Had the nova sure procedure done in August of 2013 . Thankfully I have not had a period or any type of bleeding since the procedure, but I do experience major bloating and some cramping at least 1 week out of each month. The worst side effect for me has been a ridiculous increase in weight, I have gained almost 40 pounds since July. my mid section seems very bloated regularly. Not sure I would do it again . Can't seem to take the weight off either
I had the novasure procedure done in August 2010 and about 6months after the procedure I felt like a buldging feeling so on one my visits i told my obgyn about it well they did an exam and i found out that my bladder and urethra was torn never felt it before nor did it come up before the novasure in pain and i too thought i was having appendiscitous it is frustrating and embarrasing im afraid sometimes to have intercourse with my husband not only is it painful at times i don't know if my bladder will buldg out the obgyn said if i suddenly urinate on myself come back thats nice.
I had my procedure done 3 weeks ago. My doctor told me that I had a large cervix and he didn't think it would work. He was correct. I have a very heavy period and cramping.
The procedure itself was easy and I had almost no down time. But it was very expensive with my deductible and in the end it didn't work.
I was disappointed because my physician did all these tests prior to the procedure and told me I was a perfect candidate. Can't they tell that my cervix was to large to do the procedure? Just so frustrated.
I want to join! The pain is killing meeeeeee, my pelvis is killing me I feel like I'm in labor! I need helpppppp
I had the procedure done in 2007. All was well until about a year ago. Now, I have some type of discharge constantly, and my doctor told me I have post ablation syndrome. It has progressively gotten worse and it's to the point where the cramps are so painful, I can't manage them with medication. It's 1:00 a.m.And I'm in horrible pain right now. The ultrasound I recently had showed scarring and an ovarian cyst. The progesterone I was given to control the bleeding seems to make it worse. I think a hysterectomy is my last option now. Novasure should be removed from the market immediately.
I saw a brochure on the NovaSure procedure at the gyno. Office. It sounded great and I was really considering having it done!I believe all these stories have convinced me not to! I should have know the body would not take kindly to this type of interference. SIGH...I was hopeful for an end to my long, heavy, messy periods. Oh well.
I appreciate your post. Thank you!
There should be some research about the side effects of ablation. I wish that I never had it done. Irreversible weight gain is not worth it. I am tired of hearing doctors say the weight gain is unrelateed. A quick look online has voluminous complaints about the weight gain. I am surprised the procedure is still prescribed.
I had the procedure a yr and half ago. Recently in the last 4 months i started to experience labor pains during the time of my period. 2 - 3 days on pain killers and usually out of work for a day. They also mentioned endometriosis which i too find hard to believe. I never had any pain prior to this surgery. The pain i experience is unbearable, I delivered 3 children without any pain killers, meanwhile this pain is like they are tearing something from inside me. My Dr. is still running test, 2 vaginal ultrasounds, antibiotics, and blood work.
I am experiencing severe pain after 1 yr 1/2 after the procedure.
Extremely unhappy with the Novasure results, please contact me.
Please let me know what you found out about a class action suit because I have been going through all of the same things but worse for the last three years! I am scared to get a hysterectomy because that comes with its own set of issues but if I would have know I would be this sick I would have never considered this horrible procedure!
