I always feel the best when im am working out or when my blood is pumping good. But when I finish working out, that 'bad' feeling comes back. Sometimes makes me think its a circulation problem.

i too feel that is may be related to blood flow. i feel the best when my heart is pumping fast...like at the gym working out. Its jsut a horrible thing to have to deal with on a 24/7 basis for 20 years

No, They have not found my problem. I have been to ENTs, Cardiologists, Neurologists, and Cleveland Clinic in OHIO and they say its NOT in my head. Its been going on for about 20 years now and I just learn to live with it and do what I can. don't give your life up for it...go out and do things even if it doesn't feel good 'cause u will miss out on alot if you don't. I'm thankful mine waiting until I was in my 30s to start and not at 15. Good luck.

Have any of you tried a Chiropractor? This happens to me when my neck is out, I get a feeling like i'm starting to get drunk and it comes and goes. Usually an adjustment will fix the problem. Take note of when it happens; when you are doing something in particular (like driving when your arms are in an elevated postion) and youll soon work out if it's neck relatated.

Rarely is lightheadedness like that neurological and your family doctor should know that. The more common causes are anxiety or cardiovascular. Even hypoglycemia is seen more often than neurological problems. With fainting, you should be evaluated by a cardiologist for vasovagal syncope or other arrhythmias.

Devoted123, I'm sorry you have been living with this for so long. I have had the same symptoms for about the last 4 years. I have been to 14 doctors with no answers. i am currently trying allergy shots. I was just curious to see if that was something you tried. Maybe we can help eachother :)

I've have had constant lightheadedness for nearly 4 years (24/365).  I know how miserable it can be!  Like most who've posted, I've seen all the doctors and had all the tests with no definitive conclusion.  For about a year and a half I saw an upper cervical chiropractor thinking that it had something to do with my neck.  However, I began to notice a trend: My dizziness/lightheadedness was always worse when I was stressed; and thinking I was out-of-alignment always made me stressed!  It was a constant battle.  I finally gave up the chiropractor.  The best "answer" I have ever received was from my neurologist.  He said I most likely had unidentifiable/unfixable inner ear damage, most likely from a virus.  Most people's brains are able to override such damage, but for whatever reason, mine is not. Anxiety/stress (physical and mental - which is a given when going through this), adds immensley to the problem, which I found to be true. He did subscribe a low dose of an anti-anxiety drug (which I hated the idea of taking) that has worked wonders!  Though I still suffer with the symptom, it is much more livable now than it ever was before.  jennd121 - I tried the whole allergy route too. :/  Hope what I have gone through sheds a little light for someone else!  I'm happy to hear anyone else's findings/opinions too!

I did the Chiropractor thing for a while too, saw no improvements. I am currently seeing an ENT/Allergist and have been doing allergy shots for maybe 10 weeks or so. The dizziness feels like it is starting to get a little worse, but I seem a little more clear. I'm hoping maybe that is a sign that this is what my problem is. It is amazing that something can be so horrible and affect so many people, with no real way of figuring it out or helping it. i can't imagine living the rest of my life like this. :S. At least we have eachother!!

I have had the same problem and have been to five different doctors but they haven't found anything yet. It is very frustrating.

thanks for your reply. It gives me a little hope. I feel that stress is part of the problem but maybe not all. My foot dr. put me on a neuro vitamin and it helped a litlle so I may just try the anti anxiety drugs and see what they do.
