Wish someone could clue me in cause my left side of neck also has been in pain for seems like months now, some days its hard to turn head to the left, can some one give me advice?

I have many of the same symptoms. Tightness on the left side of my neck, swelling and inflammation mostly on left side and into shoulder. Tightness and pain in ear and jaw and chronic headaches. I feel large lumps on the front left side of my neck. Chronic fatigue. Finally saw a dr and was diagnosed with hypothyroid. Unfortunately it had gone undetected for so long that it caused severe inflammation. I am only 4 days into treatment, but hopefully this is reversable .
i woke up with this terrible pain this morning and was shocked. Glad I found this forum. The pain is terrible!! i'll try the antacids...... can't hurt!! thanks!!
Me too. It doesn't necessarily hurt when I swallow, but when I talk. I'm a singer too. I was in a shouting match with a roommate years ago, and that's when I first noticed it. It goes away, but recently it's hung around. I feel a popping when I swallow sometimes too...that's been since I was in an accident about 20 years ago. I'm seeing an ENTIRE Monday.

Hi, i have the same problem but eliminate strong pain only. It feels like something scratches on the left side of my neck to the back of my throat. Sometimes the dull ache goes into my left ear as well, please help if u have any idea what it is?? My doctor told me it was globus sensation and use muscle relaxers but somehow it comes and go. Any input will be appreciated
I have it right now as well! I looked up to see if anyone else has had this. It freaking me out. It's not sore like lymph nodes it hurts when I press it . Left side of Adam's apple. Deep . I am almost thinking it is the muscles in my neck or tendons... It feels like a muscle when I rub it. Hoping it goes away soon! I have had this before! It's aggravating!
OMG.. I have the similar problem.. Twice i did ultra sound.. I have lymph node.. but the dr says its not causing pain.. My thyroid levels are prefect.. its kinda mild burning pain on the right side of my thyroid gland.. Its doesnt bother me when i speak or eat.. its kinda comes and goes.. its highly frustrating.. since im pregnant dr said he will take biopsy after my delivery.. hope nothing serious.
I am experiencing the exact same thing. If I bend down it hurts and feels like I have a small ball blocking my airway.
I feel an aching pain to the left of my voice box outsife of my throat. It has been constant and the pain has been increasing since it startef a few days ago. I have lots of the symptoms other people on here do. Im very worried because ive never had a pain like this before and people dont understand that its not just a sore throat. But when comments say it's because of acid reflex and stress I think that applies to me. Because ive been taking alleve/muscle relaxer/ibuprofen (for a sports injury) that has a side effect of heartburn. And I've been having lots of heartburn. Ive also had more anxiety lately too. Mainly I'm just concerned though because people on here are saying they have had it for many years, and I just started feeling these symptoms a few days ago.
I have just started on a new dose of thyroid medication and the pain you are describing is exactly what I am go through. I am scheduled to have blood work to test again. Hope this may help. To check if thyroid is enlarged hoshimoto syndrome is by either blood work or ultrasound
Hey. Did you ever figure out what was causing your problem? I have been having these same symptoms for two months. I have already seen 6 Dr's ans they can't figure it out. It's so frustrating. Please let me k ow what you found out. Thanks
