Hey.. had this for months finally went to Dr. It was a fungus and he prescribe a Topical Antìfungal - Corticosterod cream. (Latriderm Cream) to apply twice a day. It worked.
This is exactly the way the left side of my upper back, around the shoulder area feels, Along with the itching, there is like something crawling around in that area of my back. Sometimes it drives me crazy. It all started suddenly, about 6 months now. The use of a foot fungus spray like tinactin (tolnaftate) seems to help sometimes. this condition can really be annoying.
I had this same thing. My doctor said it was nerve damage from the way I sit at the computer.
Ask you doctor to refer you to a specialist who deals with that area
Ur so called doctor is not certified in that area to diagnos you get a second n third opinion it's your right

I would love to know what this is. to look , but there is nothing there!! I am like everyone else, I would ask my Dr. to look but there is nothing there to see.
Hi, I had this itch at the back near left shoulder blade. Sometimes it felt like something was crawling underneath. It was 11 years ago. I couldn't find the answers at that time. So I didn't do anything about it. Then slowly it turned into muscle pain at the same spot. My back, shoulder, armpit, left arm and even at the front, muscle underlying below my breast all hurt. My gp told me to get a massage. He said I have stiff muscles due to poor posture. So I started getting massages from a myotherapist and it got better. So try a massage guys. Find a therapist not the ones in the shopping centre. In my case that itch was the starting of muscle inflammation. Hope it helps.
leaning forward and shoulders drawn forward put a pressure on back muscle. So try to stay straight and shoulders drawn backward or do stretches. Or buy that posture correcting braces.
