I too have been having this problem and can't seem to find any information on it other than these posts. I have psoriasis but none appears on the breasts. My torso has also been itchy. I only wear cotton bras (only one isn't 100% cotton) and they are all the right size because I actually got measured. I can't figure it out! Weird.
Oh, god, I'm so glad I found this. I was worried it was just me. The itching's really terrible, I'm 17 and have large breasts, and a few months ago it started mildly. Now I feel like chopping off my breasts so I can feel better, it's especially bad during the showers, and it has nothing to do with bras - I tried new ones, it changed nothing. If I end up scathing them (the itching's focused on the nipples, though it all over the breasts), it doesn't even get better, I just make them bleed and get really sore.
I'm going to see a dermatologist, see if it's some kind of rash or something. I'd be quite bad to have cancer at 17.

I had my mammogram done it came out find. But something is wrong I dont know i need some important and some help. look like to me this rash is getting bigger. and the area where the rash is feel different from the rest of my breast if feel hard i just cant explain it all.
I am 31 and am in the Army, therefore I sweat a lot and thought itchy breasts would come from that maybe. But it has been going on for about a year. Now they are getting very very sore at times to the point i can't allow them to bounce at all even when i walk. I am really afraid that I have breast cancer because I did read somewhere that this is a symptom of cancer! If someone has suggestions on relief i would really like to come back and read them. o.O
Yes, I too have been having very itchy breasts for a few weeks now. Here is my scenario: I wear Victoria's Secret bras, am not large-breasted, and am very active. I play tennis and have been wearing Champion sports bras from Target. Of course they are snug and I sweat profusely in the summer heat. I have been using a cheap laundry detergent called Sun, but do not put my bras in the dryer. I am a very young 55-- no health problems. Hydrocortisone anti-itch cream brings temporary relief. I'm just wondering what is the real culprit!
I'm 13 and have just come on my period. But just before i came on, my breasts started itching, then it was bearable, but now i have come on its completely un-bearable. They are a 34 B/C, they're itching like crazy and i really dont know what to do. I've read a few places that this is a sign of cancer and im scared of that. But i also have sensitive skin and exzema (or however you spell it :-) ) even still, there is no dry skin in the itchy area :/ any ideas??
I think that it's not cancer. Itchiness can be caused by the dry skin and realize that you're on your period and your breasts have grown fairly recently so that's probably why it's itchy. I think it's a good idea to see the doctor just to make sure things are okay. How does that sound?
I had itchy breast for about a year. I went to a dermatologist and was advised it was eczema since the treatment of Hydroxyx HCl and a steroid cream worked. The problem with this was that as soon as I stopped, it came back. It was horrible and only other relieve was to lay on my breasts or take the meds (steroids are not recommended long term specially on breast). The other option was to get tested for Paget's, but I had no symptoms of any breast cancer. I got married about a month ago and started living w/ my new husband. After a week of living with him I the itching started to subside. Then I started to move my furniture to his house including me King size bed with a wonderful Serta Ultimate 4-inch Memory Foam Mattress Topper. Had this for a few years before the itching, so I didn't think any of it. As soon as I started sleeping on it, I started itching again. Told my husband to remove the pad, I sprayed the top of the mattress with Lysol to kill any residue of the foam, washed, all of the mattress covers, pad etc. I haven't been itching since.
If you have a memory foam topper, remove it and see if you're allergic to the chemicals on it.
The sad part about this is that if I had not gotten married like I said would never would, I would have still been suffering with this.

Hello I have been reading the posts about "ichy breasts" I am 56 years old and past my menopause. I started having this problem earlier this summer. At times it would subside but then flare up again. After scraching the heck out of my breasts, to the point of brusing, I finally made an appointment with my doctor and now have great relief. I wanted to share it with you out there in hopes that it will help you as well.
The doctor's first step was to nutralize the situation, ie. stop the itiching. She put my on a drug called "REACTINE Cetirizine Hydrochloride) 20 mg." I take 1/2 a tablet at night time for one month. It is a antihistamine. The second step was a lotion called "UREMOL UREA HC" This is a lotion with cortisone to lubricate the affected areas and promote healing. Within a couple of days the itching was gone. The premis is that after one month and once my skin gets back to normal and the medication is stopped, if the itching is gone we will be a wait and see. If the itching comes back then we will do blood work to see if my hormone levels are off. I will write again in November to let everyone know how my situation is.
I hope this helps some of you.

I don't ever wear bras, and my guys are itchy as heck. I can't stop, and it hurts.
This could be from your breasts growing (the itching). If you have not gotten your menstrual cycle you should go to the doctors. Same with the cramps in the legs and knees. It could be something serious
I've also been having this problem. I bought a new bra didn't help. I am going to the doctors tomorrow about it. I 'll let you know what happened.
My name is "Relieved Guest" not because my breasts have stopped itching...but because I found this thread! Holy cow, I thought it was just me!
My itching is confined to the bottom half of my breasts, no nipple itching at all.
I had started to notice that the itching got worse with specific bras, and am now going to try not wearing the specific ones to see if it makes any change.
Over the past 3 years, I've lost 80 pounds, so I went from a G to a small D in cup size, but they didn't start itching until about 6 months ago.
I gotta say, I'm just relieved that I'm not alone on this one. I didn't even know what to search for online and this thread came up instantly. I mean - who has itchy breasts? Apparently a lot of us!

I'm sixteen and I've got DDD. I mean, I just got these bras like a month ago.. they couldn't have shrunk and I don't see already growing out of them... (is it possible to grow that fast? eeek, I hope not... my wallet can't take it) but I itch like crazy. It's painful and a bit embarrassing. I've tried to take care of them the best I can... I wash with antibacterial soap and face wash for sensitive skin as well as lotion. :/ I make sure I'm totally dry when getting out of the shower... meh! it hurts! *huddled in a ball, wishing for it to go away*
