I had a total hysterectomy 30 years ago. I took estrogen for years and then wore the patches for a few years. Then was put on compound hormones which worked better than anything. But, at 63 years old I still am in menopause I think. I have hot flashes, vertigo, anxiety, and I’m also hypothyroid. I take levothyroxine and generic citomel for thyroid. My levels are not optimal. I’ve begun to have some memory loss and I’m very depressed. Idk what to do anymore.
I have the same exact problems. I don’t think the Effexor helps at all. It had stopped and now just started up again horribly
You bring up a very valid point
I started a low dose of colodine it helps so much with the night sweats.
Agree 100% paying out of pocket & it’s expensive .. but I’ll pay it for my sanity .. & what about all the hormones paid for by the govt & insurance covfor those who are transitioning ???
I definitely Agree 1000%
I am looking around for this topic bc I am having the same issue 20 years after full hysterectomy- and ovaries are out too. I thought it was supposed to have happened then only (and I didn’t notice then bc of patch)
I am having the exact same issues as you. I'm 12 years post hysterectomy and 66 years old. Very frustrating.
Same here I had mine when I was 31 n I'm 43 now
