Hello all! I had the nova sure procedure 11 weeks ago. Before the procedure,  did not read any reviews and afterwards, the reviews scared me to death. I would just like to say that my experience was not bad at ALL. about a week after the procedure I had a REALLY bad discharged that often felt like my water was breaking. It did not have an odor and was yellow/whitish. 4 weeks later, I was still having a discharge with mild cramping from time to time. 6 weeks out, I only had a discharge a couple of days a week. At my 8 week checkup, the discharge had completely stopped and my dr cleared me for intercourse (which really made my husband happy). It's been 11 weeks and I have not had a cycle. I believe this procedure will affect different women in different ways. I hope this helps someone out there

How is the lawsuit going with Novsure

Hi, I had novasure done 14 weeks ago, I've been in agony ever since. As I'm writing this I have maxed out on pain relief and I've got a heat pack on. I'm suffering horrendous cramps worse than child birth (I have 4 children) blinding headaches and also been experiencing pins and needles in arms, legs and down my spine. I also got sterilised at the same time which I was advised to do. I have since been back to see the surgeon who advised me to persevere till September which in pain terms seems so far away. My moods are all over the place which I think is down to the jag I got a month before the surgery to close down my ovaries. My gp thinks they have went into shock and taking a while to kick start. I hate depending on medicines to get me thru the day and try to hold off as long as I can as I've got 3 disabled children so this was meant to be the big fix to my period problems but I fell although my bleeding has improved tremendously it has just been swapped for pain which is not the answer I'm looking for. Tend to feel a hysterectomy would have been the best option but as I'm only 32 I felt far to young for this. Would be great to hear if there is anyone else having these problems xx

I also had novasure done a couple of years ago and cramping is so bad the first 2 days of period. They said I have uteran fibroids again (which is why I did novasure when they removed the last one) but they can't remove them because novasure shrinks uterus. I was told I have to live with horrible cramps until menopause.

That's horrible you have to wait till menopause. So far I've been told to wait till September to discuss the cramping. I'm getting them on a daily basis and now getting to the point that I'm really struggling to cope with them, I'm only 32 so menopause is still a good while away for my I couldn't handle this for the next 15/20 years xx

Hello I had the NovaSure procedure in January of 2012.  Since then I have gained 25 pounds.  Everytime I attempt to loose weight it jumps right back.  I also have severe back pains,  I thought my back pains were related to my weight gain.  But I think the pains are from the procedure.

I too had this procedure done I believe around 2009. With heavy blood clots and horrible periods being my reason. The clots would come out and around tampons while I was just sitting all day at home. First day maybe, two I could not go anywhere. I was told I would have light periods or spotting and eventually no periods at all. I thought this will be heaven!!! Well, I did have 3 day periods for a few years. Then they went back to being full 7 day periods and painful again. I just had 3 different areas of Endometriosis removed and a second ablation, a different kind though. Because I just couldn't take it anymore. I'm still not out of the woods yet. I feel as though I've never been the same. I had other friends who had an ablation that never saw their period again. Why did I have such trouble...is it this particular technique? If so, how are they getting away with it? How were there no suits filed before this? Why did I just stumble upon this forum?? Where do we go from here?

I also had endometrial ablation. The procedure went perfectly with no problems. I have also noticed a crazy wild libido and you put it perfectly, when you said, when my body doesn't feel it my brain does. Not that my husband is complaining, but my goodness, this must be how teenage boys feel...LOL

I had the novasure procedure and did not stop bleeding until I had a hysterectomy. It was a very painful experience.
