I too have been having the same pains for almost a month now. I have tried many different things. I recenlty took part in one of my health classes and I actually asked my teacher about this problem. This guy is very smart and is a personal trainer for some of the pro sports elite atheletes. He gave me some advice and has even given me testimonys on some pro atheletes that have had the same problem. I have been an avid runner and love cardio. He says that I am not stretching properly and not doing it often enough. Some of us are built different and muscles tighten up worse for others. The groin is the most important stretch if you are at the gym doing cardio. He said he sees this problem in many young atheletes who didn't stretch much in high school but when you get older the stretching is needed more and more. Do a variety of leg stretches that stretch out the whole leg including the groin, calves, thighs, hip flexors, hamstrings, neck and lower back. Google if you are unsure about some of them. Do these stretches for 30 seconds each and hold them in that position. Warm up for 5 minutes and repeat the same process. Do you workout (whatever it may be) and repeat your streches after your done. Do this religiously everytime you workout and in the days that you have off do yoga (even though it might sound gay) or a good stretch rountine as described earlier. Flexibility is the key and is the cause of the problem. Your muscles will constrict if you are not holding the stretches long enough or not doing it before or after your workouts. Especially will constrict in your days off so be sure to do it all the time. Not only will it get rid of this annoying pain but you will fill spry and youthful again. This is the answer to most of the problems. Give it a try for a week or two. If problem persists obviously see a doctor as it may be related to other health problems. Doctors will not give you stretching advice or tell you this so if you don't have answers from a doctor this is probably the issue. Stretch and if you can't do it effectively on your own, get a personal trainer or go see a physical therapist who will teach you and give you the care you need.
Hope this helps. It did for me.

Hi
I have had a very dull (and constant) ache in my left testicle for the last 7 days. Yesterday I went to the doctors hoping not to hear the worst - he told me that it is a groin strain and all I can do is take Ibuprofen for a while and see if it stops aching in 2-3 weeks

I am not entirely sure if I am happy with this diagnosis if I am honest, I am an avid footballer and runner and I know what I would expect a groin strain or tear to feel like, and it definitely wouldnt be where I am feeling the pain!

I work in an office so am sat down all day which makes the ache worse

My pain is the same and was terrible a week ago. I was awakened at night from the pain in my testicle area. I almost cried and was about to castrate myself! Since then everyday it has gotten better day by day. It's a tricky pain and a sneaky one too! It comes and goes when it wants to. I went to doctor for blood work and I go for my test results tomorrow (Friday). Keep me in your prayers. I sympathize with all those who have this unfortunate pain.

It's me again. I got my blood results back today and all was negative. That was a relief. The pain in my testicle has subsided for 2 days now. My doc told me it may have been a nerve that goes from the inner thigh towards my testicle or in my testicles that was the problem. I watched these videos about Pelvic pain and testicle pain and they make a lot of sense and I would advise you all to do the same.

Same problem here for about 1.5yrs now; lower back pain, pain/discomfort in the groin/scrotum area. Worsens when sitting too long at work, driving, traveling, constantly adjusting underwear, some minor ED probs; erection goes soft while on back (do not feel 100%). Had FULL bloodwork, saw a urologist, check prostrate, for lumps etc. Had a CAT scan, ultra sound, and two MRIs, everything is all good. I think 90% of us all have the same issue, some type of hernia or nerve issue.

Im thinking we need to make some sense of what works and does not work; kind of comb over these 7pages of info on this site or one could be here all night reading over all this good info. Assuming you went to your Dr. had full blood work done and some type of scan or ultra sound and assuming all that came back ok then...

Deep Tissue
Stretching exercises for the back, even some yoga and light weight training
Physical Therapy
Acupuncture
Aleve (NASID)
ICE; 20min every few hrs
Focus on better posture while sitting and taking breaks

I think this list might be a good start. Feel free to add and hopefully we can all get rid of this discomfort.

I have a similar pain. Its most annoying to me when I am high on Marijuana or shortly after any sexual activity. The numb feeling itself seems to come and go as it please, and sometimes has subsided fully. I usually tend not to notice when my mind is fully cocupied with something else. Im personally going to start looking into a healthier diet and exercise as I think it may be linked to my liver, other than that all I can think of is I may have pulled a nerve while wanking it :-( Good Luck Gentlemen.

I also been suffering such pain or rather discomfort. Sometime it got worse and sometime it disappeared completely. I don't understand why.

