Ditto Cos,Years with no problem then I get it like You.It took me years to figure out my mourning cramps ,feeling
like throwing up,diarrhea ,was from weed, unreal. After I'd stop it takes me anywhere from 3 to 7 days
to clear out and have no problem .Note, this happens to me though when I'm smoking regular. If I stop it
all clears up in a few days.Completely gone! Otherwise , bothers me in the A.M when I need to c**p.By about 11a.m to noon I'm feeling normal,it clears. If Im only smoking 1-2 x a month no problem, its when I've been toking daily for
over a couple months. So Some of You will know Your not alone, hope my post helps.Oh,if I had a long 10-12hr
work day the day before and just drank water, somthing I do often,no symptons..? Good Luck, don't smoke to
much folks!

I considered Your point in my case and that was not it for sure.My weed is always free and clean.Effects for
moldy weed and chems are easy to note for seasoned tokers. I felt alone with this and nowhere else on
the web have I read about this like here. The main thing is its correctable! Gotta stop or cut down big time.
LOL,from the toker who said it stoped his cramps by smoking,me too,It took me years of torture before
I knew for sure it was the weed.

I doubt it's got much to do with toxins, thc is relatively harmless. weed's basically a narcotic, so long term use slows your digestive system accordingly and your body adapts. naturally, switching off cold turkey will throw off your instentinal rhythmn cuz you aren't producing the same level of chemicals and your body's gotta readjust. only solution is to wait it out or see the doc to check ur small instestine for bad bacteria if it doesn't stop

Hey guys, thank you for all the information. After reading up -- for the third time; I've been through this twice before -- the least I could do is pass along my experiences. Reading this really eased my mind the first time, to know that this is actually pretty normal.I'm a 26 year old male. I smoked pretty much every day for maybe a few years, maybe closer to five until last September, I noticed one day that I couldn't scarf down a meal without being blazed. I quit cold turkey and the first few days were hellish. Couldn't eat, felt nautious, extreme diahreea, you name it. It took me about 4-5 days to get a normal, solid poop. The extreme diahreea usually subsides for me after about the third day.The bacteria posts above really shed light on the issue because many times, the stool is nothing... very small amounts of very small, a lot of the time liquidy stuff and you can actually see they look like little strands of bacteria. I started smoking again about a week after the first episode, albeit carefully, fell into a trap again around Christmas, got careful again, and now I'm returning from my fifth trip to the john today after smoking six straight days.My advice to anyone going through this is drink water and stay positive. It will get better sooner rather than later and if you can't eat, don't sweat it. Drink Gatorade, water, try to eat whatever small stuff you can and by the time you know it, the symptoms will be gone. Expect this to coincide with vivid dreams -- probably because you're not getting some chemical with weed -- which is actually a nice side effect, if you like dreaming. Again, thanks all for the input. It is comforting to hear other peoples opinions and hopefully this will make you more comfortable in a time where your mind and body doesn't feel comfortable at all.

yup but it will only make it worse within time.. If you smoke marijuana FOR diarrhea once you stop the diarrhea is going to come back and hit you harder. Same goes for other meds too . Atleast that's my experiance. Ive smoked for 3 years stoped for 9 month then started for 5-6 months now stoped again for 2 days i feel like c**p but its okay becouse its all going to be over soon. Find new hobbies, videogames,Tv,working out, etc etc that helped me ALOT.

I can't say how much this thread has helped me quit! (Or at least continue to try and quit!) I'm a 26 year old woman who has habitually smoked about a gram a day. I started smoking weed about 5 years ago and hadn't really not smoked daily except for the occasional days when my guy was dry. As a recent graduate I decided to stop smoking until I found employment. I'll be the first to admit to a group of strangers that I thought there wouldn't be any withdraw symptoms however after the first day I realized irritability, misplaced anger, obsessive thoughts, nausea and extremely loose diarrhea are DEFIANTLY withdraw symptoms for me. Its so hard to quit when you know one puff or two will calm my stomach and mind. I'll also admit to taking 5-6 secrete puffs due to embarrassment of not being able to quit a "non addictive drug". Last Tuesday I bought a 20 and smoked it all that day as my last "day of smoking" then took one hit per day for a week before stopping comepletely (those secrete puffs are the daily hits =( ) I'm two days now a week later from that Tuesday and I DO free the withdraw symptoms relenting. I think about it less, have no urge to take the pipe from my boyfriends hands an just HIT IT!! and no real urge when I'm by myself. My suggestions to anyone out there trying to quit is to honestly not stop cold Turkey, I'm my experiences you'll end up hitting it and cheating on your plans to quit only to feel guilty and too high after the deed is done. Wasn't really worth it every time I took that "one last hit." Stay strong and know that you CAN deal with the withdraws! Give yourself a goal (at first mine was to quit and then I get to smoke on 4-20) now I've changed it getting a corgi puppy once I'm employed =) being non weed oriented helped me! Be good to yourself and if you feel the urge try something mind occupying like reading a book, baking, gardening or working out!!! <3

I've stopped smoking 5 days ago and the past three days I haven't had one solid movement. It's not like I'm on the toilet every five minutes, the trips are still regular, but the firmness of my bowel movements is definitely not. Today has been the worst as I went twice in ten minutes, felt a little nauseous afterwards, but jumped Ina warm bath and am now feeling quite ok. I would say that you're experiencing the same thing but it could also be that you're eating "foreign" food that your body isn't used to digesting. The thing is, diarrhea is usually a cleansing method that the body uses and since thc is stored in fat cells, I could attribute the diarrhea to that. It's just the body's way of getting it out of your system. One thing I have read on a lot of websites is to stay away from fatty foods, anything with a lot of sugar or caffeine, and keep drinking lots of water. Cranberry juice is also good for flushing out the system. Try not to ingests high amounts of vitamin c as that has been known to cause diarrhea as well. I'm not a doctor, these are just things I've read around the internet and on various support sites. It seems to be helping me. I have noticed that my night sweats have already subsided although last night was the first real sleep I've had in a week. Keep an eye on your symptoms and make sure you see a doctor if the diarrhea persists for a week or longer. Hope this helps.

I also have been avid smoker for over 7 years. I smoke almost daily, about 2-3 joints, on some days worse some days less. I have been trying to quit for the last week because I have had some serious health problems. I also quit for a week last year because I was gone to Cuba and couldn't score. During the trip I experienced crazy diarrhea. At the time I attributed it to the food there.

But now after trying to stop here at home and experiencing similar symptoms, I have concluded that the diarrhea is a withdrawal symptom in my case. Also like some other users mentioned, I experience crazy restless dreams. I've come to realize that marijuana effects the REM stage of your sleep cycle and inhibits dreams. I can only conclude that my crazy dreams are just my body trying to catch up for all the lost REM sleep. I am a marijuana addict and I doubt I will ever be able to stop cold turkey. Most of the time I used I thought there is not much harm to the body. But in recent experiences I must not only see what I want to see and realize that marijuana does have negative effects on the body. GL to all trying to quit, including myself.
