suboxone is easy to come off

but how did you get off the suboxone?? That is where my problem lies! i am completely dependent on suboxone for the last 2 years, how did you get off?

i have been on suboxone for 9 years from my doc and in one day i start detox from suboxone they are giving me the cocktail then vivtrol wish me luck

I have been on suboxone for 2 years I am now going through treatment in less then 48 hours I will be detoxing from suboxone I find it impossible to get off without help withdraw sucks they have anew thing that I am trying they are giving me whats called a cocktail it is like 15 medications that help every withdraw symptom some of them are tramadol valium coloidine and alot more then after I will be getting what is called the vivitol shot that does not alow you to do them and if u do it goes striaght threw ur body i wish u the best of luck but i would really talk to a doctor close by about the treatment they have for suboxone i will be back on in a weeek to let you know how the detox was

Im tapering myself now. Me and my boyfriend both actually. Been on suboxone for over a year now, one relapse, but other than that ive been RXd 8mg suboxone strips 3x a day...i have NEVER EVER TAKEN THAT MUCH!! For the past few weeks i take less an 8th once in the morning and once at night. I WANT TO BE DONE WITH THIS!! Im tired of havin to depend on ANYTHANG to fucntion!!! So, im DONE with paying the crazy a** prices the clinic i go to charges when i dont even SEE THE DOC!!! Its ridiculous. Some places/Doctors DO CARE but sadly most DONT? They BANK off of our addictions....not ok. So....my question...besides taking painkillers, which is the stooopest thang ive everrr heard of....HOW CAN I KICK THIS TO THE CURB!?!? I wake up in full blown withdrawls...stomach killing me,runny nose, ohhhh it sucks hard!!! If i dont take my tiny dose before bed or as soon as i get up ill be sick as dog...so what gives?? PS IF YOU CANNOT AFFORD BOTH YOUR DOC AND YOUR PRESCRITION....

I'm not being rude but 2-4mg is still a high dose. I find when I get to.5 is where the prob. 's start. Depression pain lack of hunger etc!!!!!!

Suboxone is one of the most powerful opiates on earth. It is a partial agonist which means it causes virtually no euphoric effect compared to the full agonist types of opiate drugs  There are many people that experience severe withdrawal symptoms coming off even as low as 0.5 mg (24h) buprenorphine. Suboxone is very effective in curtailing withdrawals and cravings but no one should start taking it thinking that it will be "super easy" to come off of, as this post indicates. It is different for everyone and saying there are absolutely no withdrawals what so ever is misleading and could send people down a path they would otherwise not have chosen.

Look up Kratom and read up on it on wiki. It is very effective in managing Suboxone withdrawals and reportedly, it is significantly easier to come off of in comparison to Suboxone.

I was taking subscription oxy for about 2 years before I decided to stop completely and get on the sub program. My doctor told me originally it would take 3 months starting in Dec of 2012, now it’s April of 2013 and I’m still at it. I take 6mg a day and today I have a doctor’s appt with him and I’m going to recommend I stop taking it all together within 30 days. I’ve read a lot of good posts online here at this site and I will follow some of the recommendations to wean myself off of subs. I also think that some doctors are in it for the money and want to keep you on this stuff as long as possible for monetary gain and unfortunately, my doc is one of those. I’ll let you know how it goes.

It is a well known fact that opiates are a strong anti-histamine. When you go off, the pendumlam swings the other direction then evens out. Expect to be sneezing a lot for a while. Opiates can also cause very low testosterone in some men, something they DIDNT warn me about.

The longer you taper the better.You can say what u want about subs I too thought it was a great drug when it help to get off Narcotics, what a great scam. Anyone that has been on it for a period of 5 years plus knows getting off is a total nightmare worse than any other drug ever made so far. They don't want u to get off that is the whole point. It is about control and most certainly money. DR's are the worst at BS the patient that there is no problem getting off whenever u want. Should do a study with a group of doctors that have been on Buprenorphine for a few years and see how they change their tune. You may think this is a wonder drug but I am sure those that know the truth are laughing all the way to the bank on our misery.

Doctors and even makers dont klnow about buprenorphine long term affects, they messed up in making this medicine, it gives you PERMANGANATE BRAIN DAMAGE=FACT.

Like so many have said its life destroyed, death seems only option, trust me.

could not have said it better myself. Dont start if you are on the fence. It is hundreds times to get off than any narcotic and any dose. If you start get off within 1 month or you will be on it for many, many years to come. I am the voice of experience

Hey I am currently on 16mg a day of Suboxone , and am going to start detoxing this week . If I do follow your suggested steps . When I do get to that point how bad are the withdraw symptoms then and will taking benzo's help with this .

I feel like dying! its only been a week and my legs(especially my knees). I once read Iggy Pop stopped cold turkey also. he said he would just go out to the ocean and swim for a few hours. Me? I'm trying to do as much work aas possible trying to keep my mind off it.