Hi, I was very surprised to find this forum and to discover it is such a spread condition! I just started yesterday with the dull pain everyone mentions and I was searching the web trying to find a relation with Creatine. I have 1.5 weeks taking creatine and working out hard at the gym. That is the only thing that changed in my life recently so I tended to think that somehow this pain (that had never experience before) was related to that fact.
Now it all seems that it could either be the Crestine or the heavier weight or a combination of both things. Even some sort of minor injure on the lower back or some nerve. I am scare like hell of reading of unfortunate people who have live with this for years!
Now I am going to pay close attention to what I do at the gym and slow down to the Cretine intake. Also do some of the stretching and massages recommended in the forum.
Hopefully it will go away soon, I can't imagine what it may be like to have this pain indefinitely. I sympatize with those of you who have suffered such ordeal for a long time.

Regards!

I wonder if i too have the same problems you all discribed.Ive had a dull ache like pain on my right testicle for about four days. Im planning on seeing the doctor soon. About the same time i got the pain i started to experience slight back pain and also have been sleeping kind of weird. I have also been exercising for about 2 months and this past week havent been able to fit a workout in my schedule and thats when i started to get the pain. You guys think my problem could be caused from not properly stretching out before my work outs? But it also seems odd that it started a week after i stopped working out. I hope someone can shine some light on my issue. Really nervous about seeing a doctor.

Hi. I have the same symptoms described by many people here.

I think it is probably related to not stretching properly before exercise. I did 10 minutes jogging / star jumps, knee ups etc without properly stretching first. I didnt relate the pain to this activity, but thinking back to when the pain started this is probably the case.

I'd describe it as feeling like you have been kicked in the crotch a few hours ago, and all that remains is a dull ache. I have had the sensation now for about 48 hours.

I dont think I will bother going to the doctors at this point, I will take some ibuprofen and do the exercises from earlier in the post. If the symptoms persist for more than a week, then I will go see someone about it.

Can anyone confirm that the physio coppied below cures the issue???

1. Get on all fours with your knees on the floor. Arch you back like a cat would do, hold it for ten seconds then drop your belly to the floor (so basically your arching and slumping your back) put a bit of pressure on it when you do.
3x

2. Curl up into a ball and hug your knees to you chest wrap your arms around them and pull them right in. Then arch your head fowards as far as you can.
3x

3. Bit hard to explain. Lie on your back flat on the floor, now bring your knees up and let them lie on the floor to one side at a 90 degree angle your body now keep your knees to the side and turn your upper body in the opposite direction and lean the other way (as though you where trying to twist in two) I find this hard to do so I grab onto something and pull myself the other way. If you haven't done this one before you may feel you spine crack a little (but that's always good news).
1X Either side 20-30 seconds each.

I have the same issue, and I think I may know what's going on: strained Cremaster muscle or muscles. These muscles pull your testicles up toward your body when it's cold or when you're alarmed. They are connected to and form from your abdominal muscles. Once strained and inflamed, they will tend to stay that way. You must get the muscles to relax and get the inflammation down to let them heal. What I'm trying, which seems to be helping:

1. Warm baths, twice a day. This will relax the muscles.

2. Do not ice, as this will cause the muscles to contract. Take an anti-inflammatory (aspirin or ibuprofen) instead.

3. Do not do anything that will put pressure on your testicles:

- Ridding a bike, rowing, etc.
- Sitting straight up: slouch for a while, with your butt on the end of the seat. Do as much standing as you can.
- Resist the urge to check on how the recovery is going. Any touching of sore spots will start a new cycle of pain.
- Wash very gently, and avoid sore spots.

4. Important: sleep on you back, with your legs slightly spread. I've found that sleeping on my side causes pressure on the testicles in their current state, and the next day is painful. If you normally can't fall asleep on your back, use a sleeping aid such as Melatonin (make sure you get a full 8 hours sleep, or you will be groggy the next day).

5. Don't suck in your gut for a few days. Sucking in your gut activates your abdominals, and the Cremaster muscles involuntarily contract.

6. Keep up the regimen, if it works, for a few days after the pain is gone, to ensure that the muscles are healed.

Good luck, and post your results.

Hope this helps!

Glad i've found this topic... I've had a similar problem with my left testicle for the past week.

I'm 19 and just started working out and doing cardio for the first time in my life a couple of months ago.. I had no problems at all. however, after a game of soccer last week, i felt like i pulled a groin muscle. the pain in the groin was gone the next day but i've had discomfort in my right testicle ever since.

Unlike some people here, mine is a discomfort like i said and not pain. it gets worse the more that I sit down. Im gonna give it a day or 2 and then check with a doctor if it doesn't get better
