This board is great. my nieighbor is a er doc and gives me pain pills all the time and liquid morphine. we are having an affair and I guess this is his way of showing his love. he has me so messssed up it's not funny. i was thinkin about sub b/c i take 200mg of oxy and 40ml of morphine everyday just to feel normal. funny when my husband & him talk around the pool knowing whatz really going on. is sub good stuff???? i need off HIM and the medcine badly. his wife is sleeping around too, she talks about it alllll the time. she has slept with the guard at our housing edition and sad b/c he is a nice guy and works out allll the time. i might try him soon and get away
To be clear, I never called it dumb. Just unsettling. If it works for you then great. But I can guarantee if you suggested this to any professional addiction counselor, they'd laugh or roll their eyes. It's what we do as addicts - we want to be pain free - all the time. The NA program is rooted in this.

I hear what you're saying about time off. I was on subs for 4 years and was fortunate enough to take 10 days off of work. The 3 months that followed were a struggle and it's only by the grace of God that I was able to keep my job.

I'm honestly not sure how to comment on this. But welcome to the board. Sex/affection and drugs are often linked. It's almost funny to see the dynamic in a rehab center. The note passing - the hallway affairs - the little cliques. I can't even begin to count the number of people that I've known that have relapsed because of a guy/girl.
It's Does your husband know about your addiction? To answer your question about subs - it depends on the addict. I can only speak from my personal experience and say that I wish I would have gone down a different route. Either you stay on subs for the majority of your life or you detox off of subs which is arguably harder than detoxing off of opiates.
Take some time to read the posts. Ask around - make your own call.

suboxone is the Worst thing you can do. I have been 5 years...have been off for last 2 weeks...although been taking other stuff to stop the pain of wd and the insomnia is unbelievable. i dont care what else i have to take,,,but NEVER SUBS again. Been on subz for 16 months and just finihed my program Feb 1, 2013. I have NOT slept more then one or three hours in a row since then. I shake like crazy and eye is twitching all the time. I thought I was going to have a hearat attack on Feb 5, 2013 and spent 2 days in the ER. They had to hydrate me and gave valium. Still cantz f*****g sleep.
I agree - subz are the worst thing ever made. My doc was a drunk and hung over in every 180 dollar visit I saw him. Dr Ley or DORN network - DONT f*****g DO IT. Out of Carmel Indiana.
Worst mistake I made. ALl I was freggin taking was lortab and pure hell since.
So I got a couple dones until Tuesday.... Then ill have 15 2mg strips should I wait a day before I get back on the subs? Should I just try to get off in a week and just tough it out?

I had the same docotr Dr ley - hell yes he was drunk or stoned or something man. 160 bucks every damn 2 weeks i visited that drunk bastard for a scrip to pay 240 dollars out of pocket. IF u have the sub strips, how do you split them up to do this?
How do you do this method with the sub strips? can you split them? just starting researching & see now it comes in strips & no longer tablets. Thanks for any help.
i trimmed my sub strips with manicuring scissors. That being said - it's a bit of a nuisance because the slightest humidity or damp surface will melt it.
