OK.. EVERYONE...
Abortion is a touchy subject, each person is going to have their own views, restrictions, and preferences.
SteadyHealth is a place OF SUPPORT, we do not call women 'murderers', or any other names.
If you personally feel that you cannot offer a poster any type of SUPPORT or FRIENDLY guidance, then perhaps you should reconsider posting.

abortion is murder period. there is a heart beat at 18 days of conception.
this is someone's choice. you preach like mormons preach their religion. no one is telling you to feel the same way they do about abortion. so stop preaching. we all have our own opinions and choices.
look at it like this, there are how many kids in this world that are put up for adoption. so lets put another unwanted child up for adoption and put them into the system. your absolutely ignorant by posting this in the first place.
realize that you can keep you preaching to yourself. and if you think i should die b/c i'm having an abortion then i think you should go jump off a cliff for giving a rats arse what other people do that doesnt effect you.
get over yourself, not everyone in this world thinks like you do and your little article post won't make them think that way either.

When women discuss abortion, and discuss having one, I ask that you please do not call them murderes. There are debate sites for abortion if you wish to debate the issue.
Bloody fantastic..
I agree with you that we each have our own choices and opinions, but unfortunately there will always be people who wish to push their disagreement onto you.
I myself have had an abortion, more than one, so I understand abortion and how it works. I also understand how women feel who choose abortion, and what they may be thinking.

Even though I had 2 of my own, and I was a young, divorced mother trying to make it, I thought I was in charge of my own body, got pregnant, and chose abortion. It's been 13 years, and I still regret it to this very day. I got therapy and am doing much better, but what I did was wrong. I wished I would have gotten therapy before. I don't recommend abortion to anyone. There are other answers.
it really depends on your circumstances, really. i am going to have an abortion becuase it was an unplanned pregnancy and something we both wanted but werent ready for yet. we dont have enough money to feed and clothe the baby or top buy it all the stuff it will need. i have no support at all only my family telling me i should get rid of it.
so any1 reading this a bit of advice, if you dont want to get pregnant use contraception thats waht its there for an theres no excuse not to use it at all. i admit that ours was uplanned we were foolish never again.
PS LET THE DAD HAVE A SAY HE HAS A MUCH RIGHT AS THE MOTHER ITS HIS BABY TOO.

Have you noticed it's always about God? You don't see Buddha complaining. Oh, well.
There are mixed feelings about abortion.
Basically, just do what is right for you.
I know many people who are against abortion. I don't think I could have an abortion myself. But am I against people having the choice? No!
Who here remembers what it was like to be thirteen? How many pregnant thirteen year olds are there? There are children out there who are nine years old and are pregnant. They could never survive childbirth. Abortion is a major option for them.
What if you were raped at the age of thirteen? Do you not deserve a choice?
"But it is against God's will!" you cry. Yes, well, so is a woman's rights. The Bible is not the law. It is a person's opinion, nothing more, nothing less. The Bible was not faxed down to earth by God. A person wrote the Bible. It is an opinion which is agreed upon by millions of people. No one knows what's God's will, or if there even is a God. What you believe is right for you. Only you control yourself, and yourself ONLY. You do NOT control anyone else with your beliefs.
I'll repeat that. Your beliefs do not affect anyone else but yourself. If you believe abortion is wrong, the answer is not to have an abortion. If you believe abortion is right for you, then by all means, have an abortion.
Instead of arguing about abortion, we should be stopping those who force women into having one. How many have been forced into an abortion against their will? We should stop arguing about Freedom of Choice, and help those in need!
You say abortion is risky. YES it is. But so is EVERY SINGLE MEDICAL PROCEDURE. 2000 people a year die from the REGULAR DOSE OF ASPRIN. It is risky to take an asprin. It is risky to have a liver transplant. It is risky to cross the street, to ride on a bus, to stand in your shower. Everything has a risk. It all depends on what you believe is right for you.
Evil? We are all evil. Look what we have done to this world. JUST LOOK AROUND. We are all unnatural. One more thing isn't going to ruin the world.

Abortion is a sin....period. But thats ok, we aren't the ones who will do the judging. So, christians that are posting, just keep ministering all you want, and let the good Lord above do the judging.
A note to all the christian: We may be few. But the strength that God gives us, will prevail.

! Anyone that decides to end the life of another human being, born or not, is a MURDERER. Just because the baby is only a few weeks old doesn't change anything. If it doesn't happen naturally, such as in a normal miscarge, then it is murdering a human being.
I did have abortions 3 times. Now I live in a huge sense of guilt. I always pray that my unborn children can forgive me, and I'm began to become an anti-abortionist.
And as far as I know, most women who have abortions regret it somehow later in their life.

I have had 3 abortions and have NEVER regretted them. I also know many women that do not regret them.
I AM sorry you regret your abortions, but that doesn't mean other women SHOULD regret their abortion.
Each person is an individual, with different feelings and emotions, we cannot dictate each others feelings, we can only support each other.

I've had an abortion, and I think it was the best decision I ever made. I don't regret it. I became pregnant from my ex-boyfriend who had claimed he was sterile.
I was suicidal for the weeks following while I tried to figure out what to do. As soon as I woke up from the surgical abortion, I felt an enormous sense of relief.
Choice saves women's lives. It saved mine!

Hi there. I'm 29 years old, never had an abortion, unsure what I would do if put in that position. But that's not the point of this post.
I've read some of these posts and quite frankly, I'm pretty disgusted to see what people will write (both pro- and anti-abortion) when they have the anonymity of a screen name to hide behind. I'm pretty sure most of you wouldn't walk up to a cousin, a friend, or a sibling and call her a murderer for having an abortion...but a friend or relative might be the one you're bashing on the site.
I hate to sound preachy, but my 12 year old cousin frequently reads the posts on this site and I don't want her to think that it's okay for grown men and women to call each other murderers for having differing points of view. For each one of us who posts, there are probably 20 confused people out there just reading, trying to get some direction. Let's be cognizant of that, please.
Now that I got that off my chest, how do you feel (both pro- and anti-abortionists) about Plan B? That's the course of pills you take starting one to three days after you had risky intercourse in order to block fertilization.
Thanks, and let's play fair, okay? ;-)

Plan B stops a pregnancy from happening in the first place. When she takes it it stops the egg and sperm from ever implanting, and therefore there was never a conception and no murder,
it just prevents conception, like a condom, or birth control does.
So I see nothing immoral about Plan B.
