I had an ablation on July 5th and it is nearly 16 weeks later. I still get a 2 day period from time to time, but that is not what concerns me. Before this surgery, I had little to no discharge...now there is ALWAYS a clear discharge coming from my vagina. I always have to use a pantyliner. The flow is constant. As I type this, I feel it. To me, this does not seem normal since this did not happen before the surgery and is constant now. If I do not wear a pad, my panties and pants and upper thighs are soaked. He says all women have discharge and that it is normal. I do not want to go the rest of my life like this. I almost wish I would have kept my period. Has anyone else had an endless clear flow for this long a time?
Hn.. I cant say thats what I had.. Not constant.. I had mine done Oct 11th. Two weeks ago exactly.. When I woke up in recovery, I was begging for meds, felt like I woke up in a strange room in full labor.. Ouch. Morphine didnt help a bit, however, within minutes I was in my room, up and walking and eatting, so they let me go home with meds. After I took the second round of meds, the pain was back to normal, period like cramps.. Then, up until 4 days ago, it was GREAT! No bleeding, barely anything else. Very mild pain. Then the spotting started, and has gotten worse until today, which it disappeared, and then came on again. Oy... No smells, or colors, but I do get the discharge more than I would like, here and there.. We will see.. Hanrobecowen, Have you contacted your doctor about this??
I have several times and they said that it is normal until 12 weeks. It is passed that now and he said that discharge is normal for women. Yeah, it is...but not like this....the clear discharge has not lessened since the procedure. I have an appointment with him on Oct. 31...if he is still refusing to even look into it, I am getting a second opinion and then maybe a lawyer. I do not want this to go on for the rest of my life. My bleeding is still weird, too. Day 4 of a period and cramping. At this point, I would have been better off having nothing done. I was not impressed with him. He did not even tell me they found a cyst in there and checked it for cancer...I did not find that out until the 2 week post op visit. I just think it will be horrible to have to wear a pad for the next 50 years.
I had my ablasion done 11 days ago in the doctors office with only a local. Bad idea! It was very painful and after the local wore off I went to the ER because the percocet was not helping. By day 2 the pain/cramps were managable with meds. I have had very little discharge and no smell like I hear from others. I feel 95% better but still can't be on my feet for very long. No fatigue, but the cramps come back if I walk to much.
I just want to be able to excersise again.
I finally found out what was the deal with me and it was unrelated to the ablation, he said. He said that for some reason I am producing a lot of cervical mucous and he put me on a steroid for 6 months. I should stop leaking that fluid by month two. It is just too much of a coincidence that I start leaking that fluid the same time as I have an ablation and leak clear fluid for that. I hope he is right and they are not related and the surgery was not faulty. I hope the drug fixes it, because if it does not, he said a hysterectomy is next. Whatever to stop leaking and not wear pads every day for 4 months now. Will be pads for a total of 6 to 10 months, every single day, before it is done. Boo. Nothing happens to men. Not fair.
