I have been able to find the cause and solution of such pain. I had come across same situation wherein I would smoke marijuana and will have horrible lower back pain next morning. In my situation the pain was isolated to one particular area, and there would be just no pain if I did not smoke. Sometimes the pain would last for 1 day and maximum for 2 days. What I found out is the marijuana triggers a warning that there is something wrong with that place. It has nothing to do with posture or less oxygen. I has USG done in order to find out but it came negative and indicated everything was good. I was determined to find the cause so I had an CT Scan done and there was actually an 8mm oxalate stone stuck in distal right ureter. Whats wierd is that only marijuana was able to give me the warning message. I had a cystoscopy done and stone was removed through laser lithotrypsy. Iam absolutely fine now and smoke marijuna without fear of pain afterwards. I would suggest drinking Alkasol if you have similar pain. It has no side effects and if there is any stone it will be dissolved on its own. I wish all of you weed lovers good luck

Been smoking for 33 yrs every day....what your experiencing isn't the weed, it's what's "added" to it whether knowingly or not. Strictnine, femadehyde, fertilizers, hardeners, preservatives, etc. try switching your dealer, or supply Over time you will be able to taste and smell the different chemicals and know to avoid the ones that affect you... Come with time and experience OLD STONER WISDOM....

Strictnine ( ingredient in rat poison) = low back pain. Fermaldehide = muscle sore or tired all over. A lot of fertilizers if they aren't flushed out of the plant before harvest Can cause headaches and other issues

I tried it with indica.
It's still kinda uncomfortable but WAYYYY better than sativa.

I'm a recreational user and I too have been having back pain near the upper left quadrant area where my stomach and left kidney is located. I've seen my primary care provider doctor over a 3 month period and I've done everything I could to figure out what was wrong with me. I had a CT scan of my lungs thinking it was lung cancer, kidney ultrasound checkups, and stomach scans. Thankfully, everything came out normal. Now, my doctor looks at me like I'm crazy which I'm not because everyone here seems to have back pain near the left side. So i've quit vaping weed for about a week now and feel alot better. I graduated with Biology degree and so I'm very educated regarding human anatomy and physiology. My educated answer to the back pain is that vaping/smoking marijuana takes a huge toll on our adrenal glands, which are located on top of our kidneys. These glands play an important function in our adrenaline (fight or flight response). I believe that smoking marijuana over a period of time damages these adrenal glands, since it makes them work harder and harder. As a result, constantly activating these glands is what causes our back pain. In addition, the dangerous pesticides, mold, and toxic synthetic nutrients that are added to marijuana is what's damaging our kidneys and adrenal glands more and more. Cause of this pain, I've been feeling so depressed thinking I had cancer, etc. BUT NO MORE!!! I've quit vaping weed about a week now and feel alot better. No more pain and I'm finally happy. I loved Marijuana because I always considered it as a natural plant that has been given my mother nature. However, the danger comes from the toxic artificial chemicals human's use to grow these plants, therefore, making it dangerous for us humans to consume. So without knowing whether the marijuana has been grown organically without any dangerous chemicals, I will stop consuming marijuana, period. I hope all of you read this and has helped you in some way. I've been smoking/vaping weed strong for about 5 years and I've finally found what was causing my back pain. Thus, I've quit cold turkey for 1 week now and feel no pain anymore. I'm finally living the life I deserve. Happy and pain free!

How does smoking affect these glands at all and do they really get damaged?

Smoking in general, damages all of the organs in your body (since smoking anything is immediately absorbed through our bloodstream). So if you are smoking weed that contains mold, pesticides, and who knows what dangerous artificial chemicals are used to grow it (which is not safe for human consumption), we may experience different side effects that we cannot explain, such as the back pain, etc. In my 5 year experience with marijuana, consuming it causes our heart rate to increase, therefore increasing our adrenaline rush. The adrenal (adrenaline) gland, therefore is activated and over a period of time, overactivating these glands will exhaust them and thus, get damaged. Some people get anxious when consuming marijuana, get increasing heart rate, hard time breathing, skipping heart beats, and so forth. Every person is different but without knowing what is in your marijuana, i rather not risk it. Let me ask you. Is the high worth the back pain? In other words, is the high worth the dangerous damaging side effects consuming "dirty" weed has on your body? Ultimately, you only have one life and in the end, i rather not risk it.

I have smoked pot periodically for 15 years. once or twice per week. I never used to get back pain or any other type of pain from smoking. About a year ago I started showing symptoms, including raynaud's, and positive blood tests for lupus or mctd. I started getting mild lower back pain sometimes (while not high). I noticed that sometimes when I smoked it would worsen my back pain and make it difficult for me to sleep. I would also get very cold and would wear a hat, gloves and an electric blanket indoors. But with other strains my back and body temp were fine. I haven't been able to investigate what the actual strains were or why I react differently. I was wondering if it had to do with causing increased inflammation (although I thought weed is said to decrease it.....), and decreased circulation. Well for me anyways. But I really don't know and can't find information on why this would happen.

I'm a research lab technician and get the back pain myself. What I would love to do is get a sample pack of different strains, sativa vs indigo dominant, and with varying concentrations of the CBDs and THC. If I could narrow down which strains seem to cause the problem, then looking at the characteristics of those strains may shed some light on what is going on in my body. Except that the weed that I get is usually of an unknown strain and I don't have a medical Marijuana prescription to order specific strains. So I'm still working on it.

For me a high THC strain makes me feel the most pain. Pure Kief makes me pain all over while hash or oil doesn't do this, so idk. I've been very busy in the house lately and because of moving around and working while smoking, I find the pain is non-existent or very mild. Sitting down for long periods and smoking is MUCH worse than being busy.

I am so happy I found this comment. For like a year everytime i smoke I would google this issue. It almost doesn't make sense my muscles get so tense and ache so bad when I smoke. I mean, I definitely need to stretch in general and I always crack my back and neck but when I smoke it gets almost unbearable and it wasn't always like this. I can't even smoke anymore because of it.
