Hi All,

I am not giving medical advice just my own personal experience.  I get my discharge from what I eat.   So I reduced things that I analyzed were giving me discharge, especially sugar things, like carbs, really sweet fruits, like sweetened dried fruits, things with High Fructose Corn Syrup.  That one is the worse!  I try to eat vegetables more and protein.  I am now using chorophyll and live acipdophilus drink.  But the best thing I have found is that in other countries women have herbal remedies to treat this problem.  So I am using a soap made with the herbs.  It comes in other forms too.  A pill which you place in your vagina before sex or anytime.  This is great!  Another form is a stick that looks like a penis to me.  I won't use this cause I read it can get stuck in there because it dries your vagina fluids quickly.  But why suffer when other cultures have the answer. Then I found another place that sells it in pill form that you take in your mouth.  I hate pills.  But I am hapy with the soap and the vagina pills.  It drys it out great. The bad side is it tightens your vagina.  So women with loose vagina walls use it too.  I use it to keep the discharge away.  I am happy I no longer have to suffer with my food based discharge.

I have this same problem for the last 3 years...I have been to many doctors and they keep saying it is norma but I KNOW it wasn't like this before!!!!!!

I recall when it started though… It was right after I had a UTI (urinary tract infection) and so I went to the hospital and took an antibiotic. I had an yeast infection right after taking the antibiotic and so I treated it. The problem is that I believe the antibiotic might have killed some bacteria that should be part of my vaginal balance because it NEVER ever went back to a normal discharge. My discharge before was clear and this white gross stuff totally ruined my relationship with my boyfriend. I had been with him for years before this happened so it cannot be an allergy caused by him. I also have been taking the same birth control pill for years so it cannot be due to the pill. Once, one of my doctors was puzzled after trying to treat me for yeast infection for a longer time, then treating me for BV for a long time… she came to me and said: “it looks like there is skin in your discharge as if your vagina inside is peeling and I don’t know why this is happening” – GREAT!!! No infection, gross white discharge that will make me dry during intercourse and will also embarrass me by covering my boyfriend’s #ick with it! Someone please help. I NEED to have my clear, slippery discharge/mucus back.

Anyone found the answer?

I'm 15 and I have had thick white vaginal discharge, my boyfriend and i have sex often and when he pulls out theres spots of sometime small, or big blotches of that white thick discharge. My boyfriend and I have been dating for 6 months on January 14, 2012, we started having sex about 3 months into our relationship. Every since the first to second month of having sex the discharge starting coming. My boyfriend used to give me oral but the discharge started getting bad he stopped, he said it barely smells, it tastes kinda bitter, it doesn't hurt him, sometimes when we have sex it hurts me, and he said i hardley get dry faster. We use different types of lube, water-based, warming, tingling, sensitive, and silicone(The lubricant's brand name was MOOD), if we're really desperate we'll use spit too. Sometimes the lube makes more discharge come out then usual. When we first noticed the discharge was when he pulled out from sex he thought it was just that i squirted. Then it kept happening.

Sometimes when i'm sitting at home, school, walking, or just chilling i'll leak, it gets so annoying. My boyfriend talked to my mom she said it was a yeast infection because I was young and wearing thongs and skin tight jeans. She bought me this cream stuff you stick up your vagina to make it go away, it was a 3-day treatment, she also bought me Summers Eve to whip my vagina with after i went pee. It stopped for a few days, then it came back again i haven't been wearing thongs, I have been wearing boyshorts, and still skin tight pants. I'm not sure what to do anymore. I wish someone knew what the hell was wrong. :|

