Since I'm a child I get a strange irritated feeling in my lower left intestines. I never had problems until the age of 24. It's the time when I started to eat very sharp food from time to time, because I love that. Thats when I got some problems with bloating sound from time to times. But its now after some years that the situation got drastic, I drank few water and consumed alcohol and sharp food on a day and it broke down. Since then I have constant blurping sounds and growling. When I'm stressed it gets worse, when I eat a tiny portion of something mildly sharp or drink alcohol, it gets worse, drinking water before eating helps to not make it growl too much, but drinking while or after eating makes it worse. I will read the other comments and collect information, I think that your infos, coupled with exercise, right sitting and lying can get me out.
Still I wonder what it is with that irritation in my intestines that seems to be the cause of all the wrongs...

I too have been diagnosed with IBS however I also have a stomach ulcer. I've had IBS for over a year now and it's frustrating I know, nausea, stomach pain, dizziness, and the GRUMBLING. So far nothing helped for me but it may not be the same for you, some food we may be eating can cause gas and bloating, if we work out too much it increases pain and we can't stand being in quiet places cause of the grumbling. Anxiety might be one of the root causes of IBS and for all I know GERD or acid reflux causes like gurgling in the stomach and throat which from my experience is very uncomfortable

I don't know how to write this but yeah I have the same problem as you all. I'm 16. I have servere anxiety and depression and OCD. I've developed a phobia of silence and, more recently, a fear of eating. I'm currently sleeping 12+ hours because it's the only way I can escape listening to this. I feel like I'm going insane. How do you survive like this?? I just want it to stop. Permanently.
I've always been careful of what I eat and drink but now I get panic attacks just drinking water. At school it is awful. When I'm awake I'm constantly trying to find people who relate to me online. I'm obsessed with finding the diagnosis for what I've got online. I don't know how to tell my mum or even my doctor. It's such an awkward topic.
I'm not sure if posting here will help but if there's anyone else suffering, perhaps they can find familiarity in reading this and knowing they're not alone.

I have the same problem, it's started when i was 18 and now I am 27. Trust me i know what you feel and how bad is your life rn, best thing you can do is stop fighting it and try to adapt... talk with people around you show them that there is same people around the world suffer from the same problem, if you feel cant work/study around people just do it from home, start training avoid places that make you feel worst... just live your life don't let it stop you

Same it growls when I’m not even hungry just when it ever feels like it I guess. It’s really not annoying especially in school when it’s quite. ( As I’m typing this it’s growing right now ) I don’t have any digestion problems or anything. And it doesn’t feel like I have to vomit or nausea. Im honestly really confused. It just has started like a month ago.
Please help

I am currently 17 and this happened just last week when I was on a learning excursion , the horrendous accident took place in a MUSICAL THEATRE whereby they made us sit down in the dark and made us listen to the explanations of how the theatre works and the sound proof system . My stomach had already been churning before we even entered the theatre and once I entered the theatre I could feel it coming the first and second time was not very loud but could be heard I lost track of how many times my stomach had churned while in the sound proof musical theatre . Then came was the loudest growling strange noise ever that my classmate who sat beside me in that theatre moved away from me and apparently thought I had soiled my pants , he covered his nose despite there actually being no smell at all and that was really awkward for me.. I tried to disguise it as a hungry growl by saying rhetorical things like “I’m so hungry” “I wish I had some food right now” . I noticed
that this happened due to how nervous I get . I would like to know what changes I should make to my diets like for example adding on anything towards my daily intakes? Like maybe probiotic drinks? I have seen the replies and I saw medications like gas x or eg... but I do not think I will be able to get ahold of it (please help I have class this week and I’m dreading to go but attendance is compulsory..)
