So everyone, I have some useful answers for you(: I am years old and I wiegh 148. I know high number, to me its embarrassing and Im ashamed of myself for letting my body go but Im not going to just sit around feeling bad about myself. If you gained the wieght then, yes you can lose it! Make a promise to yourself that you want to reconize yourself as beautiful :D Because you are! I know usually you lose that 6 pounds and you see a difference in your body and eventually you let yourself go(slacking). Its not good, trust me. I have the top ten steps I HAVE used to lose 10 pounds :p are you ready to learn them? (and use them).
1. Do alot of situps this works the upper body fat.
2. Do alot of side to side sit ups, swing your body side to side in the sit up position and reach with your hands to your ankles this works your love handles.
3. Drink glasses of water with every meal so when you eat you will get full faster.
4. Stay low on the carbs you eat everyday this is very important it helps you lose wieght faster.
5. Do leg lifts while laying on your side have your bottom leg curved and the top leg, have it lifting up for the best result do 40 of these oneach leg.
6. Dont it a big lunch, now a little snack with low calories will not do any damage to your wieght.
7. When you go to eat dinner make sure the main meal is only the sizes of your hand.
8. Make sure to get lots of walking during your day.
9. You need to burn off at least 800 calories a day or less you can progress as you get further into the diet.
10. The most important thing, please for yourself stay motivated! :D

i found what helps is to not eat while on the computer or while watching tv because it doesnt fill you up because you dont realize it. Also just walking around the house helps instead of just sitting sometimes when watching t.v. i lift weights(nothing big) that helps because the more muscle you get the faster you lose weight because it boosts your metabilism. For one month i didn't do any major exercising all i did was cut out unhealthly snacks fast food/fried food and deserts and i lost 10lbs.

hey all i wanna say is that dont give up im also 13 and i also want to wow my friends when i walk in those doors in high school i also wanted to lose weight before 8th gread but i totally sabtothed my self i would exercise then i will eat (A LOT) then i will say 2 myself i will work it off then i gained more weight like 20 pounds but, now im trying agian i will run in the morning like @ 7 then i will exercise on a vidio with my sis (it muc easyer 2 lose weight if you do it with some one else) then i count my callories all day long 4 every meal then i stay active the whole day its not easy and its a commintment you have 2 make but as soon as you see those pounds melt away and it will all be worth it when you have heads turning on the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL :D :D :D

Be Happy With Yourself Guys! Dont Listen To What People say! But if you really wanto lose weight, drink water, do 30 minutes of arobics, 60 minutes of running, and 30 minutes of any other form of excercise a day, keep a balanced diet and stay off the pills! Theyre not good dudees <3 !

::::::hey well im 12 2 nd im not exactly on da skinny side. im barly 5ft nd weigh around 116....now. i used 2 weigh around 130. all i did (its simple but hard sometimes /: ) is play my fav sport(softball) outside with whoever wanted 2 play. nd i cut off ALL JUNK FOOD AND SOFT DRINKS i still drank juices but only ones that had a lot of water :D nd the other things i did were instead of playing on the computer,watching tv, or talking/texting on ur cell phone do something else more active! or if ur watching tv every time theres a commercial do excersize (i like 2 do situps compared 2 pushups). yup and eat smaller portions than you ususlly do! PLZ DONY STARVE YOURSELF!!!!!!! that is possibly the worst thing you can do trust me ive tried it did u know that not eating really stores MORE fat in your body!!!!! well i hoped that this helped!!!!~~~~~~~~~~~

Hi im also 14 years old! Aint that so kewl? I sit on the computer all day searching how to lose weight. I should have noticed by now im gaining weight sitting on my pc all day. I eat fast food all the time, and eat all day long. When I run I fall over. I cant keep my balance, so after walking 5 feet I go home exausted and hop on my computer feeling so happy I accomplished something. I hope this helped, I cant talk no more its time for a hamburger!

I'm 14 too, and i've been struggling with weight problems since I was 12. The things that I find useful are drinking LOTS of water, steadying your food intake, and finding an active sport or other activity that you really enjoy (for me, it was swimming). Another thing, make sure you don't eat a lot of sugar. Check the labels on food, and look mainly at serving size and amount of sugar. One last piece of advice; don't over exercise, or you'll just end up waring yourself out, and not even losing any weight. I hope I helped, and good luck! ;-)

I totally get wat u guys r saying and bout the cheerleader who only weighs 98 lbs and is 14, please!!!! o.O I can't believe u need 2 lose weight. I'm 13 and i weigh more than u.... 145 pounds!!! I'm trying to lose weight cuz I need 2 but the tricks about dieting is tht it DOESN'T work and if they do it's not healthy. Well about u people tht are struggling u need to stop looking at runnig as though it doesn't work cuz it does. I exercised insnely for a week and I only dropped like 2 pounds and I asked my mom y I didn't lose more. Its because I overate ALL the time, cuz i have 0 willpower. So by combining these tips u will drop pounds, i actually am. if u hate running try Dance Dance Revolution or karate kicking ur way around ur house (actually really fun ;-) ) Also if ur mad or upset, use tht anger or sadness for exercise and dont be an "emotional eater" even though thts difficult since we typically dont think in those conditions. Anyways if anyone makes fun of u just say something like "Hey, if i were u, i wouldn't be pickin on someone who could sit on u" and try 2 joke w/ yourself and them, believe it or not u are a less likely target 4 bullying by them, or pick on an ugly feature of theirs and they will BACk OFF. I'll try tht ice cube trick whoever said it thanx but swimming also works basically every muscle in the body so try tht. If these tips don't work srry!! seeing a doctor is a good idea and once the awkward part is over, u can get some good advice. any1 with other ideas help me 2!! Any ideas for getting better willpower... cuz I got nothin %-) GOOD LUCK ON GETTIN 2 UR GOALS

If you want to lose weight, not eating or skipping meals is a bad idea. I used to do that and yeah I did lose weight but once I started eating again, I weighed even more than I used to. To actually have weight loss in the long run, you must eat three meals a day, proteins are a good idea and white meat (chicken, fish and pork). Cut out junk food and fizzy drinks slowly if you have a lot now. Cutting everything out at one time will only make you crave it even more. Buying and eating pre-packed and frozen diet foos is bad, cos a lot of the nutrients aren't there. It's best to eat a lot of fresh vegetables and fruit, which will not only help you lose weight but will make you feel great in the long run too. If you have to snack, eat an apple or something.
As for exercise, cardio is always good for weight loss. Mainly exercises which can increase your heart rate dramatically, which will keep your metabolism up, hence resulting in weight loss. So exericises like swimming, running, jogging, dancing and even powerwalking are good for weight loss. Aim to do about 30-60 mins a day to start off with depending on your fitness levels and gradually increase it as your body will become use to the routine of your exercises.
I did this and I lost about 10 pounds in 3 weeks. Ever since I haven't gained those pounds back.

So, I know I'm going to sound like a broken record, but, I'm 14 years old and I'm somehwere around 5'4" tall. I weigh 145 pounds, and I just can't seem to get rid of the extra weight. Last year I did lose weight, but I barely ate anything, so when I started eating again, I gained back all the wieght. I'm going to a new school next year and I just really want to lose at least 20 pounds...by the end of summer if possible. Any help?
