Uncomfortable pressure under left rib cage

Hi --
For the last six months or so I have had uncomfortable pressure under my left rib cage. When I first noticed it I was sick with the flu and my husband made me go to the doctor. They did an MRI and ruled out any problems with my spleen, etc. It seemed to go away after that, but lately I have been noticing it again. I feel it when I am lying down and sitting down. I try to stretch or move into a more comfortable position but it just won't go away. Not painful exactly, just a dull ache and pressure. Any ideas?
Thanks.

I have the same feeling as you all have described. While it feels "mechanical", when I take a low dose of an anti-anxiety medication, it goes away 90%. That makes me think it is anxiety related...
Command. They have figured out the connection. We will need to put the implants someplace else.
Hi this might sound very odd but I have had this for around 3 years and I friend told me that I could be due to trapped wind that the body can't lodge, may sound to simple but try taking anti acid tablets it helped for me.
I have been experiencing the same thing and gave my doctor the same example. A fullness that is more uncomfortable than painful, like having a babies bottem pressed in your ribs. They tell me heartburn or acid reflux but I have taken all the medicines they recommend for me already with no change. Have you had any luck?

I'm so glad I came across this post as I'm suffering very similar discomfort and am quite worried about it! I've had to take my bra off today as the wire was just unbearable and now I feel like I have "something" pushing up into my left rib. My ribs are now sore with all the poking and prodding I've been doing so think I'll try going to the docs and see what they say. I can't fell any lumps when prodding about but when I sit down and now when I stand there feels like there's something there which is making me really uncomfortable!
I had same thing X 3 months and went gluten free X 1 week and now my pressure is gone. No just need to be tested to confirm.
I had this dull uncomfortable feeling as well for months. I had gone to the ER one night after someone told me it could be a kidney stone. It was not. Went to my primary doctor who right away said it was my muscle and sent me to physical therapy which did help but once I stopped doung the exercises it came back. What she had also did was rub the muscle and did pressure points. The muscle is actually very big and goes from you back and wraps around your side to the front. The pressure point is in the back and now I have my husband do it and rub the muscle out and it works perfectly. I do think those who are being told it is from anxiety, that could be true because when you get anxiety your body tenses up and so the muscles are getting tight. I totally recommend trying physical therapy and or a masseuse to rub the muscles out.
