i am 13 and im very unhappy with the way i look and i've got 3 months & 2 weeks till graduation and i want to loose weight and look good in my own eyes by graduation. Any tips? this is something im goin to be working really hard on and i'd like to have some help.

Hi im 13 years old. I really need to lose weight, not just for me but for my health
I have Fibromyalgia which means i get really bad pains in my lower back and right leg. I suffer from IBS and Migraines and its all linked to one illness
Due to that i cant really excercise as somedays i cant walk for the pain.
Im just looking for some tips to lose weight. If i lost weight it would make me really want to push to fight my illness

It is so disapointing to see such young girls fretting about weight and trying to lose weight to look good on holidays etc. You should be worrying about spots and boys rather than weight. If you do really want to lose a few pounds the best way is to do it gradually by eating 6 small meals a day containing palm size portions of protein, carbohydrates and fruit/salad in each meal. I know the teachers always said it and I never believed them when i was in high school either, but breakfast is actually the most important meal of the day. It gets your metabolism going first thing which helps you break down the food and gives you energy. Drink lots of water throughout the day as it helps flush your system. cut out the c**p food. Limit yourself to one or two treats at the weekend. If you're up at normal time of 7 am don't eat after 7 pm, its my little 12 hour rule. When you eat before you go to bed the body is trying to switch off so it is unable to digest the food in your stomach properly so the food just sits in your stomach thus turning into fat. Bearing in mind if you've had a long day and are hungry eat some cherry tomatoes(zero calories) or have a cuppa soup to warm your insides a couple of hours before bedtime. Exercise 5 times a week but do different exercises every second day. Like for first day go for a half hour brisk walk, second day do some light weights with dumbbells and toning exercises like crunches, squats and planks. Third day go on cross trainer and rowing machine for half an hour combined (if you are not a member of a gym get out your pushbike and go for a half hour cycle)fourth day go walking for half an hour again and on the fifth day go walking and do toning exercises. You must remember that it is unsafe to eat too little (2000 calories daily amount for women) and it's ridiculous really because beauty is only skin deep and honestly there are a lot more things in life to worry about than losing those few pounds. Remember, you only have one life so live it to the full. I hope my guidelines are of some use to you and I'm sure that after a few weeks exercising you'll feel confident and adopt my favourite little saying 'If you look good you feel good and if you feel good you look even better' So make yourselves feel good, by doing it a good way. Im 18 years old, Im 5'2, and weigh 180 something pounds. I really need to lose weight. Im going to try a strict diet. Im going to walk as much as I can, drink nothing but water, eat small portions in the morning, at lunch, at 4, then at 7. After 8 I won't eat anything else. And i will exercise by dancing for about 2 hours. I'll come back on this site in two months and tell you guys if I have lost the weight and if you should try it.

I'm 18. I weigh 196 lbs. I'm a varsity girls soccer player and am being recruited for college soccer and track. I don't eat sugar, other then from fruit. I eat a lot of vegetables and only drink water. I exercise everyday and sometimes two to three times a day. I don't eat a lot of red meat and i have small portions. I limit carbs. Any advice on how to shed the weight? I want to lose at least 40 lbs before prom at the end of may.

I recommend the R&D Diet Cookie if you want to lose weight fast (or slow and steady, it works both ways). They are filling and keep you satisfied so you will eat fewer calories and lose weight. They are kind of a protein/fiber bar just in a cookie shape and easy to carry around. I lost a lot of weight on them a couple of years ago and still use them now and then to keep the weight off. :-D

I'm 15, 5'2, and 155 lb. I used to weigh 140, but I gained back all the weight I lost. I'm going to Spain this summer, and I really don't want to be judged as a "typical american" because of my weight. So I have 3 months to lose as much as possible. I think I can manage to get to 140, which would be great, but I might need some motivation. Any motivating ideas??

No not eating doesnt work. It just depends on what you eat stuff like berries,turkey,enova oil,peanuts,and low-fat yogurt are good things to eat.They are fat burning foods i am also a teenager and i tried starving my self and it took me way over 3 months then i did some research and found way better solutions then starving yourself.

all of you desperate to reduce your weight, but one thing i tell you that. you didn't gain all the weight in one night so you can't reduce it also not in night. you may try only. it not easy but it is not impossible. you can make it possible by some exercises or diet plan. you can also find some more easy and natural tips and suggestion from your health orbit to know how to get rid of stomach fat.

You may as well learn now that there are no short-cuts to weight loss... no magical pills, magical diets, etc. The only, ONLY thing that actually works is reducing your calories. Count how many calories you eat now and I think you will be surprised. Then cut it in half and see what happens. Good Luck!
