Hi, I too am painfully suffering through the hands and arms...I know for sure I have a bulging disk in my back and will be treated for it soon...After complaining and misdiagnosed several times I had an Mri - results were a bulging disk in back and they also found a spot on my brain..Went for a dye test on brain...they do not know what it is...I am waiting to see a neurologist...If anyone has ideas to calm the pain...do tell...I cannot take anything that affects my liver...no narcotics...Thx...My suggestion is to get an MRI to anyone at least it shows everything....Let you know when I get figured out!!!
I also have burning, tingling and numbness in my hand .ive been off work for the last 2 years now its a big problem .i cant slepp yet this only happen at night.most of the day i work 10 hours useing my hands and most off the day my hands feel cold.when i get home from a long day from work.after cleaning up then going to bed it starts .i could not understand y this is happen every night what can u do to fix this problem.
For years I had pain and tingling in my hands lasting from a few days to a few weeks or months. When I would work out for any length of time, I would get tingling (pins and needles) in my feet as well. I would also have pain in my shoulders and neck from time to time as well. In the past year, the pain has increased and become chronic, daily pain which is not too bad in the morning, but by late morning, early afternoon or evening, the pain can be very intense. I was finally diagnosed as having 3 disc bulges in my neck, along with osteophyte complex (bone spurs) in my neck. The bone spurs and one of the bulges press on my spinal cord, causing the pinched nerve.
I have the same problem as you guest. I have been having paiful hands and numbness for a year now. My doctor thought I was dreaming untill numbness went up to the elbows and was dropping things and lost some coordination in my finger tips. This is when he refererd me to the neurologist who has so far done brain and neck mri scans which are normal. No one seems to understand my problem and I am now seeing the osteopath whose help is quite significant. If I dont go for osteopath treatmemt for two weeks, my problem worsens so have to do it weekly to live like other people at least. It would be nice to know what causes all this. By the way I havent got a diagnosis yet as I am awaiting other tests.
try stretching and breathing properly to enhance your circulation. as well as examining your diet and getting enough iron and b12 to increase flow of oxygen in your blood.
Chris-
It has been 6 years now since i took Cipro. What a nightmare.....after almost 7 months most of the symptoms went away. I was also tested for lupus, arthritis, etc. I went to an internal med doctor where she confirmed it was an adverse reaction to the cipro. Now, for whatever reason...my feet and hands have become numb and tingling...all day long. Praying for healing, and seeing doctor again for tests. I hope others read your post so they can connect it as well. I have found thousands with the same issue from it.

I just turned 26 years old and lead a pretty healthy lifestyle. in 2007 I was diagnosed with Graves Disease and have since had my thyroid completely removed. ( my doctors insisted on either taking it out or killing it with radiation. had I known then what I know now I would have just altered my diet and taken regular blood test to track my hormone levels. ) I have a daughter who is almost 3. she was only 6 months when i had my surgery. i recovered quickly and didn't have any more problems with that. about 6 months after my surgery i started have problems controlling my urine. I would and still do get sudden urges to urinate and sometimes even pee my pants. my doctor tried to tell me this was a problem caused by having my baby even though i told her my muscles were fine long after giving birth and even after my surgery. shortly after that i began getting chronic migraines. they are preceded by squiggly lines of blurred vision. these migraines would make me vomit and are extremely painful. i went back to my doctor and she said they dont know what causes a migraine so she offered to prescribe pain medication. i do not like to take pills especially ones that leave me unable to care for my daughter because i cant think clearly. the migraines seemed to go away for awhile. in January 2012 over the course of about 4 hours i got a pain that started in the arch of my right foot and spread all the way up to my hip. because it was after hours i had to go to the ER. I have 2 genetic half mutations that make me more susceptible to blood clots so i thought it might be a blood clot in my leg. they did an ultrasound and could not find any clotting. the doctor at the ER said it was plantar fasciitis and to stay off of it when it got painful. i tried to stay off but i do have a 2 yr old and a job and house to care for. if my husband wasnt so wonderful i dont know what i would do. the intense pain went away but was replaced by tingling in my right foot with the worst feeling in my big toe. after a while the feeling began to spread into my leg and other foot. then i noticed that my fingers felt the same way after sleeping. i now have this feeling over my entire body accompanied by pain in my spine that radiates to my ribs.my doctor has run blood tests and has now scheduled me for an emg. she thinks she will also have to do an mri if she cant locate the source of the problem. I am used to being very active and right now i can hardly do the dishes or brush my hair. I am so scared that i am going to lose the control of my muscles for good especially because of how rapidly it is getting worse. 4 months ago i felt pretty good and now i feel like my muscles are dying and i cant stop it from happening. i feel like my doctor is not paying attention to my needs. she told me she would have the tests scheduled and i had to call her back a week later because nobody scheduled anything. they didnt even take responsibility for the oversight. i understand they are busy but this is my life. it is extremely difficult mentally to be so active for so long and now i cant do much without feeling exhausted or even nauseated. i dont think this story will help anybody but it helps me mentally to vent. i cant talk to my husband because i dont want to worry him but i am scared.
I am very sorry to hear that. I have problems also, just research and never give up. What other choice do we have?
I have the same problem started with feet worked its way up to above my knees. skin feels numb.Dr.Blamed it on my back, low B12 etc now I have pain all the time . a tired aching pain. I fell and hurt my face and now have numbness in my face, lips and left side of my gums.
Also in my hands. It never stops no matter how much I use my body to keep circulation going. I do'nt believe that is the problem. Drs dont seem to know I am fed up with only getting pain killers to solve my problem. No I am not a complainer either, as a matter of fact I minimize my problem to others , but that does not stop my pain.

i have also taken this drug and i am now started to feel all this tingling in my hands n upper back and feet area im glad i red this because just maybe this could be why this has started to me im only 31 years old and ive never had problems like this ever
I too have pain and numbness in my hands and feet. Its been 19 months and I still have not been given a diagnosis. The doctors Ive seen dont offer any diagnosis. When they found out I had a history of depression, I am dismissed and ignored. The pain is NOT caused by depression. It is possible its is made worse because of it and stress.
I have been having similar effects in my hands and feet. It is occasionally in my knees and it sort of forces me to walk around constantly untill the pain is gone. I don't know of it is a symptom of Lyme disease, which I don't know that I have, but whatever it is it increases in pain and duration every episode.
I have the same problem my hands swell and are numb and my feet and toes are numb and tingle and also i feel like my lips are going numb i hate it ! i don't know but i do know that I have cervical spinal stenosis which is pressing on my spinal cord and these are my symptomsit always happens when i lay down in bed
i am diagnosed with Degenerative Ortoarthritis/Disc Desease. My symptoms are the same as you. Also the feeling that somehow you are going to have an out of the body experience...sounds funny but is like that. I feel very week, exhausted. A weird pain also acompanies this simptoms around the hip and legs, sleepy and tired.. good luck to you! I saw an ortophedic surgeon in newark who diagnosed quickly and assertive.
I have been having this tingling at my finger tips and the tips of my toes for a while. Now i am begining to have pains with the tingling. My legs are always restless. I cant sleep good at night because everything hurts. My arms become numb, my fingers and my feet. I dont know what is going on with me. I am a little scare to go to the Doctor because i dont want to hear anything negative. The pains in my fingers and at the tips of my toes are getting worse. I dont know what to do.
