No disrespect to how you're feeling but saying that someone who has been on subs for 3 months has thrown their life away is probably the most idiotic thing I've ever heard. The addicts in us want immediate gratification and to feel better immediately after we stop druggin. Sure - subs take a while. A lot of meds stay with you a while. Life is a journey - not a destination. It will get better.
Yae to JoJo and Boogiefoote, good words and advise with life to them.
r u kidding me? Get off this sight. This is for support, not failures.

Am at the 8 month mark and I nearly put a bullet to my head. The suboxone has destroyed me completely and I dont believe it will ever get better.. People have to know the TRUTH!
I really feel for those who have taken sub longer then 2 weeks. It occupies some receptors which produce endorphins, once that passes your messed up.
You are NOT feeling well or else you would not be searching for suboxone forums. You can admit the truth rather then living in a fantasy world. Permanent damage has already been done.. My own doctor said it PERMANENTLY damages the brain where you will ALWAYS be depressed all your life.
8mg for 7 years? hate to say this but I dont believe you will ever recover. You need to go the doctor and get some testes done , if you feel depressed you may need permanent medications, but even they do not work.. I feel bad for you.
Are you effing kidding me? Honestly - please don't ever post again. The fantasy world is called 'hope'. Your doctor is an id**t. Anybody who tells you that 'you'll never be right' and that you'll be stuck in a depression for eternity knows nothing about recovery or how addiction works. I sincerely hope you find some help and something to cling on to.
We do recover -
When at the end of the road we find that we can no longer function as a human being, either with or without drugs, we all face the same dilemma. What is there left to do? There seems to be this alternative: either go on as best we can to the bitter ends—jails, institutions or death—or find a new way to live. In years gone by, very few addicts ever had this last choice. Those who are addicted today are more fortunate. For the first time in man’s entire history, a simple way has been proving itself in the lives of many addicts. It is available to us all. This isa simple spiritual—not religious—program, known as Narcotics Anonymous.
But there is talk of sub killing off your receptors to the point of no return, and how it is inhumanely possible to function in deep depression and mental anguish (from sub withdrawals) for 6 months to a year, hence why people do not stay clean after quitting subs or are suicidal..

This is so depressing! I stopped Subs probably three days ago and have been tapering off for months! My joints are killing me, I am taking tons of ibuprofin to ease the joint pain. I was taking 1mg a day for weeks. Can this pain be from WD? If so, I cannot imagine what some of you are going thru. This is hell.
If I can offer any help, is Gabapentin has been shown to help ease a little bit of the suffering. It has taken the edge off the skin crawling which was really bothering me the most.
i too was on subs for @ 6 mo.21 mgs.i came down to 6 mg. abrubtly. suffered @ a week . went back to 4mgs. then tappered for @ two mo. went all the way down to 8th.mg. then quit. i found no problems coming off that way. just know that you wernt born this way so no way are you going to stay this way. it WILL pass.
Hi buddy i too took my last bit ,6 days ago obviously if it's worked, you shouldn't feel any cravings, the worst part for me was not being able to eat and knowing the damage i'm doing,no sleep ,no nutrition. And the worst of all in my opinion, the wide awake feeling and your legs are doing a marathon, and your head is bouncing off the pillow your'e so tired but keep getting woken up by legs,The best way(i have done this three times now)is to go down every 4 days but the longer process;break up your tablet into tiny little pieces, getting smaller every time, get to about 0.2 then just 5days of no sleep and that's it,finished..all over, can i ask what you got down to?Ricky
