well i did my tounge on wensday but it was cutting the roof of my mouth so i took it out saterday but there is still a circular area onmy tounge thats swollen is it infected or is it still healing?
I got my tongue pieced 4 weeks ago and about 4 days ago i realised i have lump right infront of my tongue and went to the peicer and said it might just be an infection I NEED SOME HELP I AM SO SCARED THAT I HAVE AN INFECTION ADN COULD BE FATAL :-( anyone who has had this problem before please help me and inform me about what to do and if it is dangerous PLEASE thanks peeps :-)

I just had mine done, and the swelling went down after a few days, its perfectally normal for it to produce a white/yellow puss, as thats your bodies natural defence kicking in, according to the girl who did mine (and i have had several percings from her so I trust her) different people take different healing times. Most people can go back to where they got it done after about 2 weeks and have the bar swapped for a shorter one, some have to wait a little longer.
Eating is very ahrd for the first few days, but gradually gets better each day, try to avoidethinks like hot drinks though because where the bar is has exposed the nerves in your tonngue and they will be very sensitive.
Apparently alot of people get swollen glands aswell, but if they don't go back down after a day or two get a gp to take a look, also jaw sifness can happen alot too, but again should only last a few days.
Taking pain killers every 4-6 hours plus an anti inflamatory will help alot to, plus rise upto 6 times a day with either warm salt water or none- alocohol based mouthwash will really help to

i got my tongue pierced 21/2 weeks ago most of the swelling has gone down but now under my tongue where the bottom ball sits is a hard circle around the barbell that is very sensitive--- is this a sign of infection????
I just got my tounge peirced around 5 days ago. And its swollen in the middle and its a Yellowish whitish color where its swollen. My peircist said the swelling would go down in 3 days. And as for the color has me concerned to. I just want to know what I should do. PlZZz TELL ME!!!
Hey, Ive had my tongue pierced twice now.. The first time I got it unproffesionally & My friend pierced it with the Tongue ring.. She just pushed it through.. It was ok at first but then my tongue got swolen well so swolen to the point that the bar was too short & it got stuck in my tongue.. I had to take it out. This is the second time Ive had it done & I got it by the same friend. This time she used a needle .. & I wasnt aware that she used the same needle to pierce my girlfriends tongue.. So my tongue is doing fine. Except, Im sick.. My throat is sore.. Im coughing & Spitting up yellow stuff. Around my tongue is kinda red. & It stretched the hole. My tongue is kinda pale. I strongly recommend that you get your piercings done PROFESSIONALLY !!
once you clean your tongue like your suppost to it is perfectly whats hapn!!! allthough strange things can hapn, but it all depends on if you went to a prophessional!!!!! as for the person who wants to now how long you wait till you can changed your tongue ring a lot of people say 2-4 weeks it all depends on how long it take to heel remember that the ring they pierce your tongue whith is sterilized and also helps to prevents if you change it when its not fully hells there is a 60/40% chance it may get infected think smart cause i now you dont want that none of us do!!!!!
my friend pierced my tongue web today and i was wondering if she did it wrong or if it was infected. My tongue is slightly swollen, and my mouth hurts. Ive tried to eat and its just too painful and I've been rinsing my mouth with mouthwash. Please respond!!
hey guys, i got my tongue done friday its now monday, over time i realized that i as getting a redish bumb right in front of the hole, also i dont know how to explain it but i have several sores on my tongue, i thought i could be from me cleaning it so much, the pircer who did my pircing gave me this cleaner called Pressions, i have been using it constantly after eating and drinking anything. Also When i go to bed at night it bleeds a little and leave a small puddle of blood around my pircing. Im really worried about it, and i need some advice, i have really been happy to have my pircing, i'd rather not take it out and get rid of it Help please
Dont worry i got mine done like 5 months ago and the swelling, the wierd colour like yellowish is perfectly normal
same goes for the sore throat. after i got mine that night my throat was killing me and same as for the next morning but that went away shortly and so did the yellow stuff eventually.

i had my tongue pierced a 8 days ago, my tongue is still swolen. and has something white infront of it, which seem to look like a little ball of puss or something. i have been cleaning my mouth correctly and sometimes even more. i really would like to find out what is wrong with my tongue? thank you!
theres nothing to worry about mine was ecatlyy the same, i couldnt eat for around 4 days, but now it is fine to eat with, all though i still have these silly little problems with it!
Definatly go see a Dr if it gets too painful. My piercer told me to not only rinse with non-alcoholic mouthwash but also peroxide (oral clenser) It bubbles on the affected area. It made my tongue clear up to normal color after I went to CVS and bought it. Great stuff.

I got mine done two days ago and it's completely normal now.The swelling has gone down and there was no puss at all.All you have to do is to put some ice and gargle with Listerine.( particulary the green one, the ANTIBACTERIAL).My bestfriend and I got it done together and hers is still a little painful. I think it all depends on how thick your tongue is.My tongue is very thin, the piercer said it was like piercing paper. But my bestfriend's is a lil thicker and hers bled way more than mine.But she's okay now.Just remember to clean it.Gargle with the green listerine about 4 to 5 times a day and you should be fine.=)
