Gallbladder - get it checked out.
Ask to get tested for H. pylori
Try cutting out gluten, dairy, and meat from your diet. Ask to get tested for H. pylori, ulcers, GERDS, pancreatitis, Addison's Disease, and parasites. Ask for an upper GI endoscopy. You shouldn't have to live with this condition.
Have you looked to see if you have celiac disease or gluten sensitivity? This sounds like the symptoms you get with either of these, they often have the same symptoms, the only difference is celiac's is doing physical damage to your intestines but they are both adverse reactions to gluten and extremely uncomfortable to live with.

Sounds like you might be allergic to wheat or gluten. Try a gluten free diet for a week and see if you keep from experiencing the pains. Good luck

Hi my name is Valerie. For about a year now I have had this problem whereas after I eat a meal (usually when it's starchy foods but not always the case) my stomach bloats to about 2 x's the size it should be and it hurts and if you push on my stomach it's as hard as a brick and it hurts a lot! It eventually goes away after a number of hours but the problem is that I can't eat without my stomach bloating and hurting. What could this possibly be?? I'm so lost as to what it could be...

You didn’t mention seeing a doc, so I don’t know if you had any tests done on you to determine a possible cause.
There could be many causes of such symptoms and when none physical disorders are found, doctors diagnose IBS.
The problem with irritable bowel syndrome is that there is no underlying cause and that it doesn’t lead to any specific disease. In IBS, the symptoms are being treated and managed, so that the person suffering from it experiences less problems.
In order to know what you could use and what you should do, you need to be checked for an underlying causes and then act accordingly, together with your doc.

Hi I have had ceoliac for 12 years now and have never had pain on eatting, I was diagnosed through a blood test and then they took a biopsy of my intestine to confirm, other symptons encluded if I eat gluten/wheat my bowel movments would change to a kind of yellow colour and have some loose stools.. I have many medical conditons as well as diabeties and under active thyroid, which I was told was auto-immune causes my problems as the three are linked. I have had one or two attacks of wot was called vertigo, headache dizziness and vomiting, my last attack was about 3 weeks ago. I have had constipation for weeks and have been taking elax which I have had to take everyday just to get a bowel movement, I have now started getting bad heartburn which has now turned into pain when I eat, since I am on alot of medication I thought it maybe that which was the cause so I stopped them all for a few days and have taken OTC meds which only help slightly, I think Ive ruled out it being my meds that could be the cause, I dont think wheat/gluten are either. my parents had ulcers which could be a cause, Ive tried not eatting any foods that will make a ulcer cause pain for nearly a week but it does not help either
had a friend who would experience severe stomach pains after eating. went to her doctor and turns out she had cervical cancer.

Stomach pain after eating may indicate a minor food poisoning or be a
symptom of more dangerous conditions affecting the gut. They can often
be accompanied by bloating, diarrhea, and even nausea and vomiting. Most
such abdominal pain are caused by bacterial infection. Sometimes,
however, may indicate pancreatitis, cholelithiasis or cholecystitis. In
such cases, a doctor.
HI there, this comment has been very good advice for me. My symptoms are very much the same but has only occured in the last few days. Everytime I eat now straight away shooting pains occur for a few minutes in my upper abdomen. I have called the NHS 24 and am waiting for an advisor to maybe help me with what I need to get from the pharmacy. I also should probably go to my GP on Monday morning if it still the same by then. I hope it is not ulcers.
