Hi,
I'm still numb after 10 months...and tight of course. Is anyone still tight and numb? I'm afraid I might have nerve damage...

I’m in GA and live in Alpharetta. Does the person that performs these on you know of a good and reputable person that o could see here for the lymphatic massages? I had a face lift and neck lift 8 weeks ago and still have swelling and lumps under my neck.

Me too - still numbness after 2 years - just living with it!!
Hello, Wow, please tell me where they injected the PRP, I need help badly. I am 2 years out form a neck lift and mini lift (incisions in front of eat and behind ears) I have had extreme tightness in neck and front /back of ears . It has been nothing less Tham miserable noose feeling around my neck. I have had over a dozen lymphatic massage treatments, diluted steroid treatments form my PS.
I have read your post and hoping you have news that you have improved? I am curious as I am 2 years post op and read that PRP injections may be helpful to break up scar tissue. Do you have improvements? thank you
I read here that PRP injections help break ups scar tissue? Are there any improvements for you? Im 2 years post op with constant tightness in neck and in front and behind ears.
I have exactly the same issues. I read here that a woman had PRP injections and it worked to break up scar tissue? Have you improved? I am using Neorontin creme and it has helped a bit, but not enough to live normally.
I am also looking into the PRP treatments for the same reasons. It sounds logical and wondering if you tried it yet. My appointment is on Tuesday Oct, 8 2019.
I am only 44 days post surgery, so I am still hopeful it will get better. But the tightness in my lower neck is causing the same issue with anxiety, gasping for air, nervous about eating because I might choke, using Xanax for extreme anxiety. I'm getting very depressed. I am going to have to request a leave of absence from my job. I just can't focus on work. I have fuzzy thinking, and my job requires me to be very sharp. I might not be able to go back if I don't recover soon. I wish I had my sagging neck, my sharp mind, and my life back. I don't care about how I look anymore. I'd go back to dumpy but able to function in a second if I could. The thought of going through this for years is terrifying!
I am 10 months post neck and facelift. I have much tightness in my neck which I describe to my PS as feeling like having a "blood pressure cuff around my neck". Sometime just touching my neck seems to make it worse. I get hoarse and have to clear my throat a lot, my ears pop and feel full. I get frustrated and scared. My PS doesn't seem to believe me and makes light of my symptoms. He has his money. I see very little improvement in my neck. I have an appt. with him tomorrow. He has also suggested more surgery..I saw an ENT DR. who advised no more surgery with out 2nd opinion. I too, feel like you.
I wonder if you ever had this resolved? I had my surgery 2 1/2 years ago and I'm still feeling like you describe above. I've tried all the things you tried, with no luck.
Numbness after midface, lower face and lower eyelid surgery is very common. I would particularly not be worried if you have this problem on both sides of your face. It is unlikely that the infraorbital nerve was seriously injured. You may find some benefit from massaging your face in an upward motion beginning near the chin and center of your neck and working upward towards your temples. Try using arnica gel with your massaging. The arnica has some anti inflammatory properties that may help you. You can also try tapping your face with your fingers particularly under the eyes and in the midface..
I am 12 weeks post op and still numb more so on my left side than right tightness has just about gone now
I had lipo in the neck/jawline area and have the exact problem 2 weeks post op. Did yours eventually resolve?
