Uncomfortable pressure under left rib cage

Hi -- For the last six months or so I have had uncomfortable pressure under my left rib cage. When I first noticed it I was sick with the flu and my husband made me go to the doctor. They did an MRI and ruled out any problems with my spleen, etc. It seemed to go away after that, but lately I have been noticing it again. I feel it when I am lying down and sitting down. I try to stretch or move into a more comfortable position but it just won't go away. Not painful exactly, just a dull ache and pressure. Any ideas? Thanks. Penny

What test did they do to find the tumor?! I've been dealing with pain for a year! Daily. I have had CAT Scan, Colonoscopy and X-rays. No answers. I am so sick of being in pain and want answers.
Hi did you find out what was wrong?
Today my doc said the lower left rib pressure was due to swollen diaphragm. She said irratation from acid reflux could cause this. So tomorrow i start trying prescription acid reflux medication. Don't know if it will work, but another thing for everyone to try!
I have been struggling for this for more than a year. I've had people tell me it is everything from constipation to a pulled muscle. After several CT Scans and expensive tests (more than $4000) I can't find an answer, and can't afford to continue random testing.
Yes to all
I have had this same sensation a few times over the years. It feels really uncomfortable like you could lift it out. I had a scan and nothing showed. It disappeared just after. Maybe it was anxiety seeing it went after the scan. I’m having it again now and I am anxious at the moment.
Did you ever notice any difference in your breathing?
Hello dear how r you now
Hello. Did you ever figure out what was wrong? I have had this EXACT same thing for years, I just never knew how to put it into words. It is not painful, like you said, but just extremely uncomfortable and frustrating. Almost like an invisible bulge that is tender and puts pressure on my side. Lower left, below the rib cage, and I feel it most when sitting or lying on my side. And I’ve tried stretching it out! Lol. Have had X-rays, ultrasounds, cat scans, all of it. But nothing! I really want to know that I’m not crazy and there is legitimately something going on in there.
Hi, has anyone figured out or know of any possible causes. I also have been suffering with similar symptoms for approx 3yrs. Feeling is a dull ache a sense that there is a mass / enlargement in lower left side of abdomen in between the ribs and hip bone, that shouldn't be there. The feeling is constant, some days worse than others. I have noticed over time change in bowel movements, and feel fatigued almost all the time. I have had, urine tests, blood tests, stool sample and ultrasound. Only thing identified was inflammation traces in blood test. But very minimal no action was required.
Same exact thing for over a year. Colonoscopy, endoscopy, CT scan, and blood work all clean. It’s pretty much constant. I have had some brief period when it’s nearly went away (usually when I manage to forget about it) but it come back with a vengeance every time. Now seems to be accompanied by left umbilical pain.    Gastro says it’s chronic constipation and gave me Linzess. Apparently it come in 3 dose sizes and costs around $500 for a 90 day supply. The middle does gave me total water BMs and didn’t help with the pain at all.
Solution: Your body should be hydrated. ( Drink lots of water and maintain your uric level ) Try and check result in next 3 days.
Just was in the ER for 7 hours because I was getting so uncomfortable with the same pressure. They did a CT scan and I have diverticulitis. Hope that helps.
Sounds like spleen
