I am a girl and I am 16. What I usually do is lay on my tummy and bunch up a corner of a blanket and then position it so that the bunched-up portion is pressed against my private area. I then put my hands under the blanket to help hold it in place and to press it against me. Other than that, I don't use my hands at all.
