I had the same problem. I was 12 and 188. Now I'm 13 and 175. Wanna know what I did? In just four months of this i dropped 30 pounds of fat. No starvation diet, no calorie counts, no boring tasteless food. All I did was simple things. i took gym as an elective (yes, they make fun of you at first, but pretty soon I was one of them. Doesn't matter what you weigh, they'll except you sooner or later.) I stopped eating proccessed foods-no twinkies dounuts so-called "weight loss bars"-best way to lose weight ever is eating natural foods. That doesn't mean you give up taste but remember, SUGAR IS YOUR GREATEST ENEMY!!!!!!!!!!!! And that whole, "no carbohydrates or fat alowd diets" are big pieces of @#$%&*. Turns out you need these to burn fat. That's right you NEED fat to BURN fat. Am I crazy? Probably, but i'm telling you the truth about this. i know it's not a "lose thirty pounds in thirty days" diets, but this will help you out in the long run way better than any special K challenge. Just google which fats are healthy, which to avoid, and you'll see a difference. By the way, cinnamon trocks your body into burning even more calories, so try to work in more cinnamon in your diet. BTW, the only reason there's not a big difference in my weight is becuase I gaiined aLOT of muscle mass. I have the same problem.I'm almost 12 and i have to lose weight by june for track & field. I think you should do exercises that are healthy for a 12 year old like yoga, jogging, biking, ect. I usually take some time out on the weekend to do some exercise. I suggest doing about at least 20 minutes of exercise. Also, do some fun and healthy activities with your friends, like insted of going to the movies, go for a bike ride. I ussualy play soccer every day with my friends at school. And don't diet! It is very unhealthy. Just eat healthier foods. It is okay to eat some junk food while trying to lose weight but only in moderation! and drink lots of water. Hope this helps! ;-)
