I used to get really Bad,I WOULD DOUBLE U DUE TO THIS AND EVEN VOMIT, I have to come home as soon as I get it as I know what would haen if I didnt, anyway once I had the children it went off now I think as I get older it is starting again, and when you have really Bad ains like this you use the toilet a lot AND MY LEGS WOULD FEEL LIKE JELLY DUE TO THIS., my aunty would fainT and would e in Bed for almost 2 to 3 days we would have to hel her to go to the toilet and wait for her in case she fainted later on she discovered a large cyst the doctor said that it was due to the B lood not flowing DURING THIS TIME OF THE MONTH. and she needed to undergo an operation lucky she had one child and could not have any more after that she was fine after the operation. Remember WE WERE NOT ALLOWED TO TAKE ANY MEDICATION FOR THE AINS as they said it stoed the flow. I dont Believe in it , and WE HAD TO USE TIGER BALM. IT did not really assist with the ains though. If it continues see a doctor or start to take the ill But first speak to your doctor. mY DAUGTER HAS REALLY BAD AINS DUE TO HER PERIODS SHE GOT MY ISSUES UNFORTUNATELY, But i let her take medication if she needs it.. Ask your mum if she or any of her sisters had the same issue and most likely one of them might have, Lets us know how you are good luck and god less you
Hi - I'm a 55 year old woman and have had less than five of these attacks throughout my lifetime, and had one just this morning. I felt really, really good just PRIOR to the attack. Went to the restroom for what felt like a standard BM and ended up nearly fainting, in a cold sweat, and close to passing out. I did have some diarrhea as well. My husband called me on my cell to see if I was ok and I was so weak I could barely speak to him, which worried him terribly. I knew this would pass as I had had it a few times in the past, but was extremely uncomfortable and scared for a few minutes. I was drenched when I finally started to recover. I've been drinking Kefir yogurt drink for the past week, wondering if perhaps it has altered the bacteria in my colon and caused this episode? After reading several accounts from other people I'm thinking it may have been an acute colitis episode, caused by something I ingested (had just had Starbucks oatmeal, brie and fruit...I wonder...) Thankful to be feeling better but tummy is extremely tender and still occasional gurgling. I hope a doctor reads this and can offer some advice. Thank goodness these episodes are rare.
I have been experiencing similiar problems for YEARS now and am unable to get a simple diagnosis. My flares come on quick and strong and hurt like mad. They often occur at night but not always. Sometimes, I'm even sleeping and awakened to sharp pains in my lower abdomen and sever cramping. I then go to the bathroom and can be there for several hours. I vasicilate between constipation and loose stool, often I get nauseous and sometimes even vomit, get extremely weak and fatigued and can barely move, get hot n cold, sweats, bloating, and (not sure if this is related or not) but pain after similiar pain after orgasm. My doctors and I have thought of IBS, endometriosis , colitis and a host of other things but I've yet to recieve a proper diagnosis. I am also prone to yeast infections and urinary infections. In the past I did experience a ruptured cyst but only the one time. I have had sonograms and pelvic exams, etc. and nothing is ever there. I also have irregular periods, but have almost all my life. I also get pale and and want to do nothing but climb in bed and sleep it off. I would appreciate any help as I've been experiencing these symptoms for a very long time now and am quite frustrated by it all. Anything would be helpful at this juncture. Also, there seems to be no schedule to it either, it can come on for a month or two and then be vacant for six before it occurs again. Any ideas? This is my first forum post on the subject and I could use some help here.
I have all these symptoms plus involuntary orgasm and had an episode today whilst walking my dog. I literally had to hold on to railings along the road to keep from falling - my vision was going black and I was cold yet sweating. I knew I had to get home to the toilet and thank god just about did. It was terrifying. I have had episodes before but this was the first one whilst outside. I am a 54 year old woman. My periods stopped about 3 years ago and I am menopausal. Like Pandorasbx, my episodes come on suddenly. I had not eaten anything to cause it and I think like her, I get to 'total clear out' stage. It is horrible and very scary and potentially hugely embarrassing.
