ive had this problem for over 10 years now and it got to a point when i couldn't take it any longer and decided to stopp alcohol altogether, its been 6 months now since i've been clean and i have not experienced blood in my stool since then,,, the decision is simple,, stop alcohol and preserve your health or keep drinking and die slowly.. the choice is yours.

I have this problem too. I barely ever drink, but when I do, I have rectal bleeding the next day. I could understand if I was a regular drinker , but like I said, I barely ever drink. Maybe twice a month. There has got to be something more to it. Maybe a new additive in alcohols? Because this didn't used to happen.

I've been experiencing bleeding the last few months. I've been a heavy drinker off and on for the last five years (34). It only happens after I drink, and the amount of blood correlates clearly with the amount of alcohol. I've experimented with several spirits, red wine and different beers: if I have around 5 or 6 of any of these there will be blood. There is no pain. Bottom line is that it's best to cut out alcohol entirely. It may take 5 or 6 now, but I know if I start cutting off at 3 and 4 it will only be a matter of time and internal damage before that becomes the new line. I consider it a blessing; that stuff was killing me slowly anyway

My bleeding started about a year ago and after a lot of research I've come to the conclussion mines been caused by a course of blood thining medication after a clot was discovered in my leg..
I now bruise easily, have very dry skin that splits/cracks easily especially in cold weather and worst of all I now have rectal bleeding after consuming alcohol..
Alcohol causes your blood pressure to rise so if you already have thining veins bleeding is likely..Treatment...keeping vino down to a minimum..

You my have a good point. Im 51 and used to own taverns 20 years ago never a problem and I drank a lot. Now I drink about 5-10 beers once a month and if it happens its after thosw nights. I also just had a colonoscopy and it was all good?

Please people don't diagnose yourself. My father figured he had Hemmorroids, let the bleeding go for a year, wound up with a Colostomy bag because he had colon cancer (He didnt die from it and lasted another 20 years till his 80's until he died from bleeding in the small intestine, yes he drank a lot of scotch.

I had a Polyp at 40, they removed it and I get regular screenings. I have some Diverticulosis and IBS/severe acid reflux due to Gluten. I also have internal Hemmorroids which can cause discomfort but are not noticeable for the most part to me. Every once and a while I get IBS attack and it is always following abusing the Gluten (took me 2 years to figure out I developed an issue with American Processed flour). I have seen blood before when having a gluten attack, Milk or had Roids. I thought I was bleeding dark red this morning but I drank red wine last night, cheaper stuff which who knows what they put in there. As luck would have it I'm scheduled for a Colonoscopy in 3 days anyway.

At any rate, don't let this go untreated or undiagnosed, You either have something that needs to be treated, you need to be informed about so you can change bad habits or at worse case you have one of the most easily permanently removed types of cancer. PROVIDED YOU SEEK TREATMENT.

Not trying to scare anyone but unless you KNOW it is Roids, don't assume that, that is a big gamble.
If Alcohol is causing you to bleed it just might be aggravating something already going on, Bleeding is a symptom.
Go see a Doctor, get insurance.

Same problem here and cramps that feel like appendicitis before blood. My appendix was removed when I was 5 unless it grew back again.?... Doctor said to stop drinking and these symptoms will go away. In a shitty world we all need to climb that mountain.

I originally though it was nuts causing stomach cramps and the bleeding in my bowl movements but it took me a while to admit it's alcohol.

I had this and stopped drinking vodka/soda. Do go for a colonoscopy though. You may have polyps.

That's what happened to me. Bleeding butt. Colonoscopy resulted in polyp with cancerous cell. Caught in time. GET IT CHECKED

It is a result of too much alcohol. Stop drinking for a few days or a week and see if it clears up. I can promise you it will.
