PROACTIVE ALERGIC REACTION!

So I recently tried proactive and the exact same thing happen to me that happened to you. I look like I aged by 20 years also. So question is how long did it take to go away and what help take the bumps away?

I am gutted I have been using proactive for over a month and my skin was better than ever my pores are tiny and my chin and jaw area where I get regular breakouts has had only one pimple a month! Was sooo loving it but like all of you had reported I started with and itchy area by my ear and woke up this morning with lots of patches of the lil clear bumps your talking about and swollen eyes gahh pissed this is happened owell back to the drawing board!!!!

I did'nt had exactly redness on my skin but it was feeling itchy through out the day. So, I consulted to my dermatologist. She already had the idea about the symptoms of proactive. So, she consulted me to use olive leaf extract as it contains all natural ingredients that take good care of our skin.

i tried it for two nights and it worked the first but near my eyes started to get itchy but by the second night i used it and i woke up to my face itchy and red also my eyes were swollen and i had black marks around my eyes that have caused my eye lids to look bruised is there even a quick solution to fix the damaged caused to my face?

I purchased the new proactiv system and used the eye brightening serum. The next moring I woke up with darker, crusty, itchy skin around my eyes. There is something wrong with that product so people should not use it. I had the same reaction with the spot corrector. The product is not safe for everyone. They do not mention any adverse reactions nor how to deal with them.

I started proactive in 2004 in middle school because of my terrible acne. I tried everything and nothing worked. But once in a while id come across certain a product from the brand names at department stores,and all of a sudden would wake up with my face burning, red, and my eyes slightly puffy, i reallly didnt think about it much back then because my skin wasn't very sensitive. Finally when proactive came along and they were fantastic-until the refining mask-id miss literally days of school and work because I couldn't even force my eyes open and my face hurt so much i couldnt talk. Yes i was a stubborn teenager and didnt realize i may b allergic to a certain ingredient, but after all these years i decided to try it again and STILL no improvement! After reading many forums with people facing the same problem that dont have sensitive skin and have no idea why this has happened, i realize that its not just me, so if its been going on for this long, wouldnt this be a red flag and we have a solution by now?? Id rather get my money from the days of work i missed and hours of homework i had to catch up on, than this FREE "amazing" product that they keep sending month after month, even with an outstanding number of complaints.

you can use benzyl peroxide lotion 2.5% with paraffin liquid and levo cetrizen for the treatment of allergic reaction and swelling the face.

Try to avoid contact around the eye, After washing my face with Proactiv Exfoliator I use baby shampoo to wash around my eye and that seems to help, no itchiness and swelling Anymore. Hope that helps.

I have a swollen face and eyes, very itchy and uncomforable. Can anyone tell me what to do legally against the company, this is crazy. I have used the product many times over the years and never had this reaction. I am seriously thinking about taking legal action and would like to know who else had this problem. 

The same thing happen to me to about 9 years ago so I call them they don't believe me cause I don't remember what medical they give me at the hospital

I feel u guys. I'm only 13, but I have been using Proactiv for almot a year, but for some reason my face, is starting to peel, and it will look so bad in foundation, than it has been starting to STING, its been like this for about two days though, but still. 

Proactive ruined my skin too! It gave me a really bad case of eczema, a skin disease! At first when I used it back in 2007 it seemed to be working for a week, and then my skin started to burn, crack, bleed, and shed. I went to the doctor who told me stop using it and I did and for a while I thought my skin was normal again. Unfortunately I didn't know my skin was slowly developing a hypersensitive reaction to the proactive, that didn't fully reveal itself until years later, called seborrheic eczema, a kind of eczema caused by an unknown irritant. My skin never acted this way until that day I used proactive, and after I stopped using it was supposed to be over, but apparently it wasn't. It's like I'm living that day continuously over and over again with this skin disease that proactive cause. I have beyond severe dandruff that is crustiness all over my scalp, that anti-dandruff shampoo only gets rid of for one day. I can't go swimming anymore otherwise my skin turns red and raw from too much water. My skin on my face looks like burnt up scars anytime the temperature changes! My face now sheds like a snake does on a daily basis. Now I'm actually happy when I have zit, because that means a part of my skin is normal for a little bit. My scalp becomes so dry it aches in pain! I warn you do not use proactive or it will probably ruin your skin forever like mine! I can't even live a normal life because my skin is so messed up. I plan on seeing proactive for ruin my skin and life! Please I warn anyone planning on trying proactive to not or be very careful because it may ruin your life like mine!

You are having an allergic retain the the sulfa that is to the product. Stop using it and call Proactive. They will refund you and make a report. It is also in their Xout products. My kids are allergic to sulfa and that's how I found out.

Hi Everyone...I got the newer Proactiv + about a month ago and when I was a teen I used the regular one forever like 3 years and never had a problem. I only use the product on my face, but it seems like everytime I use it my neck breaks out in hives/welt. First my neck will turn red and then like long raised areas on my neck will start to itch. I work at a sauna and have to clean them when people are done so I think when I sweat a little form my face it reaches my neck and that is how the proactive is getting on my neck. I am not sure though, I have tried to cvut certain foods out and just use the proactive and sometimes I am fine and sometimes I am not. I don't know what to do! vI just wanted to see if anyone else was having this problem or if it is something I may be eating since its on my neck...help please!
