It is a sin but think of it like this, you are tempted by it but God says in 1 corinthians 10:13 that you are not tempted by anything you can not bear and there is always a way out and it is not what anyone else has gone through we all have, but understand the world will say what most of the people in this discussion are saying that is natural. It is lust and God says do not conform to the ways of the earth so yes this is very tempting but there is a way out and I think that it differs on the type of person you are ,but there is one way that we all can avoid ask the non-bodily spirits to leave and stop tempting you and that they dont belong there they are not welcome cry out to the lord for discernment and it will help. it sounds tacky to pray for help ,but honestly i struggle with this and that seems to be the only thing that works and it doesnt matter what the earth says is right it what God says and he says its a sin. It will not be easy ,but it is possible so dont give up when it gets tough but pray... Your brother in Christ and i will pray for you.

Bambi-Thats wrong you can only believe in one god read the true bible kjv it is the best down to earth bible around and if you read revelation that's exactly what's going on in the real world I am am now a Pentecostal trinity Christian but I don't go over board and I am only 13 and a lot of people tell me well your too young to understand the real world. When I was 8 I was addicted to porn until 11 when 12 I smoked drank and stole and was apart of the real world I also had a lesbian relationship and was able to hide all from my parents and even though I am homeschooled apparently I am not SOCIALLY challenged and also almost lost my virginity except my sister caught me

My personal opinion is that masturbating is a form of lust. Lust is a form of sin and porn is a form of lust and porn created a desire to masturbate but that's my own opinion I have no right to tell people how to live their life but god created a conscience for a reason and if your conscience is bothering you about masturbating then most likely you are committing a sin in gods eyes

Do not be fooled young man. All things that come naturally are not necessarily good. The urge to want to masturabte comes from fantasies which according to Jesus can be classified as adultery. Matthew 5:28 If any man looks ata woman with a lustful eye, h has committed adultery with her in his heart. Now in these times of technology, all the images of porn are equivalent. if you disagree, why would you not want your parents to catch you, either watching porn or masturbating. 

I have the same problem. I feel guilty afterwards too and I do believe its sinful. I believe that the feeling of guilt is God telling us what we are doing is wrong. I'd suggest talking to someone. Get help. It may be embarrassing but its worth it to get right with God.

I like your argument, but I just wanted to make sure you knew that sin isn't only evil spirits, its also in our flesh and we are called to fight it. Thanks for putting in a Christian view and I just wanted to clarify that small detail.

God doesn't give us these urges. At least I don't believe so. And if he does, than they are tests. But I believe the urges come from our natural want and desire for sin which we are meant to resist.

Christianity is its own religion. You can't be part Christian and part anything else. Genuine Christianity is does not allow any other view of idols/creation/or sin. I'm sorry but from what you said of your beliefs, you are not a genuine Christian and can not use what little biblical scripture supports your opinion. Masturbation is a desire triggered by the natural sin of our flesh and is adultery against the holy spirit.

Bambi. You keep saying it says nothing in the bible of self touching. The bible is more than a book with words. It shouldn't have to flat out say"masturbation is wrong" and stop trying to use the bible to support you when you are not a genuine Christianity. The bible has so much hidden truth that a life time of studying it can only unvail a fraction of it. Humans are naturally sinful and saying masturbation is natural can only further support that it is a sin. And for the record. Lgy never said she was without sin or anything close to such a statement.
