Hi girls! im 14 too, and i have always been self concious about my weight. i was so self concious, that i started trying to make myself throw up, which is not something i could ever tell my mom. i hate running and jogging. So, i just bought an excercise video from the mall, and i have been working out with it in my room for 30-60 minutes a day. i also try to eat healthy, without depriving myself of food. i eat more fruits and vegatables than wheat, and i have found that it all comes together to help me feel happy about myself. i have also found that working out with friends helps a lot, because it motivates you to excercise on a daily basis. One can loose his/her weight but he/she need to change the eating habits.
Don't eat the food having more calories.
Do exercise regularly.
And yes don't take any kind of pills to reduce your weight as you all are very young.

i know how u feel i weigh 178 pounds and i am 13. I really love to eat but it is hard because i love to eat junk food. One way i try to lose weight is i jump rope. it burns calories and helps u build muscles in ur legs. u can also try a treadmill. it is different than just running. in gym class i have to run and i get out of breath so i use a treadmill to help me run. my school had a twenty minute challenge where u run for twenty minutes straight. i thawt i couldnt do it but everytime i felt tired i would think about the summer and how i have to be embarrased about myself and i would keep running. tell urself u can do it and push urself. i hope this helped. keep trying and be healthy XD :-D :-) :O ;-) 8-|

Hey guys im also 14 and losing weight and looks like you guys need help. I started out at 232 and now im at 218. Its only been 4 weeks. diet and run everyday which is essential for weight loss, no pill help you "shed" fat in 2 weeks. You have to eat well and CARDIO. Run, jog , swim, play sports, dance anything! But make sure you are doing a whole lot of cardio. Without it you won' lose weight sorry :-( Drink lots of water(im talkin about 10 glasses a day) because once you start that after a while it starts to flush out any excess wastes in your body including fat. Im not saying you will remove 10 pounds but 2 or 3 weekly is more common. If you find it hard to stick with running and temptation is around every corner trust me, try doing it for someone like a family member or somebody you like. If you want to look like a professional athlete or actor is always good. Drink water, eat well, CARDIO, and sleep well and over time you will notice changes. You wont lose 6 pounds in a week. I push myself as hard as i can when i run which sheds fat. Try running miles or short sprints for speed. Theres so much more i can say but i will leave it at that. Im in the same boat but i have found out that that by driking 8 cups of water a day and cutting back my carbs and calories this actually works.

I am 14 turning 15 in 3 months....i am 5 feet tall, and i only weigh 96 pounds, but my stomach is not skinny at all. i hate wearing tight shirts because it shows the little bump at the bottom of my stomach :-( i play voleyball and ride horses....so its not like im not physicaly fit. problem is, i overeat. i eat when im not even hungrey....its terrible. i know i sound too young or whatever for a diet, but i dont want to starve myself, just lose my little stomach roll. i want to have abs by the summer, and i'm doing 100 situps a night. i walk home form teh bus every day- ony about a half mile, but thats the only running/walking i do during the week. i have volleyball once a week and riding twice, then on weekends i do both every day. i just need suggestions...how can i cut myself off form the food? everyone thinks im tiny but having that little belly REALLY annoys me. :$ tips, please ? ! ? ! ? !

I'm 14 also and have always struggled with my weight (at least since 3rd grade or so) I just kept gaining weight. I recently realized that I don't have to be fat for high school next year. I have a lot to lose (80 or so pounds to be in the healthy weight zone) but I know I can do it, and so can you. Here are some of the expert tips I have been using (I have already lost 1 pant size, 4 inches, and 13 lbs!)
1) Don't push yourself too hard, It will just make you so sore you can't move and make you quit (it IS good to be slightly sore though, it means its working :])
2) YOU HAVE TO CHANGE YOUR DIET! No weight loss works and STAYS unless you change your diet to include plenty fruits and veggies, plenty nutrients and the tiniest bit of fat :-)
3) make an inspiration board! this is what I am doing- get a piece of paper or posterboard and collage your favorite quotes, pictures and other things that remind you WHY you're doing this.
4) workout!! cardio and strength training are sooo important to getting healthy. Cardio, so you can get your heart rate UP and strength training, so 1) you don't get flabby :/ and 2) to boost metabolism and things.
I really hope this helped you and please don't give up. If you can't convince your mom to buy healthy things, buy them yourself! or eat around the bad stuff.

cut down on your consumption of simple carbohydrates / sugars like white rice, pasta, donuts, pizza, and sodas.

sleep about 8 hours a day. those who sleep less than 7 hours have great risk of gaining weight.
take sufficient omega-3 for intestinal health and cellular health.

Im 15, i have been trying to lose weight, at first friends would telll me not to eat anything at all, and so i didnt eat, but instead that puts your body into starvation mode, gross right/? but that makes your body save the fat, drinking lots of water helps! because idk 60% of yur body is water., doin sit ups actually doesnt make your stomach smaller it makes muscle and that makes yur belly bigger, i have tried it, but then its a good thing because muscle burns fat, some things yu need to knw that are bad, exp: canola oil, margarine, and that i cant believe its not butter, that is terrible for your body, its all fat,orange juice is bad too, those healthy cereals sometime dont help, wholewheat cereals sometimes are worse for yu than better, the things you need to eat are : real butter, eggs, bacon, coconut oil, avacadoes, nuts, sweetpotatoes,fish, steak, trailmix, plus eating food you enjoy makes your body happy!

Hey, im 15 years old and i'v struggled with weight issues since i was entered the third grade due to lack of homemiad healthy dinners by my mother because of family issues and such. i am now a freshmen in highschool going into my sophmore year. Like everyone else here i dispised myself, i felt uncomfortable in my own skin, and my insecurities were over powering my outlook of life until i got to a point were i was in danger of dieing, yes dieing. so the very next day i was sent a nutrionist. Although i didn't stick to my nutrionist diet plan because i was so fed up with my weight and she wanted to take it slower then i attended to do she did help me kick of my new fit life-style. Along my way in finding a new me, and healthier me i lost myself. i lost over 80 pounds in just a few months due to bullimia, anorexia, and starvation.. i would eat twice - three times a week.. but not all day just one little bowl of cereal at night. I also worked out alot and befor i knew it i was very skinny, my friends, family, and loved ones were very frighten by my new look and worried about my health. but in the eyes of the beholer, i was discustingly fat. and i kept loosing that weight until i got very sick.. it's been about 2 and a half years now and summer 09 is the last time i was was underweight. i was sent to the doctors by my parents and requested to gain weight.. i have a food addiction and went out of contorl. due to starving myself everytime i eat i gain weight rapidly. im unahppy, and struggling to be how i was just 5 months ago. Im here on this website also looking to loose weight in a less dangerous way but im really here to help teenagers like you who need this help. dont go were i went. eat a balanced variety of fruits and veggies, and exersice, and drinks loads of water. dont do what i did, play hard and enjoy yourself and your success in loosing weight BUT never let fantasys of being one of those "six packed girl magnet men".
