Spending that much money on something I don't even know whether it will work (and some people most definitely say the Clarisonic skin brush is too harsh for their skin!) is intimidating though. So I think I want something a lot cheaper. Thanks for the Olay Pro X brush recommendation. That is much more affordable and is probably what I will end up going with.

I just wanted to warn people who may fall into the same trap I did.
I bought what I thought was a Clarisonic Mia 2 from a local second hand sales group on Facebook, only to find out shortly afterwards that it was a poorly produced fake that did not actually work, probably made in China. That was after already using the Olay Pro X which I was happy enough with but what I saw this I thought, OK great deal. Fake Clarisonics are out there and being sold to easily duped customers like I was. Of course the seller turned out to have a fake name, etc, and I just lost the money. Don't make the same mistake I did.
