I just got my first Gardasil vaccination yesterday and just now I discovered I am spotting. I am not due to get my period in another week and a half and I never ever am irregular or spot. I just read all of these posts and while I am relieved to see I am not alone, I am scared to get the rest of the shots.

I was told to get it last year and I decided not to because I felt it was too new to be trusted. However, being 24 years old I only have a year and a half to get it since you can no longer receive it after turning 26. I decided to go through with it since I felt there was always that chance that one day I would regret it down the road.

Now I am super nervous and hope that I did not just ruin my chances of having kids in the future. If we all become infertile from this we will be in for a nice little settlement though...although there seem to be so many of us that it won't even cover the fee for our flight to another country to attempt adoption. :-)

Hopefully we can all look back on this one day and laugh...

I have also had the Gardasil shot and am now 2 weeks late. I have taken 2 preg test with negative results but am still worried about why is my period late. Im so glad i found this site to see that i am not the only one with extremely late periods and that perhaps Gardasil is the problem to blame.

The same thing happened to me

So has anyone found a correlation between Gardasil and missing a period? I know that the vaccine might cause it after the initial shot but what about subsequent ones?

before gardasil, i used to have my periods every 5-6 weeks...

i had my last menstruation june 19 2009, and got my 3rd gardasil shot 1st week of august. until now i don't have my period - it's been 13 weeks already (more than 3 months)!!! and no, i don't think i'm pregnant... i took 3 pregnancy tests already and all of them came out negative! until now, i don't have my period :-( it makes me paranoid and i keep wanting to buy tests just to re-check!

for those who experienced the same thing, how many months did it take before you got your period back? did your cycle go back to normal

Ive been on depo provera injections causing medical amenorrhea for 6 years, my last shot was dec last year (2008) I still have had no sign of my periods and have heard it can take around 6 to 10 months to return problem is I have had my second gardasil injection in august in which when i was due for it just like the depo i had slight cramping i always new when my depo shot was due. I saw my doctor abut fertility back in end of june pregnancy test negative and all hormone and thyroid levels normal except now i have one major pregnant looking belly where people are asking me if im pregnant, ive got all signs of pregnany looking to be 10-12 weeks pregnant, I have done sooo mant home pregnanacy tests all come back negative but im having an ultrasound next week to find out, im thinking maybe the injection has caused me to start ovulating or even over ovulate (twins omg) or has it actually caused something else? Has anyone else had this?

Im in the UK and had my HPV vaccine at school over 2 weeks ago, it was Cervarix instead of Gardisil and im almost a week late, usually im a day or two early.

A few days before i was meant to start i had cramps, headache, nausea and all of the usual stuff but no period, im pretty positive i cant be pregnant and im really scared because my sister has poly cystic ovarian syndrome and was starting to think maybe that could be why.

Im hoping ill start soon and it was just delayed a bit because of the vaccine, i seriously think they are linked, im NEVER late :-(. It helps soo unbelievably much reading this and knowing that other people have had the same side effects aswell x

I had my Period Nov 10th for 7 days like i always do. I had the Gardisil shot on the 23 of Nov. Doctor recommended i get it. After getting the shot with in 30 minutes my arm was very tingly almost numb. Which i normaly have some type of reaction at injection and in the arm where any shot was given so i didn't think to much of it. I then had pain in my arm for weeks like lifting it above my head or holding heavy things, it was very tender around the injection. (i still have some pain in it). I started to get a sore throat a few days after, but it was mostly at night and in mornings. I had a runny nose as well. I thought maybe it was from the shot because i remember reading something about it. about 2 weeks after the shot i started to wake up every morning with really bad headaches i never even thought they were from the shot, until reading headaches are a side effect. and now it is Dec 16th and no period i should of started on the 10th, i am always on time and have a full 7 day period. I am sexually active and while at the doctor back on nov 23 i was given birth control to be started when i start my next period well next period hasn't came and i have really started to worry. I had thought maybe it was from the shot but i really started to think maybe i was pregnant. i had a long talk with my boyfriend tonight and he told me to look up online about the side effects, and this forum has been such a huge help to thinking im not pregnant and that i haven't started because of the shot. I haven't taken a pregnancy test yet but my boyfriend and i really feel we should so in the morning when he gets off work, hes going by the store (I am Blessed with an amazing man and i am so grateful for him and so glad i have him right now to calm me) and then we are going to take a text to be sure. then i am starting birth control and hopefully never have to have this fear again. I really wish my doctor would have warned me, especially when she is having me start birth control at the start of my next period. i mean how am i suppose to start BC if i don't get a period because of the shot she told me i really should get.
I wish the best of luck to all of you and i hope this post is as helpful to you as all of these were to me. and i hope doctors can start seeing this side effect and warn their patients.

I had the first 2 shots and my period was normal. After my 3rd shot, I had sex about a week later, and now it's two weeks later & my period is late. My period is always on time to the time of day usually. I do HOWEVER feel a little crampy and nauseous. This scared me into thinking- morning sickness. I took a preg test, it was negative. I hear many people on this forum are missing thier periods, but are you getting the symptoms of your period w/o the period (cramping, swollenbreasts, nausea?)

to everyone that is saying they are going to get their 2nd or 3rd shot and hope it gets better do NOT get the shot it will make it way worse!! If you already are experiencing losing your period it will just make it more of a chance that you will lose it forever, i got my first shot march 12 and am supposed to get my period the 15 and I never got it! & no I am not pregnant. There are way worse side effects than infertility from this vaccine it is not safe at all, look into it more watch you tube videos of the people who's live could be effected. Mine already is and so are all of you who are having missed periods. I read one person that stated it didnt bother them because they didnt like their period. In the long run you probably wont be able to concieve. I also read that miscarriages can happen from gardasil! Be careful girls, I wish there was a way to get this vaccine out of my body! Is anyone elses hair falling out?
