I'm a caucasian girl (if that matters) and i've always have a head of thick, straight hair. I've noticed that my pubic hair is also very straight and thick. Is this unusual? Because i've heard that pubic hair is usually curly.
And while i'm talking about that, that area has been itchy lately. Could that be a sign that i might start my period soon?

Some Asian people have straight pubic hair (as do many westerners), although curly pubes are much more common. The texture of pubes differ from person to person and does not necessarily coincide with race.

that is completely normal! pubic hair comes in all textures, lengths, colours, and thicknesses regardless of race or gender/sex. If you have any more questions, go visit your health care professional for more information and don't ask randoms on the internet :)

Having straight hair - whether its thick or not - is completely normal. We are used to seeing curly pubic hair but it doesn't mean every human has the same hairs. There is a variety of pubic hair and you should not worry about being normal or not just because your hairs ain't curly enough.
I have always had straight hair, and I felt weird for a long time, then I discovered that other women (and men) had actually the same hairs, but it is pretty rare. So don't you worry guys and girls, you are not weird, instead you could think about this in a whole different way:
- Actually, you are pretty unique !
