Hi there - I am 2 1/2 weeks post op - had a bad enough time. Was put out and given morphine during theatre after getting a d&c and novasure done. The pain was bad, was double dosed up with morphine and sent home later that day, couldn't string 2 words together. Next day period came on which was light :) feeling not too bad pain was manageable just a few painkillers. period finished a few days later. Then saw green discharge phoned doctor who then informed me an infection and to come and get 2 different doses of antibiotics and to get a swab done the next day. Test results came back as confirmed as an infection, new antibiotics. Past couple of days, I am noticing like a burning smell when peeing. No sure if this is infection clearing or another infection. Going to doctor again on Wedensday get another swab done to rule this out. But a bit worried about the smell ... other than that back to work and doing good otherwise.

just wanted to update... 4 1/2 weeks on and I feel great!! I was the first into theatre onthe morning of my op but the last to go home - felt nauseous and needed an anti-sickness tablet which was very unusual for me but I didnt feel so bad when I heard the nurses say that this seems to be normal for those having this proceedure.

I had a pain in my side a few days after the proceedure (like having a stitch) but otherwise no pains.  Took a couple of ibuprophen for a couple of days as a precaution but reckon I likely didn't need them!

I had some light discharge each day until last week - but a panty liner was sufficient.  I have had no period like bleeding since 16 March before my op and the only thing now is that I am wondering if I will yet have a period or am I one of the lucky ones!?!?  My consultant was amazed that I had no hot flashes whilst having the pre-op implants but I did have a few during the week after the op.

So far so good and after losing weight due to being anaemic this time last year, my appetite is now back with a vengance and I have gained nearly half a stone in the last 2 weeks (of course celebrating 2 birthdays in the family may have contributed to this!)

Fingers crossed but early indications I think are positive ones :D

I am at day 4 with my ablation and I feel much better. I have read several post and I thank God I have not had many issues. Yes some leakage (clear) daily but not more than a panty liner. I just hope everything continues to be well. Slight cramping for two days but I dont feel any pain now.

I had this procedure done 5 days ago with a lot of pain, cramping, diarrhea, urge to pee, and cognitive issues from the drugs.  Hard time walking and sitting.  Its been a week from hell and I have a very very high pain tolerance.  Acupuncture helped some, now I am doing cold laser and it reduced the swelling and bloated feeling immediately.  Hypobaric chamber is helping me think too.  My bladder feels more at peace too.  This is a far more invasive procedure as they make you believe.  I had no choice due to uncontrolled bleeding but this should not be taken lightly.  This is a really invasive procedure, and in the process I think they fry your entire lower abdomen with radio frequency.  Its still better than a hysterectomy.  But it should not be taken lightly.  Recovery time 1-2 days? Bull sh*t.

I had my novasure done on may 14th, it is now the 26th. My discharge doesn't have a color to it but it is so heavy that it feels like I'm wetting myself ALL day/night long. It's so bad that I am having to wear pads continuously. I am also having SEVERE hot flashes that are even waking me up at night, and I am typically always COLD. I am only 31. I do remember that my GYN told me that in rare cases that the uterus can get perforated and pierce the bladder and cause problems since it is a blind precedure. Would there be any symptoms if this was the case? Or is this heaving fluid that I am leaking normal? I have not been able to contact my doctor because she has been out of town and her entire practice has been out this week.

go to an Urgent Care Facility.  If you are this worried and your doctor is out for a week, do not wait.  :-)

Thank all of you for your repleis in this thread.  I'm 52 yrs old, and should really be menopausal, but I've continued to have periods that range from almost nothing to heavy bleeding that lasts up to two weeks, and some intermitent bleeding.  All these episodes were accompanied by severe pain.  I felt like I was carrying a bowling ball in my pelvis, with frequent stabbing pains.  I had the Novasure procedure done under anesthesia

2nd effort. After 8 days, I'm doing better, but the previous 7 were bad.  I had severe cramping.  Lying flat gave me the best relief. Standing made the cramping worse.  I, like others, felt like I had to pee very frequently.  I had very little discharge, but when I did it was accompanied by stabbing pains
