Blood is a bad sign. You're going to need a perscription for antibiotics from your doctor.
Hii, the longer you leave it the better. I had mine done last week and got told to wait 4weeks. Because if you are to change it to quick the swelling will just keep going up and down, my brothers friend has it done a good while now but he had changed it the next day by himself, his swelling acted up.

everyone who posted saying they had yellowish whiteish stuff coming out of your tounge piercing: DONT WORRY! its just white blood cells or plasma that's trying to form a scab where the piercing is but since your mouth is so wet they cant dry and form a normal scab so it just kinda oozes out. it's perfectly normal (as you can see from all the posts about it) and its just part of the healing process. as for the people who said they had a red bump & bleeding, i'd get that checked out.
I had got my tounge pierced 3 weeks ago; i havent changed my bar yet and it is healing properly. when i tried to change my bar the other day it was to short so i keep the one that i have; the lady who peirced it told me to wait at least 1 month so thats what i am going to do; IF YOU THINK THAT YOUR TOUNGE PEIRCED IS INFECTED TAKE OUT YOUR TOUNGE AND LOOK AT THE BOTTOM OF YOUR TOUNGE CHECK AND SEE IF YOU SEE ANY PUSS; if not you are fine

I got my tongue pierced on Wednesday, it is now Sunday. I didn't feel much pain when i got it done, yes it hurt.. but it was bearable. It is still quite swollen, and it has formed a small bump in front of the piercing of the top ball. It doesn't hurt at all, it's just really off putting and i don't want to show anyone my piercing because of it. I dont think it's infected, but is it normal?
hay i got my tounge pierced like 2 days ago the bottom of my tounge really hurts and its all tgrayish white around my tounge, and everytime i eat it looks like my tounge hole is getting bigger and im worried, is all of this normal plzzz tell me thanks :)

Okay so i got my tongue pierced thursday, It's not sunday. Most of the swelling went down. It doesn't really hurt that much. But i have a small pinkish white lump right infron of the top of the barbell. It sorta looka like i ripped it. Or is it infected. I am really scared and have no idea what is wrong or what to do. Heeelp me please! :-(
i got my tongue pierced exactly a week ago and it isnt swollen anymore and it doesnt hurt. ive been washing it out with nonacloholic mouth wash and its helped out alot! the puss is totally normal just a sign of the healing process(: dont freak out just give it some time and it will be fine(: i wash mine with the mouth wash after everytime i eat and drink (other then water) mine healed and went back to normal size within about 4-5 days.

for all of u worried about your tongue turning funny colors. unless its turning green yellow ( under ) or like extreamly red your probably fine. one thing i realised is that the mouthwash i am using " CREST " is bad. even the alcohol free one. its so harsh its tearing up my gums irritating my tongue and imflaming my tastebuds. I thought it was infected every day until i sat down and realised it was burning NOT in the hole, but everywhere else.
Try NOT using mouthwash, i know it goes against what most say, but guess what it says twice a day for a reason. it will tear ur mouth apart evne if diluted. i recomend highly the non alcohol one if u must, and dilute that like 25/75 wash/water. Only eat when you have big meals, dont snack, so that you dont have to use it so often which is my problem.
Also the salt water wrince ( NO IODINE, only sea salt ) it feels good and it helps it heal. if the pus coming out is white or just slightly yellowish ur fine. its healing. the hard surface around ur tongue if u have it, its healing its like a scab, and lastly. dont for gods sake touch it. leave it, dont change it for AT LEAST 2 weeks. If you are allergic to what u have in, ull know cuz it wont heal.
Im allergic to mine but i still have to wait to change the bar. that or take it out for good. which if u do, make sure you see your piercer first so u dont get a big infection in your tongue.

the morning after i woke up and it was SWOLLEN to the full size of the bar.
it was really sore and stuff.
yesterday i had a red blister in front of the ball on the top, and today its turning yellow.
my tongue is itching like CRAZY! and there is white plasma coming out.
i rinse three times a day w/ sea salt mixed w/ water, and after every time i eat w/ a mouthwash cup filled halfway w/ listerine zero and halfway w/ water.
the swelling is almost all the way down now :d my tongue is just sore.
oozing and flaps of skin in the front of the top ball are NORMAL, it shows your tongue is healing!! :)

hello wel um i got my tongue done 2 week ends ago and i have taken it out and put it bak in twice , and now i have a hard lump in my tongue and i am scared that it is infected because i constantly play with it and now i have stretched my tongue abit does this mean it is infected i have no idea i need help because now it hurts like crazy like i have hit a nerve or something.
