Hi,

I am also suffering from what you described for a long time and I am sorry to say that I couldn’t find and solution to this problem. Like you, I also believe this is heat triggered and can be so difficult some time to deal with. When it happens it happens all around my body especially concentrating on my back, shoulder, chest and back of my head. And I can describe it as thousands of needles trying to come out of my skin and it is painful, I have been known to go outside with nothing but the vest on in middle of winter or stick my head under cold running tab to cool myself down, and as soon as I am cooled it seems to stop but again I never know when it might come back.

As I said I suffered from this for long time, since 1997. I ve been to doctors before with no result. I had some test done but they were all normal and because there is no visual thing that you can show to doctors, they usually think that you have physiological problem. And I believe it isn’t.

Because it happens when I get hot and the pain I feel, is like something trying to come out of my skin I can only assume this is sweat related. And I think we might suffer from some kind of blocked sweat gland. But I have no proof of that either because this illness usually should have some visual sign on the skin.

Ant the other thing makes me think it is sweat related is that when I go on my treadmill I do suffer from same pain again especially during first warm up just before you to sweat and it usually last for 5min but then more I sweat less pain I receive. And also I noticed that when I do regular exercise I do suffer from this illness less or not as painful. So you might want to give this a try.

I hope my experiences might be any help to you and if you find any solution please share.

Thanks

I get it when im calm too. Sometimes the attacks are really random. I can get them from places of familiarity as well; places where i know I will get attacks, each time I go to the same place, the attacks occur when im at this certain place. This sh*t sucks.

Does your skin go red (no bumps or rashes just redness of the skin) in the areas where you get the pain? Is it itchy?

No, I dont get anything like that, mine is %100 heat realted.

I am 15 and a started getting this about a month or two ago. for me its been pins and needles that start to itch more than hurt or tingle and then start burn and feel like there are actually needles being pushed into my skin. it tends to only happen after I bike, run, or get embarrassed, but it has happened when I'm just sitting down as well. I talked to a nurse (not a doctor) and she said that it could be to much toxicity in my blood.  Does this sound like that could be it?

I got this pain today for the first time, im 17 and suffer from crohns disiese, i have had surgery to remove part of my bowel that was affected and it was the part that suposedly absorbs most of the b12 so from what ive read that could be my problem. thanks to everybody who commented.

i have had the same symptoms as all of you as well, im 16 and have had this weird skin problem for about a year now. i have tried to change my clothes, deodorant, shower gel and nothing works. the ways i get this horrible skin problem is when i go from cold to a hot temperature, like when i go in doors from a cold temperature into a warm environment, it really doesn't help when the entrance to your college has a heater right next to the entrance ill tell you that. also it happens when i get embarrassed, stressed and sometimes when i get excited (don't take that in the wrong way), sometimes its a case of me taking my coat of then having a cold drink and possibly even just staying in the cold a bit longer, that can sometimes calm the problem down, but it never keeps it away for very long.

i have looked through the comments on here and i will find some more research on this B12 thing you can have and i will try and find more ways in which i can prevent this horrible skin problem.

thanks everyone

Wow Jordan exact same reasons but sometimes i can get them completely randomly. Sometimes when i wake up in the middle of the night I can get it, I also now have a hard time talking to people and I used to be into drama. This is taking a huge toll on my life, Im about to do a urine test for this specialist and I'll see how that goes. Im not sure if this is a weird skin problem more than it is the sharp pain which is sort of like goosebumps except the feeling is more painful, widespread and sharp. The redness just appears as a result of the pain. ):

i get redness too, and sometimes goose-bump like spots covering my body, mostly the arms though.

Hi there,
I've been most frustrated, because I've been feeling pins & needles (especially when I walk) throughout my body, I have also been suffering from headaches everyday for the past week, extreme fatigue and ridiculous sweaty episodes (soaked through on a cool night)>  I would also love to know what may be causing this....I am a 42 year old female, a little over weight, but not unhealthy, and I thought that I may be experiencing early menopause....BUT after having tests done, the results are normal (totally balanced hormones).  Before I go to a doctor, can anyone advise?
Thanks

PINS AND NEEDLES THOUGH OUT THE BODY
You can always try using oil of oregano, just rub it on feet after bath or shower. you can also put the oil under tongue. It seems to help my pins and needles. i have been looking for the cure to. i have never seen a doctor about it because they will most likely put me on some F ing drugs like they always do to people. I am 17 and i have had this ever since i was 15 years old. it gets triggered by heat, and when ever i have high adrenaline. it seems its getting much worse as time passes.

Well my symptons are really different from Kaz's. I dont really sweat much and I dont feel fatigues or get any headaches, in fact I never get headaches. I might consider using the oil of oregano iunno maybe, but you should see a doctor soon... I have trouble talking to peopel face to face with this pain, it sucks.
