I had polyps removed & had nova sure ablation in the same time last Nov 18, 2014. My Dr. gave me for the pain and antibiotics. The pain was tolerable so I didn’t take it. 1-2 weeks after surgery I had watery & very light blood on it. Then after 3 weeks I had my monthly period. 1-2 days it was very light but after that about 1-2 days also its kidda heavy with clot then its back to normal just like before I had my monthly period. While writing my post I still in my period but not so heavy & it is my 5 days already (My normal was 6-7days). My Dr. gave me a card to track my monthly period as mostly woman with the same procedure stop their monthly period or have it light period.  I don’t have any cramps nor pain. I hope it will stay like this.. Btw, I already worked after 3 days of procedure.  I feel good so far, I keep you guys posted as after 2 months I have my 2nd    Dr. appointment on Feb. Good luck to us :).

Hi I understand exactly what you are going through. I experienced the same hell. Just reading what you wrote bright tears to my eyes. I had my ablation in August of this year. But I just recently had a partial hysterectomy. Aside from my incisions right now that's the only pain I am experiencing. I have had a lot of days off of work, and as you said a lot of tearful days.

I had the worst experience. The day after my ablation, my stomach was huge. I went back to my gyno, and she said my uterus felt much larger. She sent me to get an ultrasound. Although my uterus was much larger in size, she said I was fine. For months and even years, every month when I started my period, I had very little bleeding but the worst cramps and pain for three days. I was always swollen and could never stand for long periods of times anymore all month long, not just when having my period. I went to another doctor who ran tests and said an mri showed I had a septated uterus. After two more doctors, I went to yet another gyno. He told me I did not have a septated uterus, he said I had post ablation syndrome. He said my uterus had been burned in half. I had to have a hysterectomy which also was a disaster ending up in the ICU.....

Im so sorry about your problems, I to am having same issues, pms is terrible, the cramps, the pain in my legs and hips, the sickness to my stomach. Recently, more excruciating pain. I too am at my wits end. I did not want to have to have a hysterectomy, but if the pain and side effects would go away I would do it. How are you now? Do you feel better? What about your hormones? I'm 35, and I feel like I am already going through menapause with all these symptoms I've had. I just hope it doesn't get any worse. I'm due to have an ultrasound next week to see if they can find whats going on. When you say partial did you just get your uterus taken out? Laser surgery? Sorry so many questions as I am sure you are still trying to heal, but I'm so tired of feeling like this, and would love some insight. :) I hope you feel better soon!

Hi I had novasure 4 weeks ago still in pain and got cramps. Can't sleep because of the pain and I'm still discharging. Got to see the docter end of February he said that if this does not work will have to have hysterectomy due to so much pain I'm in each month.

It might be normal, but it's best to have it checked out for sure. I haven't been good sense I had it done. I also had a tubal done though. I hope you feel better. I went to a different doctor, and he seems to think my next step is hysterectomy. :( but hey I've heard nothing but positive things about how much better women feel that is if you leave ovaries in!:)

Same exact problem with excessive fluid collection, my orginal date was 08/10, didnt have any trouble until 10/2014. Dr reccomendation is a hyst. which i am against, however, this fluid has turned into a bacterial infection x2.

I had novasure in 2010 aswell. I'm in pain every day and still have my period. My doctor said "it's like a dandelion,we took off the head but forgot the roots. You will still have your period" and it's worse then it was before the procedure. I had no idea others were having the same issues. I've always had stuff going on down there and I assumed it was just me. Not the procedure. Glad I don't feel so alone anymore

Yes, it has been very hard for me. I am an emotional mess. I have scheduled my hysterectomy, they will leave my ovaries. The pain is bad, like you I thought that it was just me changing sense I'm 35 I thought maybe something's were changing but I did not have all this before the surgery not this kind of crazy pain, and other stuff. So frustrating. Hang in there get 2nd opinions. :)

I had this procedure done nearly four years ago and had many worries about it and weight gain.I had suffered with heavy periods and low iron for 16 years so had also sterlization done previous to this.I asked the consultant about weight gain as this. Was my worst fear and he said that he was not putting any hormones into me so there was no reason for weight gain.I still think you gain weight.however I had usual syptoms after and never had a period since overall mine went well as I have more energy and can do so much more.i  cant remember what I was like before its feels that long ago.everyone is different and yes I was scared but I had to take a chance because my periods was making my life unbearable.goodluck whatever anyone decides.

I had a tubal ligation in 2002 then novasure done in 2011. I just had surgery last week because of the novasure I had to have both Fallopian tubes removed because they were blocked, dilated and full of fluid. During the surgery they found my left ovary had large cyst on it and had to remove it. I had been experiencing pain on my right side for years but thought it was just cramps. After ultrasound CT scans and mri they finally found the problem. My hair has been falling out my mood is horrible I'm cranky and irritable all the time. Both ovaries showed cysts for several months but the Dr insisted that my hormone levels were not affected by this. She said I shud see my psychiatrist (I am bipolar 2). I see my psychiatrist every 3 months and always take my meds and I know what my moods are like during bipolar cycles and this is not because of that. My psychiatrist increased some of my meds and it's been more than a month and nothing has changed. I now have hot flashes night sweats no libido hair still falling out not sleeping well despite taking my prescription meds to help me sleep which have always worked in the past. The surgeon insisted to my fiance that losing one ovary would not be the cause of any of this. She won't run blood tests to check hormone levels and I'm angry cuz I've been reading of lots of other women who have had this and had full hystorectomy and my Dr won't listen to me. She even said this happens in a small percentage of women who had tubal ligation and novasure done. So I want to know why and how is the FDA still allowing this and not warning ppl of the risk. Somehow the Fallopian tubes get blocked and dilate and fill with fluid. I want to sue novasure because I've been thru so much and it's cost thousands of dollars to figure this out and fix it but I'm still not fixed.

I had the same thing and just had to have my Fallopian tubes and one ovary removed cuz novasure caused a blockage to both tubes and then caused cysts on my ovaries to the point the left one had to be removed cuz it was so big. Now I have hot flashes night sweats irritable all the time hair is falling out and nice libido. Most of the symptoms started a couple months ago but are even worse with one ovary and the Dr says it's not hormonal. No blood work has been done to check my hormone levels and she told me it's my bipolar and to see my psychiatrist which I see every 3 months and take my meds religiously. Don't understand why a Dr won't listen to someone who has been bipolar for 11 yrs and knows what my moods are like when I'm having a bipolar cycle. Even my fiance tried to tell her this isn't normal. I hope you have better luck than me.
