As an American, I don't understand Americans hang up on nudity. So very oppressive. I am nude as often as possible as is my wife.

I love this lifestyle I wish I was brought up this way as well! Would it be wrong going nude in front of my step daughter who is 12 she has already seen me naked several times? I would think after awhile she would think nothing of it, I mean it's just a naked body nothing sexual

Hubby and I are thinking about a more relaxed lifestyle at home and try nudism....but we don't know if it will be easy or not.  So happy I have found this posts googling around.  Hope to have contacts. I agree with you. Unfortunately we all grew up into a fake moral and ethic environment. We all should get rid of that and try to be as natural as possible. Not easy tho. Silvia

You would really want to talk it through with her mom and then as a family, Then maybe all do it together in your own home and talk through how everyone is feeling. If the girls birth father is still in her life you will need to take that in to account as well.

Hi Silvia your kids are at a great age to learn about the body and before they get older, then as they go through their body changers in their teen year they will be far better for it. Yes a first it maybe not so easy, but start talking about as a family and let everyone speak freely on how they feel. I have found one of the best ways of introducing your kids to nudism is to go to a quite nude beach, you and your hubby undress and act like a normal day at the beach and let your kids choice. Thank you for your suggestion which I will for sure take in consideration. But I guess we should undress at home first before going out. I mean....they have to discover how we look at home first....don't know really. Hubby and I are talking about it and how would we manage the normal family affection behaviour. We know it won't be easy specially for us adult.

There is nothing perverted about the human body. Acts of perversion can take place with or without clothes. It has nothing to do with being naked.

I'm a grown man now, but grew up in a home with one older brother, my Mom and Dad. When my parents first married they were nudies at home and slept naked. Later when my brother and I came along my mother decided she would stop being naked in front of us when we were between 2 and 3 years old. Mom and Dad continued to be nudies with each other in the privacy of their bedroom and bath, but I have no memories of seeing Mom naked. In our home a closed door meant you knocked first and waited to be invited in before you entered, otherwise if you walked in and saw something, you saw something, no big deal. When we were very little, my brother and I always took a bath together. Later, when we're too old for that, we still saw each other naked all the time because we shared a bedroom and bath. We always dressed and undressed in front of each other, and one would shower while the other brushed his teeth, then we switch. Dad would come into our bedroom and bath no matter what state of undress we were in and no one ever had a second thought about it. We saw Dad in his boxers or naked in his bedroom or bath too. If Mom was there, she was always covered up. The three men of the house always walked around and lounged around the house out in our underwear. We had a pool, so in the Summer, my brother and I practically lived half naked in speedos 24/7. The only rule was if we had company, and we weren't actually swimming, we had to put on shorts and a t-shirt. If no women were around we always skinny dipped. Even if Mom was there we would often slip our speedos off once we were in the water, but put them back on before getting out. In gym class at school or at the health club we always saw each other, and everyone else naked in the men's showers and locker room. Unlike today, back then you were considered weird if you were shy to be seen naked in the locker room. Now we have young men who never take a shower after working out, then they trip all over themselves, nearly falling down while they change their clothes under a towel. What do they think we're going to see that we haven't seen before? Do they think they have something that we don't have? Mom and Dad never had hang ups about the naked body, although Mom clearly didn't want her sons to see her naked body. That was fine. I don't think I wanted to see her naked either. We were always exposed to nudity in art and movies. Mom and Dad never objected to us seeing nudity or sex scenes in movies because they felt sexuality was natural, normal and healthy. They though sexual hang ups were very unhealthy, but they never let us see pornography or the objectification of women. The movies that they always considered obscene and perverse, and we were never ever allowed to see were war, horror or any movie with gratuitous violence. Poor Mom. It's a shame her freedom to be a nudie at home was limited, but I guess it was her choice. Since we were three guys, I always felt a sense of entitlement for us to be free with our bodies. I never stopped to think that she must have felt left out. I'm married now. We don't have children, so we're always naked at home. If we had boys, I'm sure I'd raise them the way I was. I'm not sure I'd do the same thing with girls, but I think my wife might be fee with her body with daughters. We always swim and sunbath nude. I would never ever think of wearing a swimsuit. We even belong to several social nudist/naturist clubs and regularly go to the nude beach, nude camping and other naturist events. That was a long comment without getting to the point. I think the solution is if you are a nudie and have children, you should probably stop once the kids seem to be come aware, embarrassed or self conscience. I think kids will give you clear signals that they are not cool with nudity. Then you have to respect it until they are adults and can make these life choices for themselves. For me, I'll stay naked.

Another thing...I wish Americans would not be so hung up about nudity and stop sexual using it. The small population of perverts in the world with be perverts with, or without clothes. Nudity is pure, natural and liberating. When I splash around in the ocean and play in the sand at the nude beach, I feel as care free and innocent as a child. It's not at all sexually titilating, quite the opposite. It's the greatest and cheapest destresser there is.
