I don't want to scare anyone but my story might be a bit peculiar. I smoked weed everyday for 10 years straight with very little days off. I've probably smoked more weed than most people do their whole lives. lol. I've been off it for 15 years. I've got bad news! The Brain Fog never completely went away! It is a permanent part of me. I feel slow, sluggish and I started having senior moments in my early 30s (during those initial 15 years). Even as I type this I can't get a clear head. It sort of feels like I'm lightly buzzed all the time. For the first 8 years it was there all the time. Now by year 15 it sort of comes and goes. Especially if I don't get enough sleep it is even worse. To make it worse, I'm a super technical intelligent guy and I'm expected to be quick and fast so it is hard to function at work even after 15 years of quitting. You see weed changes your personality and everything about you. After 10 years of quitting, I visited an old friend from middle school that I hadn't seen in decades and he immediately knew after talking to me for 5 minutes that I was once a stoner. He told me the way I carry myself was a dead give away and he could spot that in anyone. He also said his girlfriend was like that and it took years to get all those mannerisms out of your body. So it is not just brain fog but a bunch of other things. As soon as he pointed out those things I tried to consciously stop doing those things. Regarding the brain fog, basically whenever I feel tired, I feel like I'm buzzed and I haven't hit weed in 15 years! I desperately want my brain back but I think since I started in my teens it got hardwired into me. Say a prayer for me.
Same here it seems that i can't think straight everything feels odd can you tell me if it went away since this post was last year
You all need to look at what you are smoking/vaping. High THC is likely the culprit. Look for a more balanced herb with more or even high levels of CBD (cannabidiol) to counteract the effects of THC. There is also a relationship between these compounds known as the entourage effect where there is a balance needed. The industry has chased after high level THC because that is what people want but this is possibly what is causing a lot of the problems that people are experiencing in this thread.
Thanks for reporting back! Glad you’re feeling better! Any updates a year later?