I'll keep things simple as my story is complicated and after trying discovered this forum is limited for response. I am a male in my 50's. Obviously I cannot know if it is down to your menstrual cycle, however, they may not be directly linked. In my case I had the same symptoms and eventually discovered for myself I had 2 major conditions. The only help the doctors were was proving my self diagnoses. The first condition is one most would not suspect. Vertigo, in some people like myself and I suspect others here, it can be extreme. It comes on with any of these conditions and could result in any combination or all. Blurry vision, dizzy spells, collapsing and not being able to move very much without feeling awful, cold sweats, nausea, stomach cramps, and uncontrollable bowel movements usually diarrhoea. As soon as you get a mild dizzy turn reach quickly for a sea sickness remedy (Stemetil) 95% of times it will stop it entirely or reduce the condition taking hold. Sleep without moving helps if too late. The second condition is GORD or GERD depending where you are. If you are not totally debilitated with dizziness this could be the answer especially if you have a Hiatus Hernia. If you have most of the symptoms and don't want to take potentially destructive medication for the rest of your life there could be a simple answer to control (not cure) this condition. If you have the heartburn, simply eat an apple, there will be a variety that works for you (treats only the heartburn). Water is the answer. Don't laugh, try it. Everyone tells you that you should drink 2 litres or more a day, why? because it maintains good health and treats many conditions. Don't be fooled, other fluids don't work no matter how much you drink. Water is what you are made of and most of us are thirsty not hungry. Other fluids due to sugar, caffeine, alcohol etc. dehydrate. Try it for a couple of months and see how you feel. You can introduce other fluids again later but you must maintain the minimum water level and add a glass for every other fluid (its tough but works). You won't be cured but will regain control, doctors treatments are only band-aids (they rely on you returning being a chronic patient is their bread and butter and not in their interest to cure).
It starts with me waking in the middle of the night with the cold sweats, shaking, horrible abdominal pain, extreme dizziness and the urge to use the restroom. Last time it was sitting on the toilet, soaked in sweat with my heart racing while trying to get everything out of me, and being so dizzy I thought I would pass out several different times.
This time, I did pass out after only being able to pee. I fell through the shower curtain into the bathtub, but because we still have the track from the old shower doors on, it scraped my whole right hip area, which is now severely bruised and painful. I'm due to have hip replacement surgery on it next month, so I was a little worried about that, but the joint feels the same, my muscles just feel mutilated. I tried to walk to the kitchen to drink some cold water and barely remember hitting the wall in the hallway...next thing I know I'm waking up in the hall floor with one of the cats meowing at me. I felt like I was going to have diarrhea right there, so I made myself crawl back into the bathroom because I was too dizzy to stand. Once I got in the bathroom, I slowly pulled myself up, then passed out again and woke up in the tub, again. It took me a whole lot of strength and praying for God to not let me die, and I finally made it to the toilet and ended up having a horrible green diarrhea. I don't usually eat greasy or fast food, but yesterday I did eat McDonalds of all things. That would completely explain the poor food choice theory triggering these issues. I had to take the day off work, Ive been icing my hip and bum and taking anti inflammatories as well, hoping for the pain to subside.
Do you start by going to your primary care doctor for this issue? I don't know where to start. Also, I am 5 days away from starting my period, and I think it was pretty close with the last incident as well. I remember thinking during the episode, that I wasn't sure if my stomach or ovaries were the source of the pain, but I suppose I should get both checked to be safe.
Good luck to all of you in finding some relief and answers with this problem. It's horrible and terrifying when you feel your heart is beating so fast and hard that you may die, and the pain is so bad and intolerable you pass out and can't move.
Can you help me. I have episodes of extreme diarreria,. my heart beats fast I feel out of control sweating and want faint. Yesterday I had my 4th attack, I blacked out and woke to hear my husband hollering. These episodes come on fast and leaves me week;. I now have blood in my stool. Is this just chocked up to irritable bowel? My doctor says go to minor emergency. Please help me. Helen Kraft
Oh my goodness. Thank you for posting this! Not only have I experienced all the symptoms but will now offer vasovagal syncope as something to test for. After the last couple of expensive ER visits with no conclusive findings by the doctors *shakes head* this maybe the issue. Taking gluten/soy out of my diet couldn't hurt. Thanks for posting!
I am a 69yr old lady and I am suffering the same and my doctor has told me I have Gastroenteritis, and to take Dioralyte, hope this helps.
consider Mastocytosis...all these symptoms a 48 hour urine test will provide the sample needed to check for the tryptase markers