I have had the EXACT same problem for over 8 years. All the gynos I have seen said everything was fine. Very frustrating. I try to control it now with boric acid supositories, probiotics (also eating A LOT of PLAIN yogourt, or Kefir is equally amazing), and avoiding ALCOHOL and SUGAR! Those are the worst. I once went on a 'yeast' diet for 4 months and I honestly had never felt better in my entire life. It was just fantastic. I don't seem to have the discipline to do it again (and it was horribly boring and you can't eat ANYTHING - google it). But those who are desperate, try that diet for a few months and your life will change DRAMATICALLY! Also, after complaining for the millionth time to my doc, he prescribed this new medication- apparently for women like us- I don't remember the name but I'm sure it had the word vag in it or fem... and all it is is an intense, pure dose of VITAMIN C. (Don't go try and put your chewable vitamins in your vagina now!!! You need the proper kind. I never got to try it because it costs 80$/5 days and you need to keep taking it for it to work and insurance doesn't cover it. I am in Canada, by the way so it may not be available in the states or elsewhere... Anyway- that may work. I hope I helped some people out a bit.

i have had this same issue now for about 9 months. i keep thinking i have yeast infections because i noticed the problem started after taking antibiotics and it never seemed to go away. i tried treating it with every over the counter yeast treatment i could find and nothing helped. i recently went to the doctor and he said he saw no sign of yeast but still gave me diflucan because i asked for it. i noticed it got a little bit better for a week. then i had sex with my boyfriend and now it is back. mine also is so thick it doesnt come out of my vagina. this may sound gross but if i stick my finger in my vagina and pull it out the creamy white discharge is on my finger and it sticks to the walls of my vagina. im getting really irritated and i too think about this all the time and it frusturates me so much. i dont know what to do. ive been taking cranberry pills and acidopholus and eating plain greek yogurt to try to make it go away. nothing is helping and i dont know what to do.

I am so glad I am not the only person to have this problem, I have been suffering from terrible, thick horrible discharge for nearly 4 years now and it has really begun to get me down as I feel like there is no cure for it and is ruin my sex life!!

I have been seeing the gyno for nearly two years and they keep telling me that there is nothing wrong, I KNOW THERE IS!!! I was not like this all my life, I use to have a normal discharge that was clear, the NHS website says that if you notice a huge difference in discharge you should consult your doctor. I have had test after test for Yeast infections, virginal infections, STI's so on…. and I have also had a laparoscopy. It makes me feel unsexy and so my confidence has dwindled and this does affect my once really healthy sexual relationship with my boyfriend. He has been great but we can't have oral sex now the discharge is really bad and tends to worsen during sex.

Any help or guidance would be so very much appreciated, as the doctors are completely useless.

Thanks

Hi, girls

I myself have this problem and there are signs of recovery (currently as I write this).

I don't take birth pills, no sex, but I have the problem anyway.

Its basically the yeast overpowering the bacteria in your body.
So you should take probiotics, and most importantly...

STOP WASHING THE INSIDE OF YOUR PRIVATE PARTS!
especially with feminine hygiene wash...it should only be applied outside.
Stuff used to kill bacteria usually do not discriminate when destroying bacteria so both good and bad bacteria gets destroyed.

Douse stuff is also basically washing the inside, right? So stop that too.

Your body would naturally recover. I was told it usually takes a week but I already see signs of recovery from 1 and a half day (Basically less clump, and less white)

1 interesting fact is that 3rd world countries do not have this problem...
Because they are so busy or poor, they don't care about washing the inside.

So if your doctor has eliminated every single STD, bacteria or yeast infection, try this!

Also avoid sugar as best as you can until it goes away (still cutting down sugar is good) as it promotes yeast growth.
And I don't know if this helps,
I drink alkaline water so it does good things to your PH levels in your body as food are usually acidic.

Hope this helps!

LADIES I HAVE COME TO SOME CONCLUSIONS:

I have been dealing with some similar symptoms, however mine seems to be more mild and has improve alot since i stopped taking my birth control pills. Actually, this is when this all started. After reading through ALL of these posts I have pondered a few possibilities.

1. Yeast or bv causing bacteria are present in the vagina but are not showing up on the culture/gram stain/wet mount. I have had bv once before that did not shouw up in a typical wet mount using Amsels Criteria( presence of clue cells, whiff test, pH >4.5). MAKE SURE YOU ASK WHICH KIND OF TEST THEY ARE PERFORMING< ASK FOR THE MOST SENSITIVE AVAILABLE. HOWEVER when my very experienced doctor looked at the sample under a microscope he saw many bacteria. I took Metro-gel and went back in for a follow up, no bacteria are found, however he did notice excessive EPITHELIAL CELLS...which could mean...

