Getting cyst on scalp removed -- questions?

Hello, I had one removed 8 years ago from the top of my head, injections did hurt a little to freeze the area and I had stitches in for two weeks, the hair grew back around the area quickly! I’m having another removed this week but privately this time, stitches in for a week but I’ve done it once, I won’t be able to wash my hair but am working from home thankfully and plan to get a couple of pretty head wraps to put on!

So I had a cyst removed yesterday right in the middle of my scalp. After reading every response on here I was a little concerned but knew it had to be done. It was likely less than 2cm in size. I have many more on my scalp but all are small and don't bug me. The procedure was incredibly easy and relatively painless. Only thing that hurt was the small pinch of the shot. It was numb after a few minutes and he went to work. Felt a small amount of pressure but no pain. The entire process including cleaning and stitching only took about 10 minutes. I took ibuprofen yesterday right after because it was a little sore. Today I haven't taken anything as it is still a bit sore, but manageable. Good luck everyone!

I had cyst removed 5 days ago from back of scalp and have not really slept since them because of extreme tenderness in that area. Whichever way I turn I feel pain and tylenol is not helping.

I still have the soreness after a month and a half but no numbness. Is this normal.

I had a large cyst removed off the back of my Head on May 2019. According to the doctor it was quite big and required a lot of stitches. Here it is 9 months later and I still have pain and got an infection last week. The Doctor till this day cant understand why it hasn't healed. I went to see him last week for an infection he removed the scab and asked my husband to put triple antibiotic on it twice day. And see him two weeks if it didn't heal he would have to cut it open again. The scar is healing but I still have a lot of pain around the area I am just crossing my fingers I don't have to go thru this again its in the most painful spot anyone can imagine.

I removed three small cysts from my scalp a few weeks back. The procedure costs 350$ and doctor told me that meds will be additional 100-150$, which is ok. For the first two weeks I haven't washed my hair with my usual shampoo but with spray for dry washing (or dry shampoo as it is called). Maybe I could use regular shampoo, but didn't want to risk anything. Yes, it was itchy sometimes, but everything went fine. I wore bandages for two days before having them removed and didn't have to reapply them.

I have a cyst about 1.2cm in size on the hairlne of my scalp on the front, and I've thought about getting it removed but was mainly curious about hair growth. It's clear that less hair grows on the cyst than the rest of my head (though some still does), but was wondering if getting it removed would cause the hair to grow back again? Or would the scarring make it even worse?

My 2 year old daughter has a cyst on the right back part of her head. I am thinking of having it removed and need a little confidence on the procedure. Any advice?
