I have all of what you guys mentioned... i have consulted a dermatologist but she cannot tell my problem. She just prescribed me an ointment that is for crack heel, she said to try it first in two weeks, if no result come back and she will prescribed me another. I didn't try her prescription because i strongly believe that it is not a crack heel problem... and as I search I become confused of the things that ive known, with the description of white, dry, itchy spots on foot, some says it is eczema some says its athlete's foot. its been a year now that I endure this itch and ugly feet... im hoping somebody have experience cure or recommend a very good dermatologist who can explain to me my problem and prescribe a right medicine that can stop this problem...... HELP PLEASEEE!!!!! :-| :-| :-| :-|

What you are desecribing is a benign condition called Stucco Keratosis. Look it up and do a Google image search and you will see that this is your problem. Nothing to worry about but annoying. People who say they can scratch them off should look at their feet with an angled flashlight -- you will see that there are still tiny bumps that reform into white crusty bumps as the days go by . The ones closer to the toes are flesh colored and almost invisible unless you look at them in a bright sunligh where the light comes in at an angle. Do not be alarmed because they are not considered at all dangerous.

What is Stucco Keratosis?

Stucco keratosis, also know as keratosis alba, are benign, unusual
growths on the skin.  They typically affect: The lower extremities In older individuals they are especially common in the ankles They are usually asymptomatic (do not display symptoms even though
a condition is present) and often it will go unrecognized At this time the cause of stucco keratosis is unknown Studies have shown that some types of human papillomavirus (HPV)
infection is present in 20% of rapidly growing skin warts.

What are some features of this condition?

Gray-white elevations on the skin, however pink and yellow shades have
been noted They are typically found on the lower extremities of older adults, especially
the ankles Lesions are stuck on and when scraped off there can be minimal bleeding Thickening of the skin Rippling appearance of the skin Mild wart- like growths There may only be one lesion, but usually there are multiple and may number
in the hundreds Lesions are usually small; They are usually first observed after the age of 40

I have had this same problem for a couple of months now.  I had heard that salt pulls toxins from the body and is good to soak in (but rinse off after as it is drying).  So, I soaked my feet in it every couple of days for a while, washed and exfoliated afterwards, then moisturized with either raw organic coconut oil, or vicks vapor rub (my daughter had a cold and I had just finished rubbing this on her and decided to try it on my feet on a whim! lol), then keep covered with socks.  The third time seemed to be the charm (day after the vicks rub... hmmm...) and almost all of the troublesome skin came off and I was very excited to have my soft clear skin back.  But now, two weeks later, it seems to be coming back.  I have no insurance for myself and cannot go to the doctor on my single-mom budget, am opposed to harsh medications, steroid creams, etc. and prefer more naturopathic remedies whenever possible so am looking for suggestions with this.  It is not callusus, or psoriasis.  I eat fairly healthily (mostly whole foods, avoiding sugars, starches, processed products), but have been under a lot of stress lately and am on medication for hypothyroid.  I read the post that it is possibly a yeast condition, so will be looking into that while I soak in some more salt.  Maybe I'll try Epsom salts.  Any other ideas?

Hi,

HAD THE SAME PROBLEM FOR YEARS. USED SALACTOL , WHICH CONTAINS SALICYLIC ACID AND LACTIC ACID, AND THE WHITE SPOTS

DISSEAPERED. HOWEVER  YOU HAVE TO DESINFECTED ALL YOUR SHOES OR SLIPPERS WHICH HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WHITH THE INFECTED FEET TO AVOID REINFECTONS.

I have many small white bumps on my feet near my ankles. They scratch off easily and are almost crumbly. The area is itchy after scratching. The area affected is just below the ankle and diminish in number nearer my toes. At first glance it looks like very dry skin but is very rough to the touch. This condition has existed for about 3/4 years. I have asked my Dr. about this but she dosen't know what it is.

Will someone please email me If you have figured out what the rough white spots on my feet are? Thank u!

I am a 55 year old male and have exactly the same condition. Tiny dry white bumps on my ankles that are painless and have been there about 2 or 3 years. It is very frustrating that so many describe the same thing yet we cannot get a straight answer on the probable cause.

Have this Symptom too. I think it is a yeast overgrowth problem from drinking and eating sweets. Stay off booze and do a candida out cleans, found at whole foods.