2. MAYBE our excessive shedding during sex is really our mucus lining coming out of us during friction. Some hormone imbalance can cause excessive epithelial shedding/discharge.

3. HORMONE IMBALANCE can cause excess discharge, have your hormones tested ladies!

4.ATROPHIC VAGINITIS- reduced estrogen caused thinning of the vagina which causes excessive (clumpy) epithelial shedding.

5.CYTOLYTIC VAGINOSIS-basically a woman has TOO MANY GOOD bacteria, causing the vagina to be TOO acidic and contributing to a possible sour/vinegar smell? Also causes thick creamy or clumpy discharge.

6.LACTOBACILOSIS-SIMILIAR TO ABOVE

7.SEMEN ALLERGY, your partners semen could be causing an irritation that causes excessive inflammatory shedding.

ALSO LOOK UP MORE RARE BACTERIUM SPECIES SUCH AS STAPH or rare forms of STREPTOCOCCUS.

We need to get to the underlying cause in our bodies which is throwing us off balance. Consider getting your blood sugar checked, diabetes can cause vaginal infections, consider getting your thyroid and blood checked.

Also, look for a gynecological specialist or even an infectious disease specialist.

I have the same problem! Thick discharge . It is very white and there is so much of it. I can literally scoop it out and it is getting so bad that It gets into my under wear now. It goes on my boyfriends genitals when we have sex and sex has become uncomfortable and painful. Im dry during sex and cant get wet anymore. i don't enjoy sex at all it is painful but most painful when im on top. Me and my boyfriend have been together for 1 year and 8 months and this started about 6 months ago. we have sex with out a condem almost ever time and he ocassionally cums in me . I was on birth control the whole time we were dating. I am a very stressed out person like the first girl said that posted this. I have to wash every day down there. If I was out the inside of my vagina it goes away for the day then comes right back. I have gone to the doctors they said its not a yeast infection, BV, STDs or anything. I think this is a serious problem because everyone on here has it.

If you think its birth control, stop using it to see for any changes (aka no sex for awhile). If not, try the above method I posted on page 11.

I don't know if this helps you girls out or not, but I know my girlfriend very well and this has just started with her, though she denies it. Plain and simple, I know when it started. She was concerned about her weight and went on a *stu*pid* diet. I don't care about her having a couple extra pounds, and I might even leave her if she makes a big issue out of this sh*t, but the week she started dieting, her 'discharge' turned from clear, sweet, and liquid to something that looked more like cottage cheese and tasted like sour milk. Ladies, you're all different, I know, but stop *fuc*king* up your bodies to look like an AIR BRUSHED MAGAZINE COVER. Point blank, use condoms, deal with your period, practice safe sex, and stop messing up your hormones. seriously, do the math dummies. Hormones affect more than your vagina, they affect your mood, your mind, your body, and honestly no one enjoys being around a moody, mad, unreasonable, achey, bitchy woman. Took me half a year to get my girl off those drugs and she's never felt better or been happier.... until she started her diet and ended up like all of you, bitter with a smile while I make her happy ;-) Thats my advice, I'm a guy, that's why I sound mean. Buhbye.

You may be the most ignorant person I've ever encountered. I pity your girlfriend.

Ok, as a long time pap smear screener (and a chick!)---  in the absence of yeast, BV or other assorted vaginal infectious agents that your doctor will have tested for (STDs, parasites, etc..) this is most likely to be lactobacillus overgrowth, often cited as cytolysis on your pap smear.  These (good!) bacteria actually eat up the squamous cells that line your vagina (sounds scary, but that is where the consistency of the discharge arises).  I will reassure you that this, although icky if extreme, is not pathologic. To keep them in line, take a good, strong probiotic.  The thrive in a lower pH, which is why it is very difficult for things like yeast (Candida) to accompany a lactobacillus rich environment (also good).  Not so good for sperm, though...  Sugar and wheat will 100% absolutely make it worse.  Avoid them!
