Ah! Halobetasol Propionate is my miracle cream! I have Lupus, and it clears up the skin rashes so quickly. Recently I've had the peeling fingers, but I never thought to use this cream on it. Thank you for the idea!

I have something like this aswell, it started on the side of my right middle finger but it looked like poison ivy. So i treated it as so but it spread and the skin is still pealing and bubbling up. Now my left hand finger tips are cracking and pealing, sorta looks like a dessert in a cartoon, dry with deep cracks.

I've read every ones problem on here sounds like what I've been battling with, rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma and Raynaud's disease I have a positive ANA scleroderma is one of the diseases that tightens your skin it also affects all of your organs the main one is skin and all your organs inside Raynaud's disease is when your hands get really cold and you don't get any blood circulation and you start to have ulcers underneath your fingernails to where it gets so bad that they may have to amputate because there's no blood supply.. I took care of my sister for years from all these diseases and this positive ANA, she had to move to a warmer climate after she moved I had surgery I have avascular necrosis on my left hip I only have 50% of bone loss that means 50% of my hip bone is dead I had surgery after I have surgery 2 months later I was crippled couldn't walk I went to a rheumatologist and found out I have the same thing my sister have it gets worse each year it's very hard to work with I have ra flare-ups from the rheumatoid arthritis which puts you down two to the three days. That's why nothing works for No One on here especially the dermatologist you have to go to a rheumatologist I just thought I'd share what I've been through and is very painful, but be strong!!

I have been going through this as well. But now its all but the ring and pinky fingers on both hands. I thought maybe it were a side effect of some medications I have been taking or lack of hydration. So I upped my water intake and stopped the meds but no change. I began taking vitamin a as someone said it was probably a vitamin a deficiency. 2 months in and no change. Its painful. No amount of moisturizer or exfoliating products work. Time to see a doctor and get down to the bottom of it. My grandson also has it on his hands and skin and his pediatrician swears its eczema but the prescription cream she gave him does nothing for it and I have psoriasis on my elbows and calves.

My herbalist said it was poor circulation. She said take at least 200 mgs of alpha lipolic acid a day, put calendula salve on it and keep them bandaged, After a 3 month struggle I tried this just one week already almost totally healed,

Did you ever find something that worked? I have a whole pharmacy of lotions and creams and even the Betamethasone for eczema doesn't work. Has my last doctor baffled. Was getting better, and I had started Vit. C, and one other. Any help appreciated. 5 fingers bandaged now.

I have been to several doc on my thumb and pointer finger tips getting hard, cracking, bleeding and peeling. I have received no answers, and reading though most of these reply, they have no answers either. It comes on at any time of year, this year I've dealt with it all winter. Could it be a vitamin or mineral deficiency? But since it happens at various times during the year, maybe autoimmune disorder and something sets it off to make the outbreak happen...don't know.

My brother and I both experience this on our thumb. So there is a genetic piece to it. I don't have a solution but I have found a nice relief without the constant bandaid/sticky adhesive. I put Vaseline on thick then take a small piece of paper towel, wrap around finger, then put masking tape around paper towel snugly (masking tape not touching skin) Then try not to get it wet by using rubber gloves when necessary. It heals rapidly doing this, but still comes back uncovered....going to try ACV
