I am glad I ran across this tonight. I am 29 and I have been having almost the exact symptoms that have been discussed here for almost a month now.

It started about a few days after I moved into my new apartment. my old apartment was on the 3rd floor and the new one was a 3rd floor apartment also. there was alot of strain and carrying...and im out of shape as heck.

I had pain in my left testicle, my lower back, and a curious pain that went right down the center of my left leg all the way to my knee. these pains were not terrible, just nagging like a toothache. and even more curious they never hurt at the same time, just one at a time. I have also noticed that the pain comes only when I have been sitting for an extended period of time or I have been walking on concrete a long time (walking to school, in the mall, etc.)

after a week of this not going away I went to the student health center here and it sucked! the first thing they asked were questions about sexlife and discharge and what not...i have been with the same woman for 7 years and no abnormalities....never the less, I was tested for every STD i could pronounce. everything was negative of course, and he treated me with antibiotics and i thought they were the answer but the pain has crept back up in the past couple of days. it comes and it goes, and there are no lumps or signs of a hernia. I also ran out of gas near the gas station about a week ago and had to push/steer my truck into the station by myself, and I noticed that the pain started immedidately. I will be going in for an ultrasound just to make sure everything is ok but I think I am going to be trying the back exercises before I do that, because i have noticed that when i do have the pains i can stand up straight or turn certain ways and the pain is gone.

Thanks again for the tips and I will be sure to post my outcome from this ordeal

anyone had any more luck with the physio and the deep tissue massage? I myself was diagnosed with traumatic epididymitis, but the symptoms I have are pretty much like the other posts I've seen and I noticed my problems happened after playing a lot of tennis. I've actually been on anti-biotics and anti-inflammatories, but none of it has made the pain completely go away.

I think I may have to look into the deep tissue massage myself. I'm just curious if anyone else has had any progress.

I have a similar problem.

Check out this website, it may help alleviate some of the stress about it.

Hello.

I have the exact same symptoms. My doctor has diagnosed a strain of the tendon running from outside my left hip to underneath my scrotum. Mine was a running injury. I started physical therapy and that seems to be helping. I will update my posting in a week.

i got this same symptom about 2 weeks ago. i had a vasectomy, and then a week later, it seemed i was recovered, and i had to move my stuff to a new apartment. (common theme here). after that this pain started. i was tempted to blame it on the vasectomy but after reading these stories i think maybe that was a red herring, or just an aggravating factor, but the pain definitely began while i was moving luggage.

Hi all. Just reading all these posts. About 6 weeks ago I developed a dull pain in my right testicle. It comes and goes, a few hours a day on average. Nothing is particularly sensitive and no lumps etc. I went to the doc a few weeks ago. Hew had a good look and a feel and decided it was a sprain. He suggested some antibiotics. I didn't take them cos I felt if it was sprain then I would let it go away but its still here and the past two days it has gotten worse.

Ive had/have a lump on my right testicle for a while now, i got it around the time i started to do alot of extrem sports, skating biking etc... it did not bother me at first however as i have started to become more active again, it has started to give me a slight pain that goes up towards my stomach, doctor gave me medication to take a whle ago because she said it was a strain injury... I started to take the medication and it started to ease off hopwever the medication gave me ulcers so i stopped taking it.

Now im more active again it has flaired up again and is being an irritant.

I had the same symptoms and freaked out. I went to the doctor who had a good prod around, did urine test. He found nothing serious wrong and came to the conclusion it was groin strain, which I trust. He advised me to take painkillers where necessary (which it isn't) and do stretches forward and back with my left leg to help it repair. He said it should be ok in 2 weeks. Have you seen a doctor?

played alot of sports from younger till now, and I have this pain in my scrotum, feelis like ever few mins someone is tapping my left testical with a stick, naturally my left testical is lower than the right but I used to run track workouts and jump workouts in my boxers, with no support. so I am not certain but the left testical drops lower than the right when I am either sexual or very hot. I felt for lumps but only thing I am feelin is the tubes or veins that are behind the testicals I feel it more on the left because it is looser than the right, almost as if the right is not being used. lol. when working out if I used underarmour tights I feel nothing as soon as I wear boxers or loose underwear it gives me a slight pain. pain is not bad , not even harsh just strange feeling. not in pain just uncomfortable. that sums it up. I am nervous but am setting up a doctors appointment to get a examination. nervous it is a tumor or but when all else fails go see the DOCTOR!!

i have had a similar problem for about 7 months now. it comes and goes.
i am 19, and in poor shape
when i initially had the pain i went to the doctors and they said it was epididymitis, and i received pain killers and antibiotics. i have still been getting the pain, but it is dull and happens for a few days once every 2-3 weeks. i normally take a few ibuprofen to dull the pain.

i did talk to a doctor who suggested that it may be a small blockage inside the epididymis caused by old semen, or even trapped air, from having sex - is it a possibility?

About a year ago I noticed a bulge above me left going extending to just above my left testicle. An ultrasound reveiled what the Doc called a fatty out-blast. And I shouldn't be concerned.

Then this winter I had epididymitis, there was blood in my semen, then my left testicle became extremely sore. The Doc put me on antibiotics. Dioxycycline didn't clear it up but some stronger stuff Levaquin did.

Now pain has returned in the left testicle. But its dull, much like the toothache pain some have likened it to. No blood in the semen. Also when I pass gas, depending on how I'm positioned I get a quick spike in pain.

I do some stretching, I am extremely inflexible, and when I do I have quite a bit of pain in the lower back, left side, just above the hip. I had hurt my back pretty bad when I was young, playing football and again skiing. But those were many years ago. Most recently I pulled my left groin fairly bad. I do alot of biking and have spent 12 hour days walking on concrete at my job for the past 9 years.

I'm not sure what to think, I don't want to throw money at the Doctor just to get miss diagnosed, so I think I'll try increasing the stretching and maybe look into the deep muscle back massage.

Eric,

Thank you so much for posting your response. Here is my story...

I have been suffering from the same symptoms that most people have listed (sharp to dull/aching, sometime spasmatic pains in my left testicle, occasional migration of pain to my right testicle, infrequent pain that shoots down to my left knee and around my lower abdomen). This all began with pain in my left testicle almost four years ago. The pain would cycle: approximately 5-7days of hurt followed by 5-7 days without pain. I've been through a gamut of inspections through urologists and physicians. I've done multiple ultrasounds and CT scans of my kidneys, bladder, and testicles and also had a camera sent up my penis to inspect the inside of my bladder. I've done multiple urine cultures, have taken regular prescriptions of Doxycyclin and have taken high doses of Motrin. I've done a semen analysis and more. Every test came back either negative or without relation to my symptoms; at which point it was implied that since nothing was severely wrong with me I should consider just putting up with it.

But I tried what you suggested; while sitting, I slouched my back and VERY slowly relaxed my lower back. This caused a sharp stinging sensation in my lower back vertibrae (doesn't feel like a muscle stretch) that surprisingly caused a "hot" sore sensation in my left testicle. As I cycle through these lower back stretches a few time, the mobility in my lower back improves and the pain while stretching eventually goes away. I've tried this intermittently about twice a week for three months now and have not had a recurrence of my testicle pains since. I should note however, that I have woken up twice in the night since I've started these stretches from pain in my lower back and am suspect now that my mattress is the root cause of this issue now.

I hope this may help others out there that have had similar discomfort and worries. If anything changes, I'll follow up with another post.
