You should definitely go to a doctor and get checked out to rule out anything like MS. I have tingling in my face and ears as well, which rules out several serious things.
I've tried acupuncture, which helped, and chiropractics, which did not. I've resisted taking medications and am now doing a course in hypnotherapy to help me block the sensations. I also do yoga and tai chi, which seem to help also but the tingling is always there.
The main thing is to go to a doctor and try to rule out whatever he can. My neurologist told me early on he had no idea what it was or what I could do about it beyond exercising and eating right.
So Calcium deficiency was the true culprit! It does take some time to bring back the calcium levels up in your body.
It shows that for proper health, a varied nutrition rich diet helps to keep at bay many of the ailments suffered by the population.

Hi there! I was having these abnormal sensations like pins and needles and all over my body, I also had burning and tingling sensations and it lasted for more than a year. I went to see if I’m allergic to something but no, it was not a reason, I went to dermatologist but it was all ok with my skin until I finally ended up at neurologist and guess what I got diagnosed of subacute combined degeneration of spinal cord. I know I also never hearth of it before and never thought that these tingling, pins and needles might be related to something like that but it turned out to be so. Anyway this subacute combined degeneration was caused by lack of vitamin B-12 complex I actually suffered from anemia. I don’t know how vitamin B-12 deficiency may damage the nerves but I know I had exact the same symptoms like yours are. So I would recommend you to see a neurologist.
I am prescribe Effexor but recently cut my dose a little and just put in a call to my medication doctor to find out if she thinks increasing it will help. Also, like many others here, I quit smoking cigarettes 5 months ago without replacement therapy except or smoking extra pot. I decided yesterday to wake up today and not smoke pot at all because it might be playing into it. Yesterday, a friend suggested it was low blood sugar, but drinking sugary beverages hasn't helped it subside at all.
Thanks for your prior posts and responses.
Edit: I know it's not a vitamin deficiency of b12. I took a multivitamin before for a while and I was still getting the stinging pain. Something i should also mention, my neck has been really uncomfortable for these past months, it feels sort of stiff and I have to move it a lot. It never feels uncomfortable. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it but yeahh..
