Anyone wondering about bits of skin connecting any other part of the head of your penis to your foreskin, other than the frenulum, should not be worried. probably 8 out of 10 males have the same thing. I'm 21 now and had this problem aaaaages ago, probably when i was about 14 or perhaps earlier. I was quite curious about what they were as i was just beginning to discover my body n' all that. I had several little bits of skin in a strip, that would slightly inhibit the retraction of the foreskin. Although one day when i was checking it out in a bit more detail, i accidentally pulled a tad too hard and the little strips just ripped away. It hurt quite a lot and i was terrified at first, but then it just healed up and all was well.
I asked a really good friend about it a few years ago, and he told me he had the same thing. it's to do with how the penis grows and develops while in the womb or something. Occasionally little bits of flesh heal or grow fused together, often in a little bridge with a hole through the underside.

Yes. Is there no other way other than going to a doctor/operation to do it? You say 8 of 10 males had it, I doubt they all had the operation. Or ripped it + blood.

If you find that your foreskin is too tight, or that a strip of skin is too taught, yes, you need to demonstrate this to your doctor.
The solution is rather simple, and the snip or surgery can be done on an out-patient basis. You'll be given some advice on how to care for yourself post-op.
One person asked if this hurts, and the answer is "no", because there are nerve deadening lotions, creams, and shots. This doesn't have to be as bad as you might think. Once the sensation is deadened, then the actual operation or snip is painless. now, afterwards, there is some sensation that returns, and you can be given products to deaden the nerves as the skin heals.
But all of this can be discussed with your doctor. Make an appointment or bring it up on your next visit.
Good luck.
Let us know how it goes for you.

That ain't what he's talking about, look at your penis when its hard. (And sorry for me being blunt.) Look at it when hard and see if you can see stitch marks. I was freaking out about mine when your age as well. You see, back in the day they took more off when circumcising than nowadays. Sometimes there were HORRIBlE accidents; that peice you see assures the chopped off part would stay on after birth. Parents like to forget about it cause they were too cheap to fix it.
But it's actually easy to fix. Just got to a urologist, and tell him it causes iritation, even if it don't. I had a girl mistake mine for STDS, get grossed out. IT's f*cked up how some parents are. But an urologist can fix it, and if you say it is causing problems your insurance will pay for it. That is, if you have insurance... if you don't, good luck. There could be a big bill.

I'm 15 years old and i'm in a similar position and i think i may require surgery i was looking up "frenuloplasty" and it said "A frenulectomy is generally considered a minor procedure, and may be performed under local anaesthetic or general anesthesia if the resection is more extensive or if the patient is too young to cooperate as needed to perform the procedure.
If the repair is extensive, it may require closure with absorbable sutures, which fall out in approximately 10 days - and the patient is usually put on a short course of analgesics to deal with the short lived discomfort. Pain may be felt for many days after surgery. Although painkillers are given, discomforting pains are still felt when masturbating or urinating" does this mean pain will be felt long after surgery or just during recovery, Also is there stitches or scars left from the procedure?
