Hi,
I'm still numb after 10 months...and tight of course. Is anyone still tight and numb? I'm afraid I might have nerve damage...

I had neck lift with lipo 4 and a half years ago. I still have noose effect (but better), some burning, numbness in ears and pulling and tight sensation in cheeks. Sometimes its awful. Sometimes just a nuisance. It comes and goes with no real predictors.I have tried nerve blocks, many diff drugs and antidepressants, fascia release massage, acupuncture, etc Nothing works. Seen sooo many Drs. Over time it has become better but I wish I never did this.

I have a lot of bumps under my chin and neck, and can now feel my stitches through my skin. I also have severe sensitivity on my neck. When I am out walking my dogs and the sun hits my neck, it feels like it's fire. I also get random hotness in my neck.
I had a little lip done under my chin, recommended, and its' still swollen. Id this all normal?

I had Lipo, the platsmaplasty, and lower facelift with SMAS In 11-2017. I have large pouch under right side of chin ( when I had the loose skin at least it was centered directly in the middle ) Board certified Dr. is so proud of his surgery.
If right side looked like left side would be easier to accept. And left side has a much smaller pouch very asymmetrical. He is going to try vaserlipo to see if it will help. I stay home, I'm think I'm depressed, I avoid people I know because pouch on right side looks like I have some kind of medical issue. Jaw definition much better in January.
I have the same tightness under my chin and it also feels like a noose around my neck. Unfortunately, I had the same surgery almost 6 years ago and it has not improved. I suffer from depression and anxiety from this feeling and no one seems to know how it can improve. I regret having this surgery every single day and am trying to figure out a way to survive.
Did the PRP treatments help the pulling under your neck sensation?
Hi - I want to look into the PRP treatments. Did it really help the noose-like sensation on your neck?
Hi there - It’s been a year and wondering Did you ever heal properly! I have the same thing. Did you jawline tighten or did you get a revision? Thanks L
I am 1 year and still numb and my left ear still hurts...and I have nerve problems s
I had a revision done last year and I have a problem moving my neck up n down. My surgery for a not a full facelift last March it's been a nightmare for me...I'm still numb, choking feeling, problems with hissing in my left ear...I had no idea it would be this terrible...I had it done by a top Plastic surgeon on Long island...OR SO I THOUGHT.... and I paid cash...
Had facelift Jan 2018 and as of April 2019 numbness along the scar of both ears. My plastic surgeon numbness not related to facelift. My doctor numbness related to scar tissue from facelift. Nerve damage can occur with any plastic surgery procedure.
Nerves are cut when you do a facelift. Scar tissue develops under the skin. Depends if the nerves regenerate. Sometimes they don't. Plastic surgeons do not tell you this may happen. All they say just a few weeks/months and the numbness will go away; not always.
OMG - Yes!!! I have the EXACT problem - sagging skin and huge indentation under my chin. I cry all the time. I paid $16,000!!!! Dr. Stoker just says "let it heal" - - that is all I never hear. It is now 3 months and my jawline and neck look worse.
I have two words for you and they're not Merry Christmas. If you felt the way I feel 8 months post op deep plane facelift, you wouldn't be writing, "just look in the mirror and smile." I feel like I have a shoelace tied tightly around my neck. Do you think with that kind of feeling one could just look in the mirror and smile?
Hi having the same issues what did u do? I gave it hanging on both sides more on the right and my jowls seen to be getting worse please advise
