I’m so glad I’m not alone! This happens to me as well on a daily basis, day and night, even in different places, not just school. I move a lot too just to create noise so there’s no quiet and I hate tests. I feel like all my classmates know even if they haven’t said anything towards me. I feel like crying when I tell someone this problem because they can’t relate and it makes me devastated how before this whole problem happened, I actually lived a pretty decent life and I agree with you, this stomach and butt problems cause my self esteem to just go down. To do whatever I can, I cough, drink plenty and plenty of water, eat a lot (because I also get hungry easily—because of this, I can’t eat too much or else my stomach would feel uncomfortable and I can’t eat too less because I’d get hungry...)and try to just relax myself(but it doesn’t always work). I went to the doctors once and they said, it was normal, not too much of a big deal and there were no medications. I didn’t know how to react really... honestly, I can’t remember the closest time I’ve actually had a day without this problem... I feel so envious of everyone around me who don’t experience it and want to just hide myself when it happens... I’ve had it for almost five years, wishing it would leave during the time but I know it won’t.

Yet another complication with my severe intestine growling is that sometimes it subsides, and that makes me think that what I just did before that or what I ate before that, was good for the problem. To my disappointment, it reoccurs after a few days. I have been living with this problem for 9 years now, it ruined all my social life and best years of my life.

I don’t know if you’re still having this problem, but I know EXACTLY what you’re going through. I had the same experience from the 8th grade until senior year of high school. It gave me so much anxiety and I even thought about taking online classes so I wouldn’t have to deal with tbe embarrassment, but I finally found something that worked for me. Senna (or sennakot) laxatives. It’s a natural laxative and it turns out the whole time I was really constipated lmao. Make sure you drink plenty of water with it and I’m pretty sure it should help. My aunt was having the same problem and you and I and I recommended these to her and she doesn’t ha e the problem anymore too. Hope this helps.

I bought 20 Buscopan tablets, it clearly says on its leaflet "This medicine helps to control your condition, but does not cure it. Do not take it for extended periods."

Hi
I can relate to all your symptoms and i know how difficult it could be to get through it. I was diagnosed with IBS-D and i have been able to control it . I really recommend you start taking probiotics one pill everyday before breakfast the ones i take and works the best its called culturelle extra strength (20billion cultures) also try changing your diet. Stay away from fatty foods ,eliminate fast food , greasy food and try to eat more veggies and white meat. Also stop drinking sodas stick to water and exercise regularly...i still have flare ups but not as bad as when I wasn’t taking probiotics or being careful with the food. Good luck

PLEASE READ THIS IF YOU WANT TO KNOW HOW TO GET RID OF THE GROWLING
I had the growling everyday for a year and I hated when the classroom got quiet because I was so afraid it was going to happen. I went to the doctor and got tested for Celiac Disease. Trust me its either CELIAC DISEASE or you are lactose intolerant. Everyone is talking about Anxiety on this form and this does play a key role. People can have the gene for Celiac Disease and when you go through a stressful experience in your life or you are just an anxious person, the gene can turn on. This is what happened to me Sophomore year. I went gluten free and I haven't had the growling in years. However, since Celiac is an Autoimmune disease, stress can make the symptoms a million times worse. So....to the people that are on this form who said that its just anxiety, that is not 100 percent true. Yes if you are anxious about it, it will just make the growling worse.
THESE ARE THE STEPS YOU NEED TO TAKE
1. Go to the doctors and ask for a blood test to check for celiac disease
2. If they say you have it, then you need to go 100% gluten free (it took me about a year to feel completely better and this is because your intestines are torn apart and need to heal) and in addition, you need to make sure that if you are an anxious person, you need to learn how to control this. Since Celiac is an Autoimmune disease stress makes the symptoms flare up
3. If you do not have it....still try going gluten free for about 2 months just in case you are gluten intolerant
4. If that doesn't work, try going lactose free or get a breath test for lactose intolerance
Best of luck to everyone! Know that you are not alone

The best thing you can do in my own humble opinion is to drink peppermint tea and have buscopan(its a tablet). I had the same problem you did but not to the same scale, and i do understand the phobia of quiet places. Please don't feel as if you're a freak (or anyone else with these problems) with time and patience and understanding it will get better. Also anyone who judges you for it isn't worth concerning yourself with their opinion anyway. So, what has helped me drastically is having peppermint tea an hour or two before bed, then again a couple hours before school and i also take a buscopan at that time. You can also take a flask and a buscopan into school with you if it helps. Furthermore identify your problem foods, certain things that set your problems off, for me it was too much fizzy drink and maybe too much coffee (espresso). Meditation and mindfulness can help greatly with anxiety and depression or any mental health issues so i recommend trying it out, there are several good programs out there like head space or calm and there are good videos for it on youtube. PLEASE if you ever get suicidal thoughts contact someone who you trust or tell a professional who can help you. That is very important to avoid those kind of thoughts. I understand your problem and i can tell you with it will get better, trust me. I send my love out to anyone struggling with this problem.

I saw a doctor and was told it was SIBO. Got prescribed Xifaxen and it worked. Had normal bowel movements for the first time in years too. Symptoms can back again after I finished it. I have another appointment soon to get a refill possibly.

Please update us, I think that this should be some sort of bacterial infection or overgrowth as well because the only type of medicine which works for me is the antibiotics, with exact same symptoms returning again when I no longer take them.

I have this and I have solution. Just sit on your chair like your lazy like you tail bone is touching near the edge of the chair. I've had this since 8th grade and now i'm going to be a junior soon. I found this trick while trying to make as much noise by opening my backpack or crushing a water bottle. It might feel like its not working, but it does. I have almost a normal life now that I found that trick. So just keep eating so you don't have bad hunger pains and just sit on a chair like that lazy student in class.

no dont accept because it is not actually u it is a flatulence problem which produces extra gas so just go to the pharmisist ask for simeticone medicine and drink it both day and night and in the morning drink green tea to release any gas and from their on if u avoid any greasy food, chewing gum, apples, broccles and fizzy drinks then i promise u it will get better and at the beginning the noises will start to reduce until ur body gets used to it and it rarely makes noises and trust am a 15 year old man who experienced this since yr7 when i was 12 and i never told anyone because i was so scared (i used to be the most confident funniest boys but then one day this sound occurred and from then i lost all my self esteem but now im becoming more confident i hope this encourages u to follow my guide and im out peace(ps...if ur bum is rumbling u can make it numb and their will be literally no noises just trying to help
