I had a hard lump right inside where my earring goes through the hole for a while and once I took my earring out I couldn't get it back in.
It felt like there was something inside so I squeezed it from the inner part of the lobe towards the outer and a huge black lump of nasty guck came out almost like my earlobe was pushing out

! It was pretty gross. I take much better care of my ears these days and my earlobe has not had a black baby since.
The lump is GONE! Just like everyone here I had a lump on my left ear lobe (like a small marble) and it was NOT near my ear piercings. The lump was between my ear piercing and my face so still def. in the ear lobe. It was there for months and then it started getting bigger and it started hurting. I was scared it was cancer or something. I read these forums but ended up more scared. Anyways, it has been a couple of months since it stopped hurting but this week I noticed a grain coming out of it and then more and more stuff came out as the days passes (like a pimple); it just came out! Soooo, don't worry and go to sleep if you are finding yourself scared that it could be cancer. Of course, if it last more than a year or it starts to encompass more than a third of your ear lobe see your doctor. You should be going in for an annual check up once a year anyways.
a good way to get rid of these things is you put abit of dishwashing liquid just on end 2 -3 days its got will scab up abit go red but what it is doing is antibacterial kills germs so will end up killing it, dish liquid is pretty safe sometimes will even use as facewash but only as tiny bit if u know it can kill bacteria u know its good dont use anything stronger like bleach or somthing or it can be fatal
if you have a keloid, you can put asprin paste on it, you crush up an aspirin and put some water in it and you put it on the keloid for like 10 minutes and then wash it off, it should go down after a day
Back to the tumor statement i think i have a theory for it being a tumor. People say that cell phones can cause cancer so maybe the developing ear lumps are due to the cell phone radiation and form on the ear you talk on the cell phone with. This is just a theory and isnt notable at all.
if you believe it's a cyst, try putting a hot wash cloth to the lump for 15 minutes, twice daily, for about 10 days. the heat causes the liquid inside the sac to melt which can then be reabsorbed.
Yes, I have noticed this too Jay... I have one in my ear and my boyfriend had one in his ear and my Moms boyfriend had one in his ear all recently. This fregging thing HURTS!!!!!!!!!! What the heck is it?
hey, i had this in my earlobe before, at first it was just a bump caused by getting my ear pierce infected. then it grew swollen n got bigger everyday up to the point where its hard to sleep and cant go to work coz its really like having a small bouncy ball behind ur ear. i went to the dr n he told me that the bump was a cebaceus cease, not sure bout the spelling but he said it got irritated n that was the reason y my earlobe was swollen. its really easy to get rid of but u jst hav to be patient. youll have to wait for it to get big enough or apply hot compress. then ur dr or u if u hav the balls will hav to mke a small cut behind ur earlobe deep enough to access the puz sack. once u do, puz should drip out ur earlobe like crazy, u will have to squeeze it to get all of it out which could get very painful. but once u get it all out, i can assure u ur ear would feel alot better n lighter. n if ur lucky u might squeeze out some or most of the cease out of ur earlobe. the color would be white n trust me, the smell is something ud never forget, so if u plan on doing this on ur own, mke sure to do this with an empty stomach, or better yet, jst hav ur dr do it for u jst to be safe.
I alos have a big red something on the back of my ear. i have had it lanched 2 times already but it keeps coming back and worse it comes back more painful, can anyone tell me wht it is and how it could be treated?
hey everyone, i had a spot (pimple) behind my right ear about 7 years ago that has never filly disappeared, i now have a large cyst like lump on my right lower lobe that is very painful. here is the strange part for thoses of you that don`t understand REFLEXOLOGY.... your hands, feet and EARS are a mirror image of the body the right lower lobe is connected (mirror image) of dental analgesia, eye, face, inner ear and jaws & teeth.
i have been having trouble woth both my eyes for the past week but don't have a cyst like lump on my left ear. This may NOT be connected at all.
Cysts can be very painful if left untreated. Cysts CAN re-occur time and time again, if they are surgically removed the surgeon tries their best to remove 100% of the cyst this is not always as easy as it sounds, if the is a little piece of the cyst left behind then the cyst can come back.
i had a cyst on my big toe that was first thought to be scar tissue until i went into theatre to have it removed, that was when the surgeon first realised it was a cyst. since then i have had the same scar re-opened twice more, the last op has hopefully done the trick.
I hope this helps everyone i tried to keep it clean lol XD
all the best kirsty xx

This was my story for years. Turns out that I have a nickel allergy and any jewelry that contained nickel, including earring backs, caused my ears to get infected. Now I just wear sterling silver and have had no probs for the last 30 years! Ask the dermatologist to check you for a contact dermatitis like nickel.
It can be a zit, gotta wash your ears a few times a day, and when you pop it, and it does hurt, the blood will flow out and slowly the zit will go away.
I had this happen a few times (10 years ago) and it was a cyst. You can go to the dematologist vs. a plastic surgeon. I'm sure that could get a bit expensive. They make a small cut on the back of your earlobe and remove it. Once they had to wait until it was infected to remove & put a tube with anti-biotics. Its not a lot of fun and you may notice some small scar tissue after.
Okay so I have a little bump right above where you would get a regular piercing on the ear. It's very little and I was wondering if it will effect and what's something that will happen if I don't see a Docter.. thank you-annonomys
i have two lumps one bigger than the other in my right ear it is not in the middle it is more toward my head and they dont hurt but they have been there for only 2 months i am going to see what is is soon
